It was during…read morethe beginning stages of the World Cup too, and there's a TV at the bar which was nice to watch the games. Happy hour is from 2-6p Monday through Friday at the bar only. I'm a big fan of sitting at the bar. The happy hour prices are really good, some of the best in town. Just an FYI, the dirty martini is not on happy hour. * Burrata: It was good, but he doesn't like tomatoes which kind of takes away from a good burrata if you don't have tomatoes. * Filet mignon tartare: This was delightful. I'd order this again and again. * Pesto gnocchi: This was my favorite dish of the day. It was so light and tasty. * Salamino flatbread: Flatbread is always a good choice and the burst of spice from the salami was great. * Arancini: These were a hit. I really liked these a lot. While the happy hour was great, I'd love to come back to Forma for dinner so I can try more things.

The restaurant had a wonderful atmosphere as well. Since it was very busy, we weren't able to dine indoors and ate out on the patio instead. The servers were extremely kind, and everything, including the restrooms and the dining area, was very clean and well-maintained. If we visit again next time, we would love to have a meal inside the restaurant.

They have heat lamps and twinkle lights. They have paper and crayons for the kids. Victor was our waiter and he was awesome! Food: We got the chicken meatballs, Arancini, the salad with the fried capers and shrimp, and tagliatelle mushroom dish, corn, margherita pizza. My favorites were the Arancini, anchovy caper salad, and the tagliatelle. The dish that stole the show was the tagliatelle! The service is great. They can help you and we dinned there and ordered food to take home. They had it hot and ready when we got out check. Milo and Olive uses seasonal, market-driven food which leads to the best ingredients available from local farmers and vendors with sustainable practices. Breakfast has the best handcrafted breads, rustic pastries and morning desserts. They also have a full breakfast men with dishes incorporating a variety of breads, For lunch and dinner they have great salads and pasta. Less is more. But let's talk art (culinary, that is). The dishes certainly deserve main features. To start "the best Caesar salad in LA" and I quote which was certainly true. Grilled octopus charred on the inside and juicy at the center. Spicy pomodoro is perfectly al dente and a well-balanced sauce. But, my favorite-- the agnolotti! Wow, melt in your mouth! The flavor profiles of corn, crème fraiche, and old bay were delicious. My only wish -- larger serving of this (smallest pasta serving on the menu). To complete it, banana pudding tiramisu -- delicious too with a firm center and oozy outside. Atala was wonderful and very sweet. Recommendation: come with a group of at least 4 to try more on the menu -- the large plates (branzino and ribeye) looked excellent! Definitely a worthwhile visit.

Straightforward dishes presented with panache. Efficient and timely check-in and friendly service. Both times, we sat at the counter which, to me, is the best way to experience this place. This visit was pretty much exactly the same, except it lacked its original luster. A perfect example is their signature dish, the spicy pomodoro. The visual presentation of this dish used to be eye candy. A glistening and generous pool of basil oil neatly poured into a hollowed out dollop of ricotta, atop a mound of impeccably dressed and perfectly cooked pasta. Gorgeous. But this time all of the visual proportions were off. And the portion was smaller. Instead of being a showstopper, the dish looked a little sad compared to the original. Last night, it arrived with a tiny splash of basil oil that punctuated a smallish schmear of dense ricotta. The pasta was fine. But it wasn't at all spicy and it did not feel the least bit elevated. In other words, this dish has lost its mojo. We also ordered the pasta special. Short rib raviolis. It was rich and delicious. No complaints. Only praise. The service is still casual yet professional, and best of all, pleasant and accommodating. The new raw bar across the way is a bit of a scene, in a good way, and kind of clubby...with really good air conditioning. Last night it was pretty hot outside, and more-so inside the restaurant at the counter. It's especially hot if you happen to get seated by the heat lamps (food warmers). Pro tip: Avoid these seats if you can!

For dinner we got the spicy rigatoni and the tonnarelli, the waiter let me swap the pasta shape of the Cacio e Pepe from tonnarelli to tagliatelle and it was a game changer, felt like it was melting in my mouth. Served with vodka sauce, it's delicious when it's hot, never had this dish elsewhere. It comes with two of it. However, it started to get heavy after half piece of it. So consider getting a salad to pair with it. Perfect for 3-4 person to share I'd say, or prepare to have some leftover if it's just two of you. Pepe-roni Pizza (8.5/10): honestly I quite like this, it wasn't a lot of filling so it's not the super heavy kind of pizza. I prefer thin crust pizza over super "bread-y" pizzas, this pizza is airy yet the crust is very crisp and light. Yummy. (^ Would come back to try the Copione pizza TAGLIATELLE (7-8/10): My friend ordered it, I did try so I can't speak much for that looks good to me. This place is slightly over-priced for what it is but the food is for sure delicious, makes sense for the Venice/ Santa Monica area. Ambience is cozy, clean, nothing super aesthetically pleasing. Seems like a great place to have friends gathering dinner, no loud music and can have conversation.

The restaurant offers plenty of seating space inside as well as outside. Our server was really attentive and suggested items from the menu that are popular as well as some of the entrees that are loved by staff. Calamari Fritti was a different spin on a traditional calamari. It was fried with a batter that was a little sweet. The lemon wedge helped cut the sweetness. The two sauces provided a nice touch. Seared scallops were delicious and cooked perfectly. The bed of sweet corn risotto accompanied the protein well. The crispy shallots were a miss, for me. They were bitter. Roasted salmon entree was good. The fish was cooked well and the pesto pasta was good. Overall, the restaurant was a good choice for a delicious meal. The service is great and ambiance completes the dinner.

The place was so charming, but I always find TVs to be an aesthetic buzzkill. It felt out of place compared to the rest of it; but that's someone's cup of tea! (Esp during World Cup). There were 3 other people sitting at the bar, rather chill. Took some time to get the bartenders attention-- she'd be chatting with coworkers, looking right past my direction, then proceeding to chat. The gentleman next to me was attempting to get his check for 5 mins before he got her attention lol.. it just gave such a cold vibe to the start of the experience. I asked what the quickest thing on the menu would be, concluded to getting some bread (ya girl was ready to eat an elephant) to make things quick and 15 mins later proceeded to cancel it. I work in this industry, so it's hard when I see someone take note of something, then proceed to not give a hell about it and chit chat. No pit stop to the kitchen, no "hey, can we check on this?". It was cancelled, then the dish came out anyway. The runner was sweet and just gave it to me anyhow, however at that point it was 5 mins from the rezy and the moments passed for a gal to have a peaceful grub. She dropped the check without a word and grabbed the check without a word and that wassss on THAT. Food was great, dinner went awesome-- our server was kind and attentive. Got the shrimp squid ink pasta, was nice to see pescatarian options-- tho not many vegetarian. Paid parking across the street was $3. Not a bad deal! Thanks for having us yall.
