In the master we had Bobby move hot& cold copper pipes in the wall to fit behind the double vanity. When I called the office to inquire about some additional work besides some major plumbing performed last summer, I was greeted like a repeat customer, and the technicians showed up within a couple of hours. Recently had a leaky faucet and did not have time to call around for estimates. Figured this is a local company and needed to find a good plumber. We did not find a good company and will never use them again. For minutes of work and a part under $20 we were over charged. When I called the owner the next day to question this charge and give him the opportunity to make it right his only defensive response was " you do not know my expenses, you do not run my company, you agreed to the cost, you can call any plumber and it will be the same cost." When it was clear he would not make it right, I stated that I would be sharing my story on Yelp. He said "I do not care, I have hundreds of 5 star reviews and you can call around that is a fair price." Well, I did call around and you grossly over charged. I can see now from reading other poor reviews the owner will respond to this poor review with the same cavalier response he gave me on the phone. Not a good experience! The undersink filtration system was not installed correctly and spout completely loose. When asked to fix it was told they don't fix after install and very defensive although it was only a few days later. I hired Bob Muller (Personal Plumping) to install 2 toilets in my rental property in Escondido in August 2018. I could not be more satisfied with this experience. Bob is very knowledgeable, professional, and very easy to work with, and that is an understatement. From the start of the project he spent quite a bit of time of time on the phone to answer all my questions and giving options for what to do with those old toilets... The fellow he sent (Michael) was simply awesome, on time and did everything correctly (I did my own research, and I happen to have replaced toilets not too long ago at my house in San Diego). A glitch happened during installation, and one of the toilets did not fit in the space (that was my fault)! Michael fortunately recognized this immediately and saved us a ton of headache. I had to replace this toilet with one that works a couple of weeks later and there were no issues with Bob or Mike. Did Not even charge me extra for this delay, or repackaging the toilet that did not fit!!! I would 100% recommend those guys. They definitely know what they're doing, their work is high quality and their quotes are pretty competitive. They are my go to plumbers in North County. Discovered that the original enameled, cast iron sink in one of the bathrooms was chipped and rusting through, causing a leak. We hired Bob Muller before and after Googling his name found out he was with Personal Plumbing. We called and he responded quickly and got us a next day appointment. Ed arrived at 10am (the window they provided was 10-2) and did a great job. He really took care of the whole installation. It was a tight squeeze and he had to help with a furnace pipe that was in the way, and also had to reroute the water line that fed the booster pump b/c he felt it was too close to the top of the water heater. Bob's service and response was invaluable. Our upstairs bathtub had sprung a bad leak and water was literally "showering" down into our kitchen counter and breakfast nook! Apparently the builders did a poor job connecting the bathtub drain and when our houseguest took a shower above us we experienced the consequences! Upon shutting off the main water valve to our house I called "Bob" immediately and within 2 hours they arrived to survey the issue. As mentioned it was merely a poorly attached tub drainpipe - but since we had never used the Jack/Jill bathroom before, there was never an issue till yesterday. Anyways, within an hour the problem was diagnosed, repaired and tested, and only a small 6" x 12" hole had to be cut in our ceiling below the drainpipe to determine the cause of the leak. Fortunately we didn't require any remediation as the leak only happened for less than 15 minutes, so we were lucky! Bob's team handled this job PROMPTLY and PROFESSIONALLY and very REASONABLY! I can highly recommend Bob's Personal Plumbing to anyone who has any sort of plumbing issue - we used them in our previous home in Encinitas, and now as well in San Juan Capistrano. Ed, our service tech, was friendly, easy to talk to, efficient, professional, and knows his way around plumbing. He looked at all of our projects, told me what needed to be done and got to it. It's a pleasure to have a service tech take his time on a job and not race through to get to the next one. Ed allotted enough time to accomplish everything. He worked carefully to auger one of our toilets due to a drain clog without damaging the unit. However, the toilet will have to be removed on a second visit once we purchase a new one because, unfortunately, the clog (whatever it is) won this battle, despite Ed's tenacity. Long story short, I had a sewage back up in my shower, I called Personal Plumbing because I had used them before and trusted that I would get good service at a fair price. After charging me $500 to clear the drain, they told me I had a tree root problem. They gave me an estimate (I was naive in thinking that this small locally owned company was offering me, a repeat customer, a fair price) The estimate was for $1650, I called Bob and talked to him personally about reducing the price considering I was a repeat customer, his exact words were, "if I give you a discount on the service, then I would loose money if I have to do any warrenty work". He couldnt tell me how long of a warrenty they could offer me on my pipes after they clear the line until they are able to look at the pipes after the roots are cleared. I agreed to the work and they came out to start, 1/2 way through, I approach the plumber and asked him what kind of warrently am I looking at based on my pipes, he said, "we NEVER issue a warrently of tree root work, company policy" So I tell him about my conversation with bob, he calls bob. Bob offers me two options: clean up and leave and I don't pay anthing or continue with the work, pay full price and he would give me a 1 week warrenty. His plumber strongly advised that I continue with the work considering another back up could happen anytime and if it were his house, he would continue. So I did. Their equipement (the knocker) could only reach 60 feet from my clean out, the camera went further and ran into a root intrusion at 71 feet. Their equipment couldn't reach it. They suggested that I install a double sweep clean out at the cost of $3500 in order to clean the roots. After paying Personal Plumbing $2210, I was still left with roots in my pipes that they couldn't reach. Based on their assessment, the tree that was causing the intrusion at 71 ft was owned by the city, I called the city and told them the whole stroy. They suggested that, instead of installing a cleanout, hire a plumber that had a longer "knocker". I was again, naive and didn't know that that existed. So i called Bill Howe. Bill Howe came out, ran their knocker 111 feet at the total cost of $223. ($154 for the first 100 feet and $69 for each 25 feet after). I paid personal plumbing 7.6 ($2210) times what I paid Bill Howe to do, and they did an additional 51 feet. (leaving NO tree roots in my pipes) Bill Howes plumber also ran his camera the full 111 feet to make sure that the pipe was cleared and didn't charge me a dime for that. Just wanted to show me that they did what they were hired for. I emailed Bob and explained everything, suddenly, the very responsive bob is now silent. No response to my email. I'm asking him to explain why the inflated charges or what special service did his company give me that justifies such an increase in cost for the same services from another company, especially considering Personal Plumbing left me with tree roots still invading my pipes because they lacked long enough equipment to reach it. I'm asking for a reimbursement for some of the money I paid his company based on the very contradictory "warrenty' information, the inability to complete the job and the inflated costs. Not such a short story! Good luck with any plumbng issue you're having (if your reading this you must be looking for a plumber, do your due diligence by getting a couple estimates. tw (Bill Howe's estimate for a double sweep clean out was also $1000 less than PP) read more

Our garbage disposer stopped working and the flushing mechanisms on three toilets were ready for new replacements, and the base of one toilet seemed to be leaking. Fortunately, we had a referral for Personal Plumbing, Inc. and the owner sent a very competent and very personable plumber, within a matter of hours after my call for help. Their prices were more than fair. Also, their plumber discovered that the bolts securing the kitchen sink in place, were very loose and the sink was in danger of dropping completely out. So he tightened them with an appropriate tool, and needless to say, this was the potential for a very expensive accident. This review is surprisingly for.... actually not doing any repairs! I'm not new to home renovations or repairs but have not had to replace a toilet yet. There was a smell whenever one of the toilets was flushed. A quick search online suggested that the wax ring might need to be replaced. I reached out to 8 plumbing companies and 7 of them were happy to sell me the service (some prices were doubled the other's bids). Muller Plumbing Services was the only one that actually read my message with the full description of my issue. From what I had disclosed, Robert was able to tell me that my problem was most likely not the wax ring and he does sell services/products that are not needed nor would it fix the problem. I did a little more research and it turned out that Robert was correct and I ended up saving hundreds of dollar and hours of headaches.
