Petition is a cute coffee shop in the downtown area of Eugene, Oregon. It's super cozy inside and youre immediately greeted with a chill vibe going in. People are sitting on couches and some others are doing work. They have an assortment of coffee drinks and the barista was friendly. I ordered a hot chocolate and it was a bit expensive in my opinion and it wasn't super chocolatey so I feel like it was just okay. Cute place with a really cozy atmosphere. First time visitor to this place, roughly 9:40a on a Saturday. Not overly crowded, but still bustling. I love the decor, the rugs on the wall are great. Are they selling them? Not sure, but they were very luxurious and exotic feeling. My friend and I didn't have to wait in line and both ordered a tea to go - mine a mango black tea, and hers a rooibos tea. $4.75 each, and we added a $1 tip. Even though the teas were to go, we managed to snag an open couch in to the left of where orders are taken. For two people, it felt somewhat private and out of the way - perfect for us to chat. You order the drinks, and then go to the far end to wait for them to be made and presented. The wait was less than 5 minutes. The draw back to this visit was the temperature of the tea. Both my friend and I love piping hot drinks, and usually have poor experiences with drinks being lukewarm which is awful. However, this tea was scalding hot. We are both tea drinkers, and boiling water straight off the stove cools down faster than these teas did. It was a minimum of 10 minutes before we tried to take a sip, and I still burnt my tongue, they were still that hot. It just made it much less enjoyable to sit in the space, chatting, with scalding teas that were too hot to enjoy after a normal amount of time. Steeping time is 4 minutes, which is standard. Normally, at about 5-6 minutes you're ready to drink, even if you're blowing on it a little. This was a 10+ minute wait for the drinks to cool down, just to end up burning my tongue anyways. And I repeat, we are not shrinking violets - we like hot teas, there was something super wrong with the temperature of these. Overall, I would go back, but next time, I'm going to say something if the tea comes out that hot again. I'm hoping this was a fluke. read more

Really nice cafe in town. Ordered a dark mocha latte and a croissant. The latte wasn't too sweet and really gave the dark chocolate a chance to shine. The croissant (which were freshly made today) were the perfect consistency, soft and flaky with just the right amount of butter. The place has nice really warm vibes for the atmosphere, with chill music that also doesn't sound like a spa (if that makes sense). Super nice barista, just really nice place all around. Cute, little cafe with a couple of nooks. Most of the tables are in the main and are fairly close together, but it's still pretty quiet and (although I was using noise cancelling headphones for a bit more isolation). I was feeling a little afternoon tea and got the Immune tea (a rooibos with a touch of a minty flavor). Totally hit the spot :) They've also got a number of other food and drink items, so I'll definitely have to come back to check it out. read more

Y'all, I tried. Three times. But ultimately, I do not enjoy this place for any of the reasons one might go in. When it comes to beverage based venues, it's got to hit any two out of three points or there's no hope. Price, quality, atmosphere. I tried the coffee. I tried the tea. I tried the wine. Seating always sucks, expect to rely on luck or cutthroatedness, the bottle neck makes navigating the space a pain. The person behind the counter is always uppity, coffee is not good. Tea tasted fine, but I go to tea to enjoy the company I'm with in the space we're spending our time, and for the price, there are better choices by far. The wine was awful, and I drink a lot of wine. Tasted corked, and the server was snobby on this point for serving essentially swill. It sucks because I super wanted to love it here, they've got a fantastic orange couch. I just won't pay to sit on it again. read more

Cute Cafe. A solid place to sit down and chill over a cup of coffee. We ordered one hit chocolate and kept walking around the town. The service was quick, and we got it in under 5 minutes. It was a good hot chocolate, but I don't think I would come back for it. I've definitely had a lot better. Great effort though. read more

As an avid coffee addict this place was legendary. Best coffee I've had and I'm from Virginia.

Perugino makes a very nice and delicious chai, albeit a little bit more savory then some of the typical chais that they have out there. In addition, the decor is very gorgeous and doesn't look like a typical generic coffee shop. Plus, it's in the middle of urban Eugene, so it stands out. (I work from home at one of the businesses close by Perugino, so I have become more familiar with their chai.) If you like your chai a little bit more sweet, I would definitely recommend adding some sugar. It's nice to taste something different in the coffee shop world. read more

Lovely little cafe with a moderately Italian / Hipstery vibe, very relaxing and comfortable. Staff is friendly and helpful, the coffee was great along with the biscotti which is made by a local bakery so that's a big plus. Would definitely go here more often if I was in the area, not terribly expensive and has a nice view of downtown. read more

Love this little hole in the wall! Great concept, at least I think so! Haven't done the food or wine side but the coffee and matcha are superb! My matcha latte today was perfect! I also like that the prices are reasonable - I hate when places charge an arm and a leg for modifications like milk, hot/iced, adding flavor, etc. The staff is also sweet and soft spoken, which I think is perfect for the vibe the pace has. Absolute excellence! Walked by looking for a quick bite, looked like a very nice place so I dropped in. I ended up getting a Panini and a cold brew, the cold brew taste is very great, the food was equally as great. It's fairly quick service even despite there being a small line. I was expecting a decent price considering the nice environment but the place is actually very fair priced. Considering how good the food and drink are, this might be the best quality to price place I've visited in town. Will definitely be back, probably every Saturday as the Farmers Market is literally just around the corner. read more

Perugino has it's own unique vibe that is hard to find in Eugene. The rugs hanging on the walls make it even more lovely and unique. It's a nice place to enjoy a good conversation or read, as it doens't get too loud- I especially appreciate that the staff keep their voices down to match the atomosphere. They make a lovely borgia and I enjoy their house coffee. The baristas always seem friendly and the owner is incredibly kind! read more

Love the ambiance of this place! My family and I came here to grab coffees before touring the U of O campus but we decided to linger a little longer to enjoy the space. Their espresso tasted very high quality and strong. We ordered some of the cookies they had in their pastry cabinet which were delicious! A business connection suggested we meet at Perugino. Being a lover of coffee, that sounded like a better alternative than a conference room in an office building. Oh - but it was much better than I even imagined. From the moment I saw the place from the street, I knew it was going to be special. It didn't disappoint. The moment I stepped in, I could smell the rich aroma of coffee and pastries. Lots of choices of course, but I went to the dark roast brewed mug of coffee to check out whether it measured up. I like a French press with Italian roast - you can almost chew it. And this brewed cup of coffee at Perugino was a rich and fulfilling experience. Great. My colleague arrived and we had a wonderful little table near the front that was private, quiet and yet felt like we were part of the place and people gathering there. I don't know if you know what I mean, but the feeling of having some space to think and talk, but also being part of something good that is bigger than just us - it's perfect. read more

There are some places so pretty that its image tugs at your heartstrings and forces you to cast an indulgent eye upon its quirks. Perugino, with its high ceilings, warm lighting, and echoes of architectural genius, has found a way, through my artistic heart, straight into my pocket. I love the dark wood, the warm tapestries, the long tables, the quiet nooks, the blue and white cracked porcelain tables, and the voiceless music. I can abide by the long, alienated hallway walk to the bathroom, and the sparsity of outlets. I'm currently sitting in Perugino with a pistachio-cranberry biscotti & a steaming mug of spicy house chai, pretending like it's not 95 degrees and rising outside. Having positioned myself directly underneath an air-conditioning vent, the whole setup is nicely reminiscent of autumn. Whenever a sweat breaks out on my forehead, I take a sip of ice-cold lemon water, let the heat pass, and recommence with my gustatory cookie dunking. The latte foam adds the perfect touch of spicy, creamy sweetness to my nut-and-fruit studded biscotti; I do not fault the fly that hovers dangerously near my afternoon tea, hoping I'll look away as it swoops in for a taste. I could do this forever-- the cookie dunking, the chai foam mustache, the overzealous slurping-- but looking down, I realize that I've already snarfed down the entire length of the cookie... which makes me sad... but also hopeful that some kind soul at Perugino will read this review & make the biscotti strips larger for extended dunking pleasure. read more

This is a review of their happy hour. Their menu is small, because even tho they have a wide range of varietals, they only offer maybe one bottle for each varietal. But that's okay; there choices of wines are good. The prices however... $1 off an $8 glass of wine isn't really happy hour. It if it was $5-6 glasses, there might be more of a crowd. In any case, none of the patrons struck me as being there just to take advantage of the happy hour prices anyway. This is definitely a quiet spot, maybe for professionals who desire a more refined environment for relaxing after work. I enjoyed my quiet corner of the room, and maybe that was worth $7. read more

Cute place with a great atmosphere and the smells are amazing. However a little over priced and I've never been somewhere that doesn't mix your iced chai. Or any reputable cafe that uses dry chair mixes. Giving an iced chai to someone when using a dry mix needs to be properly stirred. The three of us walked our drinks back in then they made us iced Italian sodas which were fine. I would say that y'all need to step it up. read more
