Had this place on my list of spots I needed to check out, and was finally in Sherman Oaks, so made it a necessity to stop by. Walked inside and was immediately greeted by hip hop music playing. Makes your soul happy. After looking at the menu, which is hefty ish, went up and placed my order. The Weezy, with a creme brulee top, freshly bruleed to order, was decent. I was looking for that glassy, crackly brulee you get from the actual dessert, but that was not here. Flavor wise, it tasted like a regular cinnamon roll with a little burn to it. Not my favorite. The X, which comes with cinnamon toast crunch on top, was pretty good, with the extra cinnamon from the cereal, though some of the cereal pieces tasted a little stale. Still a tasty bun! Finally was the Missy, with strawberry shortcake crumbles and fresh strawberries. Probably the winner in terms of flavor and everything going on. You get the regular bun underneath with the cream cheese glaze, then the crunch from the shortcake crumbles filled by those pops of fresh strawberries. Just a great bite and, honestly, not overly sweet compared to the others. Overall, nice and friendly staff, great vibe, music was on point and creative cinnamon rolls. Definitely get the Missy, pass on the Weaxy and, if you love cinnamon toast crunch, get the X.

Plaza felt a little questionable, but once you step inside, the place was cute sending chill vibes. There is some seating if you want to enjoy your drinks and treats. I am a HUGE fan of both mochi and mango sticky rice, so this combo hit the spot! The ube mochi is incredibly delicate, wrapping around the fresh mango and sticky rice. Not overly sweet, which I appreciate and the flavors work really well together. Even better when you top it with the coconut cream. Got 2 for $25 and each one was the size of the mango. Mochi with mango and sticky rice was a definite 5/5! Try it for yourself- so so good! Come early so they don't sell out.

And it wasn't even good :( The best thing here tho is there mango sticky rice mochi. Those are really good and addicting. Sad that mango season is over. But I'll come back when that's in stock. But as for drinks, I would skip.

The prices are not commensurate to the type of strip mall and overall valley location that the spot is in. Also, the churros took 10 minutes yet somehow tasted stale and lacking cinnamon. This place might be for those that like to make their life hard...those that expect a treat to have drawbacks...those who enjoy paying more for less. Admittedly, good churros in the valley are hard to come by. Churro Man sucks, and Junior's Churros switched over to catering because they were the best on the streets. I see Churros.. and I buy one or a few! I'm usually getting Churros from a stand at a festival.. but when I saw the store, I had to go inside : ) Service was a little slow, not many people were waiting. Maybe they make items to order. My items were hot. Location is at a strip mall, lots of parking. I got the Cinnamon Sugar Churro with sauces to go. I would have wanted to stay, have a coffee and play a game or two, but I had to get home so I placed my order to go. The place looked so fun, a place to hang out for all different ages. I saw vintage toys and items for sale; the place looked like a wonderful place for a collector to have a great time adding to his or her collection. The place has cool vibes. Next time I'm in town, I plane to enjoy my Churros inside. Cheers!~

I stopped by Sunday around 1 to pick up some pastries on my way to a friend's house. It's located in a plaza with a small parking lot. First thing you notice when you step in is that they have a lot of cakes on display. There's no seating either, it's strictly a grab and go place. Both times I came, someone was picking up a cake ahead of me, so that's definitely what to get here. I asked the cashier, and she said that you can either call or came in person to place a cake order. You can also come by and pick up one of their ready made cakes. Will keep this place in mind for the future. I picked up a number of pastries and tried some of them at my friend's place. You can either order with the staff or order through the kiosk on the right side. You have an option to type on the text box if you need to change the milk to oat milk, for example. I always ask for just in case they do have oat milk so if you have any special requests, depending on how busy it is, might be better to talk to someone to order!!! The Tiger Tea was really delicious and was a good amount of sweet. The Mermaid drink was a fav from my group. I really liked the Milo and the Ube Milk teas. Don't expect the warm, smiley Filipino hospitality right away--just head straight to the counter and place your order on the iPad. As for the halo-halo, it's definitely not your traditional version. It wasn't bad by any means, but it's quite different from the halo-halo I grew up with and the ones I enjoy whenever I visit Manila. If you're looking for a modern take on the classic dessert, you may appreciate it more than I did. Prices are pretty standard for Los Angeles, and they accept Apple Pay, which is always a plus.
