This place is pretty damn great! I considered giving it 3.5 stars for its location, but I decided that wouldn't be fair. I would rate their ceviche 5/5, better than Limon! I had the pescado ceviche and the acidity was just right! The skewered shrimp 5/5 (especially combined w their yellow sauce), beef hearts 4/5, chicken skewers 4/5 & lomo saltado 4/5 (because I prefer mine w a crunchy non marinated onion). I usually love Peruvian food, so I was looking forward to trying this place. I normally get Peruvian food at restaurants and food trucks in the City and on the Peninsula. Unfortunately, I was pretty disappointed with what I tried from here. First of all, everything could have used a bit more seasoning. Bland...with the exception of the strong taste of vinegar and tomato sauce--think lots of vinegar mixed with water downed ketchup. This is not what I normally taste when eating Peruvian food...not at all. The Lomo Saltado had zero flavor aside from the ketchup-water-vinegar taste. Super vinegary. The meat tasted unidentifiable--supposedly steak. I ended up eating just the fries and onions. The fries were super soggy, but I like soggy fries. It tasted nothing like the Lomo Saltado I've had from anywhere and everywhere. Maybe some people like super vinegary Lomo Saltado, but it's not for me. The skewered chicken and tritip...same vinegar-ketchup-water taste. Never again. Under that sauce the meat is all thin and dry. Nope. I got their Pesto Pasta. Needs seasoning. Noodles seemed dry. The sauce is a flavor that is odd, and more of a waxy flavored thing like a weirdly flavored candle. I hope they can work on their flavors and do well, but I don't think I'll be ordering from here again. I ended up eating potatoes, onions, and two bites of pasta. read more

Food was 10/10 amazing. The Lomo Saltado did not make it to the picture cause it was devoured on arrival. It was bright, with a tomato forward flavorful sauce! Best Lomo Saltado I have ever tasted to be sure. 10/10 would order again. The Fish Ceviche was perfectly acidic and well seasoned. It did not come with fried plantain chips or taro chips but they did have potato chips which worked well with the flavor of the fish. 10/10 would order again. This ceviche even rivals some of my favorite Peruvian restaurants in San Francisco! The service was top notch, and while working with a limited menu they definitely are putting out some great food! Unfortunately I have to give you 2 stars. the first time I had your food was in person, This time i ordered from doordash and let me tell you.. i was very disappointed! The rice had no salt, garlic or any flavor to be honest, other than a soapy taste. The lomo saltado was drained! Like not a drop of juice, how is that possible?!?!?! Now, i did order through doordash so maybe it sat way too long before it was delivered? Pan con chicharrón was very soggy( maybe that's were the lomo juice went) . I hope you understand this is not me trying to bash you if anything I want you guys to succeed so i don't have to drive for an hour for some good food. I was excited that this area finally opened up a new eating spot. Even more excited, it was Peruvian. Walked up and was there for 5 minutes trying to figure out how to order two specific items. I finally approached the counter, and a kid had been sitting there the whole entire time. Kind kid too my order, and I specifically asked him to have my fries really, really crispy, and he just looked at me and said Okay. And I repeated it to make sure he got it. STEAK FRIES $12 + $2 CHEESE LOMO SALTADO $17 Finally got my food home, and this is what I encountered. *Not a crispy fry in sight. *The meat on the steak fries was tough, like beef jerky. *The lomo saltado meat was tough and lacked the umami taste generally found in the juices *Potatoes were not fried to a crisp but looked like they were sautéed in the stir fry. *The $2 cheese and sauce was about the only enjoyable thing. I had revamp the lomo saltado with flavor and fry the potatoes. Sad that my experience did not include an adult to greet customers to provide good customer service. I wish the owner the best and hope that he takes the feedback within Yelp to help him improve on what's lacking. read more

This place is a hidden gem. The food reminded me of flavors from my childhood plus new fusion flavors. It was so delicious! We ordered a ceviche which we devoured so fast we didn't stop to take a photo. The Anticucho tacos were amazing. I don't know how nobody thought about that before. Genius. The first ceviche I got had no canchita or choclo. ‍ The lomo saltado they gave was tasteless and tasted like carne con chile rojo, same thing with their anticuchos. I decided to post a review this time because the Anticuchos look like carne con chile rojo, it's tasteless in flavor. The ceviche's fish is not fresh, as you can see in the picture it's over cooked like if it were Regular ceviche without canchita or choclo. The one time that their ceviche was given con canchita and choclo, it smelled like if they just separated the fish from a Ceviche mixto. It had the smell of a Ceviche mixto that had been left out, re-refrigerated and then sold. I will not be ordering from them anymore. It's a hit and miss.. Not sure if this place was fully open yet, but I went to the Antioch Mall and to my surprise I saw a Peruvian Food place. This is a hidden gem. The owner was there and was very courteous and attentive. Gave us samples of the food and charged us fair price. The food was delicious and the price is right. Cant wait for them to officially open. The anticucho sandwich was the BOMB!! Highly recommend them if you are in the Antioch area or in the mall. The first time I ordered at this place it was fantastic. Today I ordered on door dash. They forgot half my order. Okay maybe it was a door dashers fault.
