    Mix Platter BBQ
    Steven H.

This was my first exposure to Pakistani cuisine, and I am now sold forever. I came for dinner on a Thursday evening with a group of 5 colleagues, including someone from Pakistan. They seated us right away and provided menus. The friendly server answered all of our questions and helped explain the menu. I ordered the chapli kabob which was delicious and came to the table still sizzling from the kitchen. I also tried someone's BBQ mixed platter which was moist and flavorful. I tried a lot of the other dishes at the table as well and enjoyed everything. The dining room is small but comfortable and the service is excellent. Our server was beyond helpful and accommodating. When it came time to check out, we had to divide the check 5 ways, and they handled it with no problem.

Came by for lunch. Ambiance was casual, service was pleasant and the food ranged from great to excellent. Genuinely surprised to find one of the best Indo-Pak restaurants in Milwaukee versus NYC, Chicago, Boston or Atlanta. Our highlights: Biryani (red meat opt), Bihari kebab, ginger soda they blend in house and the milk tea. Certainly a repeat type of establishment. This review is after my 4th visit so shame on me for not sharing earlier.

I got tired of looking at this place and not seeing any pictures so I thought that they needed a Steve stop by. This place has been a few different restaurants over the years and the last place was oddly a Mediterranean style restaurant. The menu has a lot of great options and I was torn between something curry or a Kabab but the Seekh Kabab won. My food was ready in 20 minutes and I was on my way with take out, C19 habit and the place was empty and I don't like eating in empty restaurants. when I opened up my food I was completely surprised that it was just 3 Kababs and a pathetic looking small salad Which was mostly lettuce. I believe that this is my first Kabab entree that didn't come with some sort of rice like every other Kabab order I have received in the past. The Seekh Kababs were on a bed of onions and green peppers and looked good. The Kababs were cooked perfect and not dry at all and tasty with spicy green sauce on them. I'm disappointed that for $14 all you get in the Seekh Kabab entree is Kababs and a pathetic cheap small salad.

This is the best Indian/Pakistani I've had in the greater Milwaukee area. Extremely friendly. Vegan options available.

Great selection of a few, expertly made dishes - most being vegetarian. Fun fact, the chicken dish usually runs out first. It's a lunch place and only open for a few hours each day, M-F. Pro tip - come at 11am to ensure you get your top meal choice. Sometimes I come through at 1:30pm (they close at 2pm) and there's really not much left. The portions are decent for lunch - two "mains" like I usually get daal and paneer plus basmati rice. That will run you $14 (without tip). The spice level is always very nice meaning there's heat but it doesn't overwhelm (at least I don't think it does; with the caveot being I love spicy food). People rave about the green sauce but I think the meal is always tasty without it. There's seating available if you want to dine in but everything is served in styrofoam and easily can be taken to go. I'm glad this place exists downtown and provides an excellent alternative to Third Ward dining options / meat-centric cuisine. The only potential issue you'll have is parking. Street parking in Milwaukee can be a pain especially in the summer but metered parking close by during the week isn't too hard to find. Let's just say don't let it deter you from giving this place a try.

As a first timer it took us a little bit to get used to the complex spicy taste and spicy smells. I tried a beef and chicken dish, and it was really nice. It was my first time trying this restaurant and the staff was friendly, space was clean and inviting and they offer a lunch buffet which is a great option to try many dishes if you're not familiar with Indian cuisine. The few things that didn't go as planned during this visit were my order (and co-workers orders) must not have come thru (we all used their direct website) because when I went to pick up the worker looked shocked I said I had 6 orders and clearly they rushed to make them, which was appreciated, but never explicitly stated that's what happened. Also, none of the orders came with plastic utensils. The one website change I'd recommend is fixing the lunch special photos which currently do not match at all.
