Maybe racism does run strong in this area. Maybe because I was finishing a long day of work. But regardless. She was one of the worse reps that this place should have hired. We've been bringing our dogs to Dr. Patel for years. The entire staff is caring, helpful and…read morewelcoming. Dr. Patel is also extremely caring and makes the pet's best interest his priority. I appreciate that Dr. Patel is very knowledgeable and stays on top of current treatment and medication innovations. I also appreciate that Dr. Patel is on the conservative side with treatment. If a specialist is needed, he will refrain from doing any testing that may overlap with the specialist -- that's a cost-saver. I've been to many specialists with our dogs: cardiology, neurology, surgery, oncology, dermatology, etc. and this office gets an "A+" with communication. They will send over the necessary medical records before the appointment, and they get the reports from the specialists. On more than one occasion, Dr. Patel has diagnosed illness in our dogs before there were even symptoms. One dog, Sadie, was diagnosed with hemangiosarcoma (HSA) when we brought her in for her first eval after adopting her. Dr. Patel was checking her and felt a lump in her abdomen that he didn't like. We did an xray, and then he referred me to another specialist who did more testing and gave us a diagnosis. The specialist was surprised to see a dog prior to having symptoms, as normally (with HSA) the spleen ruptures before the dog starts having symptoms of no appetite or lethargy. The dog rarely survives as it basically bleeds to death, internally, before you even knew there was a problem. Dr. Patel caught it. Another dog had a heart condition that caused him to have syncope. I thought it was a seizure. Turned out my dog's heart had an unusual beat that was causing the condition. Dr. Patel referred us to a wonderful Cardiologist and the condition was easily managed medicinally. We did have a similar situation as another reviewer did: we were on vacation, in the middle of nowhere, and when we did get a signal we found that Arrow had called multiple times. MULTIPLE. SO thankful that we finally got the messages -- they were just as concerned as we were. Dr. Patel had seen this dog since she was a puppy. It turned out that our senior dog was not doing well in boarding, so we drove non-stop from Bryce Canyon, Utah to Arrow to get her. It was just after hours and Dr. Patel kept the light on for us, talked to us, gave us time, answered our questions. In retrospect, we probably shouldn't have boarded her, given her age and the anxiety with being boarded -- ANYwhere. She didn't have health issues otherwise. She improved once we got her home. Make no mistake, Dr. Patel and his staff care very much for our doggies, and we have trusted no one else.

I called ahead because my dog was having nonstop seizures and I was worried. My dog is 15 years old…read moreso I knew this day was going to come since he's lived a very long life. The staff were very kind and considerate. The vet came out, took his temperature weighed him and did an assessment. The vet told me that based on his eyes that he could possibly be brain damaged since the seizures have been going on for a couple hours and maybe even all night. She did inform me that there was an option to run blood test and possibly give a medication, but there was no guarantee since there could be brain damage. She said the alternate would be to humanely lay him down to rest. I didn't want him in any pain so I opted to lay him down to rest. They obviously had to give me paperwork to fill out for my dog as well as my credit card information. I know some people may feel some type of way about that, but it is still a business at the end of the day. It cost a $590 to administer the three shots to put my dog down and cremate him. I opted to hold him while it happened. They had given him a sedative to stop seizures, and he was sleeping peacefully before they injected him. I was able to whisper in his ear while he went to doggy heaven and crossed over. The 590 included cremation with a paw print and his name on the box. They told me it would be about a two week turnaround. They definitely handled my situation with patience and kindness and always made it very clear that I could take as long as I wanted, but I wanted to move quickly because I did not want to deal with the pain for long. This is my last review that I'll be writing for San Dimas Animal Hospital because my last…read moreexperience with them was just so unfair, I can't fathom taking my other pet here. I had written a review a few months ago for the front staff authorizing charges to my account without my permission and since then, they've started going through the process of taking signatures for transactions, so I'm happy they used my review for better service. Again, Dr. Singh is amazing. Dr. Delgado kept insisting for the urinalysis to get any form of medication and the front staff really has to be more organized when it comes to discharging with medications. --- I am really sad how unfair it was that my pet's treatment got dismissed even when I had asked for some form of antibiotics. My pet, 20.5 years at the time, started urinating blood, so on Thursday, 2/12, I had brought him in hoping that he can get antibiotics for this UTI that he had. With symptoms of hematuria and consistent small amounts of urine, I hoped to get some form of antibiotics or medication to ease his discomfort. Unfortunately, since he wasn't able to hold in his urine, they weren't able to get enough for a urinalysis and they had sent him home and told me to contact them the next day if he's still urinating blood. My sister picked up my pet Thursday evening, so I feel like they were in a rush just to get out of there instead of ensuring that my sister went home with everything she was supposed to. Called them Friday morning and said he was still urinating blood, and they said to monitor him and if he's still urinating blood, to bring him Saturday for a urinalysis. I contacted them again Friday evening with photographs stating that he's still urinating blood and they said I can bring him in for a tech appointment Saturday morning. My brother brings in my pet Saturday (2/14) morning, and they comped the urinalysis which was nice. I had asked my brother if they sent him home with antibiotics but they said that they need the urinalysis results before prescribing anything and since they're closed on Sundays, they would contact me on Monday. I called them around 9AM on Monday (2/16), and they said that they got the urinalysis results but had to wait for the doctor to have time to talk about the results with me. By this time, my pet was not eating, drinking or walking. I know I should have taken him to the ER but given his age, I didn't want to stress him out and was hoping that he would be interested enough in food by the time they gave me the medication. The doctor ends up calling me around 2PM and stated that he did have some form of UTI (I knew this already..) and that he will be sent home with amoxicillin and that it would be available for pickup within the hour and that the gabapentin prescribed to him should help with the pain as well. I drive over to the hospital an hour later and the staff informs me that I will be picking up amoxicillin (antibiotics) and I inquire about the gabapentin (pain medication) that the doctor brought up during our phone call. The staff seemed confused and they then asked me "Oh, you didn't get it on Thursday?" Uh, no I didn't get it on Thursday. This is why I had inquired about it? I saw on my previous invoices that I had gotten charged for the Gabapentin on 2/12 and I'm really angered that my pet was in pain for 5 days. And even when I had my brother bring my pet in on that Saturday (2/14), that they couldn't just double check anything. I know it's partially my fault for not making sure, but I honestly thought that they had given my pet a gabapentin shot but to find out he was supposed to be sent home with the pain medication instead... it's just really flabbergasting. I gave my pet the gabapentin and hoped that it would help subside any pain my pet had so he can eat, but an hour passed.. then 2 hours passed.. and my pet unfortunately was declining.. He wasn't interested in eating his favorite treats (and the amoxicillin is supposed to be given with food), so I took him to ER and unfortunately, had to choose humane euthanasia due to the extent of how badly he declined. I'm so upset with how this was handled. I don't understand why my pet had to suffer his last few days of his life because he wasn't sent home with pain medication. I also don't understand why they couldn't just give me the amoxicillin even though it was a possibility that it may NOT have been a UTI but at least given it to me to make sure he didn't worsen. I know my previous review of the unauthorized CareCredit charges may have made me seem like a difficult client, but take it out on me, not on the care of my pet. I feel like he would still be here if I was just given the gabapentin on the correct day or the amoxicillin as a "just in case" prescription but he didn't get any despite me asking about the antibiotics and the last few days of his life was filled with discomfort and a veterinary hospital that kept dismissing my hopes for care for my pet.

We had even gotten him a flea collar to keep them away from him. We decided to look around into getting him neutered, but we never planned on keeping him as our own. We simply wanted him to be neutered as to not have him. We looked into this shelter as they said it would be around $70 for the operation and shots. We brought him in today and after his operation they told us that he was "too friendly" and the shelter had to keep him, or they gave us the choice of adopting him. They did not give us any other choice. They NEVER told us this would be the case beforehand. We brought him to prevent more stray cats from being born. The employees were also very rude in person and on the phone. One was on the phone with my mother, and my mother expressed her grievances with the operator, the operator responded with "its not our fault you got attached". What a way to speak to your community. This shelter should be ashamed. Only decided to keep the cat after they saw how friendly he was. He was only this friendly because we took the time to gain his trust. We never intended to adopt him or keep him as a pet. We simply wanted him to live a happy free life, but this shelter took that from him. We even built him a shelter to keep him safe for two weeks after the operation. Take your business to another shelter.

Taking Tucker to the groomer after that was a terrible experience for him. After a few months of grooming at Pawsh pets, by Tucker LOVES coming now! He is treated like a King. He comes home soooo happy and prances around for a couple of days. He is a bloodhound so his coat is very thick and difficult but he comes home and says nice and soft for two weeks! I cannot recommend this pet salon enough!
