I had used Pet Polishers three or four times before this most recent and unfortunate experience. My two small dogs seemed to have enjoyed the grooming from previous technicians, and the previous techs also loved my two adorable pups, a sweet chocolate chihuahua and a loving/happy brindle french bulldog. Unfortunately, yesterday the technician said she could not blow-dry my french bulldog (said he hated it), so that's why she returned him wet, didn't clean either of their ears, and did a terrible job altogether trimming both dogs' nails. She said she needed another technician's help. (Mind you, these are small, friendly, well behaved dogs.) I told her I was going to call the business and ask them to send someone else out to trim their nails because that is the main reason I have them come out. I called the business, got a recording, and left a friendly message about my concerns, and request that someone come back out or receive a refund. A VERY RUDE man, who I assume is Frank the owner, called me back questioning, debating, arguing, and talking over me. I offered him pictures of the dogs nails (that he never wanted to see), and continued to argue with me about what I said, or what the technician said, even though he wasn't even there. He said my french bulldog had behavioral issues (remind you he wasn't there), which is absolutely absurd, since everyone, including his previous technicians, all love my frenchie. Not to mention, the technicians put notes down in the dogs charts about their behavior, preferences, etc... and no one has ever had a problem with my dogs before. I told the rude man, rather than argue, debate, and him failing to resolve the problem, I will dispute the charge and never do business with him again. He said we weren't a good match and shouldn't do future business together, LOL!! I suppose Yelp crossed this rude man's mind, because he later texted me with a much more professional and apologetic tone offering to refund both their $7 nail trims, but still insisted "with the behavior of the dog and as short as she did get the nails..." Again, he wasn't there and never saw their nails. The technician is either lying, incompetent, or possibly both. Regardless, I don't want to do business with this company ever again. Bridge burned. I'm sure the $70 a month he's losing from my business isn't going to make or break him, but I will tell everyone I know that Pet Polishers provided poor service backed up by TERRIBLE customer service. I would rather pay more to have a pleasant experience, actually have my dogs groomed, and not have to deal with Frank again. You have been warned. read more

I've used pet polishers for about 2 years now... the only reason I kept them was because I didn't want to have my dog switch groomers since he was already aware to the routine with them and their van. Thru out the past 2 years they have been late almost every time and NEVER do they call to say they r running late either. I've been over charged twice and I guess price changes depending on who is ur groomer I guess ? And the last girl who showed up was soo rude! After waiting two weeks for my appointment I received a phone call 20 minutes after the appointment time, from an extremely rude employee, stating that they were cancelling my appointment and did not want to give me the opportunity to reschedule. I've used Pet Polishers for nearly 3 years now. They have groomed my 3 yorkies for the past 3 years....down to 1 pup now :( All of the groomers we've had have been fantastic. They know our dogs very well and the grooming time is really quick. Ryan groomed them for a while and lately I've been requesting Brea and she is incredible! I've used Per Polishers for several Months now for my mini schnauzer. She was always skittish with other Groomers we tried and always came back home scared and not herself. While she doesn't like getting groomed per se now, with PP, she loves her groomer Brea(Bria?) who loves Zoe and knows she's scared and will play with her before taking her into the van or will soothe her. Brea is so fantastic. She even checks in with me to see how I'm doing and how I've been. I trust her so much I now allow her to do some a la Carte items with me blind dog Sarah. I love that PP's Comes to My house and if need be I can go and check on my pups. Brea is fantastic and trust her. We have two big dogs who had never been formally groomed before. They are both nightmares to bathe and they hate having their nails cut and fight it every step of the way. Ryan with Pet Polishers showed up right on time, took the time to make the dogs feel comfortable, and did a GREAT job. They smell good, their coats are shiny, ears are cleaned, and nails are trimmed. So let me start with the positives. Up until the last time we used Pet Polishers we were extremely happy with the service. Always easy to book an appointment with, always punctual, and our dogs Ripley and Anabelle always looked amazing afterward. Pampered and pretty I would say. We had probably used them about four or five times without any issues. The last time we booked them everything was going well until the young man brought our pit mix to the front door in his arms. I was terrified, truth be told I thought she had bitten him. Was relieved to find out that wasn't the case but was worried as to what went wrong. Rather than taking each pup into the van one at a time they have always been insistent on taking them together, so they wouldn't be so stressed out. Apparently while one dog was being harnessed on the table the second was fighting to jump off. Needless to say, she won. Still not certain what happened but initially she could put pressure on her hind legs at all. Took her to the vet to be examined and luckily enough she is fine took her a good day to get back to being her. No permanent damage. Accidents happen and the poor young man felt terrible. He promptly called his home office and made them aware of the situation and they offered him advice on how to avoid this sort of situation in the future. My problem and worst experience about this whole ordeal was the lack of follow up. If one of my employees dropped one of my clients dogs on the floor of their mobile grooming van I would be following up with this client as many times as possible to make certain their beloved pet was okay. I spoke with the folks at the home office twice, once right after the accident and the second time after we were able to book our pup with the vet to have a thorough examination. I haven't heard SQUAT since. Nothing, they never bothered to lets us know if we needed to pay for the our dog that was able to get groomed, they never bothered to follow up on Ripley, and they never even bothered to offer to help pick up the tab on her vet visit or treatment. When the young man left that afternoon that was the last time I have heard from anyone. Still have not heard anything back. I have been unwilling to call based on two reasons. 1. I am afraid I will lose it on the poor person on the phone and 2. I feel since they are the ones that could have possibly caused serious injury to our pet it should be THEIR RESPONSIBILITY to check in to see how she is doing, but hey what do I know. In my book, that is a pretty crappy thing to do when you are in care of someone's pet. I really doubt I will hear anything back from anyone, but I really thought I should let people know. This isn't how you treat your clients with this sort of issue. read more

I've used Pet Polishers several times now. Ryan does a wonderful job and his calm and easygoing demeanor helps soothe our scared little rescue dog. He didn't even get upset when our dog peed on him. That says a lot. I also like that they don't do the silly frills, like bows and puppy perfume. Their prices are great. Plus it is much less stressful on my dog for them to pull into the driveway and have the grooming done in less than an hour. It is now 2017 and Ryan has been here multiple times to groom Wookie who really doesn't like to be messed with. Ryan takes it in stride and knows how to reduce the stress of grooming. He is also great about using the medicated shampoo that Wookie needs. There has never been any cuts or injuries. I really trust him. read more

What a great experience! (that's what my dog said!) My schnauzer would rather go to the vet than the groomer - who knows...the kid can't appreciate a spa day. Until now. After meeting his 'stylist' he trotted right into the van (really? my kid? shocking!). Thirty minutes later he strutted back into the house to show off! I had a horrible experience with Pet Polishers. I have a 13 year old maltese who had been going to Petsmart his entire life for grooming and never had any problems. The only reason to try out a mobile grooming service was because we have a new baby and don't have time to do the drop-off/pick-ups at Petsmart. Kelsey answered the phone and scheduled the appointment, she also said she would be the groomer. I knew she was listed as the receptionist on Pet Polisher's website but thought I would give her a chance. It was a terrible idea. She was half an hour late and did not notify me, I had to call to check and leave a voicemail, then she eventually called back to confirm she was still coming. After she took my dog she said it would take an hour but ended up taking 2+ hours - she did mention she found some matted hair so he needed a shorter haircut, I was fine with that. But after she was all done and brought him out, I noticed there was blood on his face. Kelsey apologized and said she had cut his tongue - it looked like a scissor cut and was still bleeding. I also noticed there was blood on his nose, looked like one side was clipped. I understand accidents can happen, but in this case it seemed she had minimal training or experience, and did not treat my dog with care. I was furious, I simply asked her how much I owed her so I could be done with this, I just wanted check my dog to see if he needed to go to the vet for treatment. Kelsey said I owed what she originally quoted me, I couldn't believe it, I asked her if she thought I should pay her when she wounded him in so many places, and is still bleeding? She started saying that my dog was not behaving well and she had a hard time dealing with him - I've never heard that from Petsmart groomers before. They sounded like excuses; however, I didn't want to keep arguing so I started walking towards the house to get her the payment so we could be done, but then she said she was just going to leave and pretty much ran off. At least she recognized the distress she had caused, although getting free service doesn't make me feel any better about putting my dog through this. Please beware of this company and choose your groomer wisely. read more

After having several mishaps with the big box grooming salons I decided my poor old Golden Retriever just couldn't be put through the pains (hers not mine) and gave up having her looking decent. She would come home with nicks on her tummy which I was never told about and the grooming job looked like someone just hacked her hair off with dull scissors....A costly mess!! While visiting with a good friend of mine the dog story came up and she immediately said they use a mobile pet service for her two dogs.... What? Someone comes to my house? Tell me more!! So the next day I gave Pet Polishers a call and requested Ryan since he is the groomer my friend uses. My appointment was on Saturday 3/14/2015 late in the afternoon. I also have a mixed mutt that is part Dauchound part Dumber than ever so she was kind of wimpy when Ryan said it would be best to put both dogs together in the mobile van. Ryan had to pick up both dogs to get them inside the van but he managed just fine. A few hours later Ryan was at the door with my girls and let me tell you that my Golden Retriever has never looked so good!!! I had her shaggy hair clipped down short and Ryan did such an amazing job with blending her hair so nicely that there are no demarcation lines at all! Both dogs were bathed and had their nails trimmed which again Ryan did a fantastic job. The price to have a service come to your own place is very reasonable and I will always use Pet Polishers from now on! I was so pleased with how my girls looked that I gave Ryan a pretty decent tip....not sure if a tip is even included in the price but that didn't even matter to me. What mattered was the fantastic outcome Ryan gave us and our girls!!! I highly recommend Pet Polishers!!! read more

Am thrilled with Pet Polishers and Ryan in particular. He has an excellent understanding of how to manage my dog, a somewhat nervous Golden Retriever. He definitely did not want a haircut. He got into the grooming van only with Ryan's help. The proof of the pudding however is in the eating and no i am not mixing my metaphors. I have no idea exactly what the two of them talked about inside the grooming van but as reluctant as my Goldie was to get inside, he exited with the brag and swagger of a victorious gladiator! Our experience for about 2 years with Pet Polishers was decent. They were late every once in a while or forgot our address when we moved to our new home, but once they showed up, the service was solid, grooming was done well, so we continued to use them. During a grooming two sessions ago, the groomer came to our door after the grooming to let us know our dog has "fallen" from the table and had cut the edge of her eye-lid. We did not over-react, accidents do happen. We did decide to call the owner of Pet Polishers just to let him know what happened. Very cordial conversation with the owner. He apologized and offered to make our next grooming complimentary to encourage us to continue using them. We also agreed that at that point our dog did not appear to need vet care, but if things changed over the next 24 hours I would let him know. I thought the owner handled the call well. and we moved on from the incident. After the next grooming about 6 weeks later, we reminded the technician that the owner had committed to the grooming being complimentary, technician had no knowledge of that conversation but said they would call and figure out it. When the grooming was done, we tipped the technician like we normally would even though the service was free, and there appeared to be no issues. We just received a call from Pet Polisher indicating that they would NO LONGER be providing services to us in the future due to the "discrepancy" payment. Owner now no longer remembers the 15 minute phone call we had two months ago, and he no longer remembers his OFFER to a complimentary grooming if we would give them another chance. Worst of all, the owner did not even have the courtesy to call me himself, he has his office manager call me to relay the news. Very unprofessional and a complete 180 on his prior stance. I never complained once about the accident, was very cordial, and we came up with a solution I thought was very reasonable, thus we gave them another chance and fully intended of remaining a long term client. The owner completed changed his tune and had someone else do his dirty work. I would never recommend this groomer and suggest anyone reading this review take their business elsewhere like we will. read more
