I have a Pit Bull that has a TON of allergies. I had her tested and received 11 pages of things she was allergic to. When I came in with my daunting list and asked Molly for assistance she went WAY ABOVE AND BEYOND anything I could have imagined. She took the 11 pages and consolidated it to 3 laminated pages, with specific categories. I wish the company that performed the test would have been that precise. This is a great little pet store in the North Valleys. It's closer to my house than bigger chain stores, so in a pinch, a few things can be found. I've gone here twice, and both were to pick up specific things. The first was for nail clippers and the second was for disc and ball toys to throw for my collie. It was super easy to find the items in the store and associates were eager to help. The lady who helped me knew the store layout well and was able to point me in the right direction of the toys I was looking for. I haven't used the dog washes in the back, but just might have to so I can review those as well! read more

I like the bath stations here as they are separate rooms so your dog doesn't have to stare/bark at patrons and other dogs getting bathed around you like at the one off Robb. The tubs are nice and deep too, so somewhat less splashing. read more

We recently got a new puppy and needed some supplies. My boyfriend dislikes Petsmart with a passion so he told me to go to this local store. The store was very clean, and I was greeted upon walking in. There were two staff present when I walked in and I asked for help picking out couple of things. The staff that mainly stayed in cashier area was very friendly and pleasant. She gave me suggestions on items I was looking for and also gave insights on her preference and why--which I liked a lot. One thing I didn't like--and it's the reason for one less star--is when I was at the back of store looking for toys, I overheard one of the staff talking about another person having affair and all other unpleasant things. She wasn't trying to be loud, but she wasn't trying to keep it down either. Overall, if I was just rating this place based on my experience with the person at the front then it is an awesome place to shop for pet supplies. read more

This is a great little pet supply store. Customer service is always friendly and helpful. There is the nicest woman that is there every third Sunday that trims nails. My pug hates having her nails trimmed but loves this lady. Nice selection of food, treats and pet supplies. read more

Took my dog in to use the self dog wash. What a mistake!The tub struggles to drain as the hose is wrapped up around the floor. The new shampoo system never really allows for the hair get a good lather, so I had to buy shampoo. They had NO hot water leading to my poor dog having to take a cold bath. If I wanted her to freeze I could've washed her in the front yard. The dryer has about as much, if not less, power then a human hair dryer. I'm sure none of this would matter if I didn't have a giant breed dog with a thick coat. They did comp me the 10 dollar bath, but that doesn't make up for a miserable experience for my poor dog. We won't be utilizing the Pet Station wash again. read more

I have had amazing experiences as ALL other pet station locations except this one I walked in and there was only one person working there We walked over to look at a rat to buy and there where about 20+ rats all shoved in maybe a 15-20 gallon tank. There were multiple sick ones, large ones crushing babies, and the one we ended up buying died maybe 3 days later with pneumonia I am sad to say this store is awful compared to the others, I do hope it turns around read more

I was beyond excited to hear of the new pet store that opened up in the North valleys. Knowing that I no longer had to drive over ten miles just to get dog food and crickets for my lizard was enough to jump for joy. I took my second visit into their store tonight and I am very impressed. I love the small business feel of the store- something you don't get from the competitors in the Reno area. They have a great selection of high quality dog foods. The staff was friendly, knowledgable, and made great suggestions. I found everything I needed there and was in and out in no more than five minutes. I will no longer be visiting the competitors in town. Pet Station, you have my business! read more

When I walked into this store there was only one employee in the whole store who was catching fish for a customer and ringing them up while I was also waiting for fish. Another employee walked into the store and passed me three times. I made eye contact with her and was about to ask for help but she started to BS with another customer which went on for almost ten minutes because the other employee got stuck ringing up customers. Finally that same employee came to help me after the line cleared. Poor thing was doing all of the work by her self while the other one was talking about snow drifts and living in Truckee. read more

Just got my first dog in August. Went in knowing I needed help with some food. Robert and Travis gave me the whole run down on the benefits of feeding raw. The change in my dogs stool and coat are incredible. Such an intelligent and personable staff everyone there really knows there stuff. Highly recommend to anyone in the Reno-Stead area! read more

I am sure that this place is great when you own a dog. Everytime I go in however they never seem to have any crickets. I own several geckos, lizards and salamanders and it would be nice to have a pet store that has crickets closer to the north valleys. But, they do have a great selection for dogs and cats. Always are very friendly and helpful and great deals. read more

This shop is outstanding! 5/5 stars 100% of the time! The staff is WONDERFUL! They are so knowledgeable and can answer almost any question or concern you have! Their stock is a little smaller than the rest of the chain pet stores in Reno, but their price and quality makes up for the lack in quantity. They sell live rodents and have a small selection of great fish, snakes, and lizards! The only downfall is it is a pretty long drive from the heart of Reno, but it is well worth it! I bought 2 XL rats from them and they are thriving with no health issues reported from my veterinarian! read more
