Really!? A pet store that treats the few live animals they have to care for terribly. It's disturbing coming in to this store viewing the conditions their animals are living in. It's appalling and a sad sight to see and supporting this business is wrong because they've shown to the world they could not care less about their animals quality of life, especially their poor ratties. They live in a tiny tank with wood shavings, which if one of your store owners/management knew anything about rat care you'd know wood shavings are terrible for their respiratory health and sharp on their delicate skin and feet... and WOW having the babies rolling around in it!? Shame on you. There was no hiding spot for them either the mother must be constantly anxious having her babies exposed in her habitat with people staring in and tapping the glass. Seriously to the owners of this store, what is wrong with you? You dont deserve to own a pet store because your treatment of these intelligent and loving animals is sick. You can read this and roll your eyes, but at least someone out in the world cares for the animals who have no voice. It's so sad to live their lives out like that in that small toxic space. The employees were friendly, but they were standing around chatting the entire time I was there. How about get these animals a real cage and HOME and have the workers spend the what.. like 20 minutes of their day it would take to clean their living space. I'm appalled. I took my dog in there for the first time today to get a bath and let me tell you how EASY they made it. They provide you a smock, towels, grooming tools, multiple different types of shampoos, even a hypo-allergenic one, conditioner and a blow dryer. The system makes it easy to rinse, shampoo, condition and dry. Their soap comes out of the hose bib well diluted so you're not overly shampooing you're dog which is so important! Their staff is extremely friendly & pretty helpful as well. If you ever need to find somewhere to give your dog a bath, GO HERE! read more

Great price for their pet wash, but kind of annoying to get mixed information on how late you can bring your pet in for the self-wash. Best self serve dog wash!!! I went today with my 3 dogs and they're were super nice! I only wanted to bathe 2 of them and they didn't have a problem with my bringing in my 3rd dog just to be with us! The tubs very clean and set up nicely and the water pressure is great & the hot warm stayed hot the whole time which are some important factors when I'm washing my dogs! I took forever and never once felt rushed even though it was close to closing time! I then decided to wash out 3rd dog and went to go pay to do so and they didn't charge me! I can not even express to you how amazing the staff is here bill and mikayla (I don't know how to spell it) are by far the most knowledgeable about these animals and are always willing to help and talk to you about the animals they have. I never walk in without a cheerful hello asking how I am and how my bearded dragon is as well. I come in all the time to pet the bunnies as I want one so bad but am unable to at the moment. They talk with me about them and their personality which you never find people who love the animals that they work with well enough to tell me about them. Amazing staff and an amazingly clean store. I have never seen one cage dirty. They take pride in there animals and want them to go to a suitable home. they always tell customers exactly what goes into owning the specific animal with no sugar coating so your animal is happy and healthy with its new owner. This place is awesome. We loaded our large doggie up into the dog wash station with no problem. The ramp was super helpful. They have everything you need available for use and in quick reach. This is, by far, the best pet store/supply store I have ever been to in my life. I walked in and I was immediately greeted and asked about my fur babies. I explained that my dog is extremely hyper and after an incident between him and my landlord, I knew I needed to explore other options in addition to training for my dog to calm down around people. Jen explained all of the supplements to me and the pros and cons to each one, while also explaining what she had tried with her dog! Knowing that those selling the items use the products as well makes me feel much safer about giving them to my own dog. In addition to the knowledge and kindness shared by those who helped me (Mikaela, Jen, and Ashkon), they also allowed me to pet the bunnies in the store while we had a great conversation about pets! I grew up with a rabbit but do not have the time to give a pet bunny if I was to have one now, but being able to interact with them was a special experience that made Pet Station unique. Normally, I have been denied interactions with the pets at other pet stores, which makes me worried about their socialization and their stress levels. For the first time ever I was treated horribly.... I wasn't greeted when I went in and when I was finally acknowledged I asked if they had any Instinct raw meat. I mentioned it was a brick or also known as the chub. The guy ( I believe his name was Joe but I could be wrong? Bald, tall, guy) looked at me weird and insisted that I was wrong. I told him that I had purchased it here before and asked if he knew if maybe they would be receiving a shipment soon. He said "Uhh haha yeah we don't sell that. I know that for a fact. Maybe you mean this that's in a box(it was a different brand of food he was offering). It's better than what you feed your dog anyway." I was shocked at how he approached that. I responded with "Oh that's weird because like I said I've purchased it here before. Even about a month ago." He responded with "Yeah haha. Not here. We don't carry that I'm positive. Once again I think you're mistaking it for this better quality food brand." Granted everyone is entitled to their own opinion but you're a worker who is supposed to be helping me. Maybe suggesting next time or approaching it differently would be nice. I was upset that he would even insult the food I feed my dog. Because personally I think the food I feed him is amazing. I was in the area and saw the sign "Pet Station" was with a friend leaving Blaze Pizza and asked her what is that place about? We drove over, went inside and it was very quiet in the store as we were the only ones in besides 2 very ambitious employees. We just wanted to check out see what they had. If you're looking for quality pet food this would be a great place as they explained to us they do price matching! Beautiful store, great service from the employees giving us information. They have high quality food and toys for pets. Soon to arrive will be small pets i.e. Ferrets, rabbits, and other small pets. If you live in the South Meadows area you should check them out. So it's basically a pet store but it offers dog baths in the back area. For 15 dollars. For 5 visits for 50 . Making it only 10 each. Brought my huge dog in , got him a bath. They provide shampoo, conditioner, towels, aprons, blow dryer . The tub has a ramp, for seniors and dogs with trouble getting in. So I don't have to lift him in . Also anything I like they have available in store that I can buy. Totally worth the money , I won't have the fur all over my tub at home or wet dog in my house. Bill went above and beyond my expectations for service today. As I pulled into our parking space, my 6month old baby fell asleep. I'd usually wait in the parking lot until she woke up, but it was 90 degrees out and I didn't feel like running the air conditioner for an hour was a great idea. I visit this store every week and very often I'm greeted to a "be back in 5 min" sign. Usually waiting for 10 to even 25 minutes at a time. I get adult mice for a a ball python and on a few occasions, mice have cuts/scabs/bleeding/and a couple with legs missing. Assuming from other mice in the cage. I liked this store originally. Up to this point all staff has been great, helpful. Prices can't be beat around town. However recently I visited to pick up two bags of dog food. Before I could even lay a hand on one bag - a man appeared out of nowhere and stood exceeding close to me. He asked if I needed help finding something and I said no although it was obviously clear I had found what I came for. I went for the other bag of dog food that I always buy and once I had it in my hand the same guy snatched it from me. Then he said, need help with that? - after he had already snatched it from me. I said "no" as he walked away and he laughed. He was cocky and rude at the counter until perhaps he realized he had offended me only because I was silent. But this was more than being offended. I'm a strong capable person and it's pretty apparent when meeting me - I frequent the store 1-2 times per month - and I think my choice of carrying a medium sized, easily handled bag of dog food shouldn't be suddenly decided for me by some rude employee. Why he was acting so outrageous - I have no idea. He tried apologizing but in no way was it sincere. He proceeded to slap and tap his hands on the counter and kept trying to say he "didn't mean to offend anybody". I said nothing because honestly I didn't want to make a scene.He was acting and behaving unprofessional, arrogant and rude. I don't plan on ever going back to Pet Station because I hope to never run into this guy again in my life. I usually go to the Pyramid location and I've never had any problems, I LOVE that store and so do my dogs. I have no issues with anything regarding the McCarran store except one of their employees. It was a really clean, well managed store but I won't be back because I was so beyond creeped out. The employee (younger man with dark hair, I think it was Pete or Peter) was waaaay too forward with his flirting. I work retail, I know that throwing a compliment to a more difficult customer is something that we all do to try and make the environment more friendly. THAT DOESNT MEAN YOU SHOULD FOLLOW A GIRL AROUND THE STORE AND TAKE HER ITEMS FROM HER WITHOUT ASKING. OR WALK HER TO HER CAR after I said I was done needing assistance. Honestly, the help is nice but at least be less assertive about it. I can't imagine how many girls have had this guy walk them to their car (which is borderline uncomfortable) because they felt pressured to say yes. read more
