Been here twice. The first time the store was dirty and the bags of food had bugs on them. The second time I had an issue with a purchase to which they showed absolutely TERRIBLE customer service and the issue remained unresolved. Will not be back. I purchased a kitten from here and the girl told me that he didn't have fleas. I made she to ask that because we had no pets in our home. This was our first one. I have 5 children in my home as well so I made sure to get clarification that the kitten didn't have any fleas. When I went back to the store and told them they lied , that the cat had fleas, they gave me 20% off flea pills. They didn't even apologize . I spent so much money and had to spend 62.38 again . If you come here, expect to be lied to. I'm trying to post videos of the fleas so look for another post. read more

This location is the worst I've been to in the Charlotte area. Most dog foods are typically out of stock or incorrectly labeled. I was told by the manager that the price on the shelf doesn't reflect the actual price of the item... very strange. I love this franchise due to the holistic and healthy food and treats they offer but this location in particular, I will not be returning to. read more

I really enjoy shopping at this location in Belmont. I usually go into the store even when I do an online order because I never know what kind of sale item I will find for my fur babies. Spent $35 on a harness for my dog. The second time I used it the harness tore and broke. My dog almost ran out into a busy street but luckily someone helped me. I contacted the store and they would not refund or replace it. It was just a little over 30 days. They told me to contact corporate who replied with an answer that had nothing to do with my issue. I sent them a picture of the harness and they have never gotten back to me. Before this i shopped there all the time. Now i just make the longer drive to Pet Smart. read more

The few times that I have been in this store, I've smelled weed and one of the kids was high and leaning up against the window half asleep. So I went in for cat food with my coupon that I thought read $10 off $60. I pretty much cleared the already bare shelf with about 40 cans figuring I would need to add more because they were on a deal as well. I ask the cashier how many more cans I would need to add to my order to make the coupon work, she was zero help so I just walked over and grabbed more, still not enough for the coupon so I grabbed more, then the coupon wouldn't work. After several attempts she finally asked for help to another associate that was just hanging out out with another one in a small room playing with a kitten. I frequent shop here so I know the other was a manager. Again after several attempts she came over to try. The coupon actually read $10 off $65 but the subtotal. We were already there with now the 70 cans of food I had brought up to the register. I ended up walking out with no cat food. I work in retail. You just don't give up helping someone with an order. Been getting my dog cut here for months and been having issues with them plucking his ears. The first time I'll let her know they said they put it in this file The second time I requested them not to pluck his ears only clean it out they did what I asked and gave him his haircut satisfied this last time gave instructions as to how I wanted this haircut basic level four no cutting of his top knot just scissory and blent it out but shave everywhere else around his face off and clean it up The groomer acknowledged that they understood the haircut said it would be simple and easy and that my dog would be ready in 2 and 1/2 hours they call and said he was ready I went and picked them up the very ​ thing before she even gave me him that she said was I shaved his top knot down some let me know next time and I'll just scissor it well I had already told her to scissor it in the first place so there's that and when I got my dog back I went and paid . I noticed he was shaking his head still and while I paid I asked the cashier if his ears was plucked and she didn't know so I went back to the groomer and ask was his ears plucked she said well some came out when I was cleaning it out and out of the kindness of my heart I plucked some and I explain to her I asked you not to pluck his ears y'all said y'all put it on his file he's young according to his vet his ears does not need to be plugged unless he has ear infections and show issues with it then you begin to pluck but I've already asked you all before this makes the third time of me asking you not to pluck my dog's ears and you've done it again and she said well moving forward we won't pluck his ears and I'll put it make sure it's on his file and I said okay thank you very much and I left. I never raise my voice or was disrespectful to her. 20 minutes later get a call from the store manager and was banned from the store because I voice my opinion about the way my dog looks or his haircut or something that was service that I paid for then I should be able to voice my opinion read more

Amazing selection of quality dog food...with great prices. I was surprised how large the store was because it looks so small from the outside (Tardis effect I guess). Found a great quality dog harness for $17.....similar one was around $28 at another store. I had no idea they had a self-grooming area. Overall huge plus for the Belmont area. read more

i had a very bad experience with the groomer today. we made a nail appointment and we get there and there's a dog inside the grooming growling and barking at my dog. so my girlfriend walks away with her and the groomer told me to go wait in the community room. we walk over and it looked like it was a storage closet with all this stuff in it so i wait outside and she walks over and try's to make her go in. so she realized my dog was stressed out and she said we could go outside to do them. which was nice but very chaotic when first arriving and not set up. read more
