I have been a loyal customer here for years--not only purchasing food, litter, and treats for my pets, but also using your grooming services for my dog. Until today, I have never had any issues. When I arrived to drop off my dog, River, for his grooming appointment, I was told I needed to provide updated rabies vaccination records, which I would have to obtain from my vet. Unfortunately, the vet's office was closed. My groomer, Kayla, explained that she was legally unable to groom him without that information, which I completely understand. I went back to my car, searched my phone for any record, and returned to let them know I did not have it. I also explained that I had not been informed beforehand that his updated rabies information was missing from your records. At that point, another staff member chimed in from the back and very rudely stated that this information had been included in a text. The way she spoke was unprofessional and dismissive. If important information like rabies records is required, it should be clearly communicated in a separate, direct message--not hidden at the bottom of a general confirmation text. Instead of showing understanding or kindness, this employee was disrespectful and showed no sense of customer service. The entire encounter was unpleasant, and I left feeling frustrated. When I spoke with the manager, all I was told was that she would "speak to the employee." That is not enough to address the situation. This experience has completely changed my view of your company, and I will no longer be bringing my business here. It's disappointing to see a place I trusted for years show such a lack of professionalism, courtesy, and basic customer care. I will never return here to any location and I advise nobody else does either. My 3 year old Yorkie grandbabies went to the Pineville Mathews location for a grooming treatment. She developed a dry dark patch underneath her eyes, a deep cut on left ear. I noticed she kept tugging at her ear and this is where i noticed her ears were dry and with rough patches on the inside. My guess is that this location groomer used dirty tools or had my grandbaby in an infested area. I've never experienced this type of breakout and i am never returning back to this Store. read more

always have a positive experience with this location! I've been a couple times and the workers are always very helpful asking if we need help finding something. I have a broken foot and am in a boot and they even asked if I needed help getting the dog food to the car! They seem to be well stocked, they've always had everything we are looking for. Low on staff . Dropped off my 14 year old senior Yorki ( who needs surgery) around 11:00 and couldn't reach them to see if she was ready. I went there and really my little girl had had NOTHING done but perhaps a bath. I walked around for 15-20 while she was 'groomed.' Nails were not done and shoddy, fast job grooming . The people are very nice, but should have not ever ever committed to putting a dog on a schedule if the dog could not have been done between 11-4:00? EXTREMELY disgusted that the one in the front office would NOT simply walk back to see how far along her grooming was going? She MADE it perfectly clear she wasn't going to do this AND I tried the groomer number over and over. NO ANSWER. NEVER AGAIN. read more

It was the first time I was in the store looking for a harness for my dog, and I thought the prices on the hanger were a complete mess. I grabbed two and it said one price, and when I went to pay, it was completely different. I spoke to the manager, but she wasn't friendly at all, and she couldn't resolve the hanger error. Unfortunately after having my two dogs groomed there for seven years, (never been anywhere else).... Ms. Katie was injured and Ebony began grooming them. She did an amazing job, however, due to a lack of communication, they left for the day... with my dogs in cages unattended, in an unlocked salon with the lights off. I reached out to the manager Robert the following day (they know me well as I spend over $250 a month there beyond grooming bills) and he was extremely unapologetic. In addition, today I was advised that they have blocked me from using the Fort Mill location, as I tried to make an appointment today and was willing to drive the seven miles to continue to shop local. I will be using Chewy from now on.... it's a real shame that they saw nothing wrong with leaving my pets unlocked and unattended in the dark. If I could give a less than one star, I would. read more

A little bit more local than the big box pet stores, I think. This shop has very well stocked shelves with a great variety of stuff for dogs, cats, fish, birds and "other small animals." I was impressed by seeing three half aisles of dog treats, which had a very nice selection of rawhides, not rawhides and all kids of other things to give your canine to chew on that will keep them occupied. Prices were pretty solid. Something I've not seen before? Bulk dog biscuits. Mix and match, fill the bag and pay by weight. Neat! Friendly faces working the register. read more

It sucks that this location is on my way to and from the gym because I will never go back. I walked in and the staff were nice in the aisles but there wasn't a soul at the cash register. My dog had an appointment for Sunday (the day the snow hit). The staff reached out to me Saturday late afternoon after they decided to close for Sunday, and rebooked my dog for the very next day (Monday)! I really appreciate that the manager of this store took the precautions for his staff and customers driving with their pups. They were so accommodating to still see my boy so timely. This was my first time here. I didn't know that they had a grooming service in the back. A friend of the family recommended this place so I went. I just got my 8 week old Maltese and wanted to get him groomed because he's white. The lady informed me that since this was his first time that he really wouldn't get "clipped" but that they would get him used to the sound of the clippers by pretending to go down his back. Also they would clean his face and trim the hair by his paws. Two hours later I was called to come back and pick up my pup. He was so fluffy and white. His face looked good. My only complaint was that the woman who groomed him(I won't say her name) put a light blue bow in his hair!!!! He's a boy. I was expecting a bow tie around his neck or a kerchief. They are the only place in Charlotte that carries Stella and Chewy's raw food and nutrasource/purevita kibble which out dogs have all eaten. We have spent thousands of dollars at this location since they opened. Great store, great prices. HOWEVER, when we inquired about a coupon for $5 off $30 dollar purchase, new manager Zack rudely informed us we needed the emailed coupon with 5 digit code, as the emails are based on shopping habits and they will no longer honor the discount at the register. He says "corporate " says they can't do that and shouldn't have been doing it all along. I googled pet supplies plus, and the coupon code is front and center for all to see on their website nationwide. If Zack had tried to be helpful instead of being Mr Manager robot, he would have known this and our $80 purchase would have been completed not left there as we walked out.
