They asked what kind of pup I had and I mentioned her birthday was this summer so they surprised me with several free samples. We can't wait to go back!

But…read morewhen I actually had a concern it kept getting dismissed by multiple vets at this saw clinic. She was having a lot of itching and hair loss. I was told that the hair loss is just normal for her breed and that's what's likely causing the issue. I was never even offered anything to treat the itching. After being told this for the 3rd time, and with my dog experiencing progressive hair loss and worsening itching, I finally took her somewhere else. After just one visit at another vet clinic, the vet went over treatment options and rightly guessed that my dog was having allergies based on where her hair loss was and where she was itching. She even discussed other causes if this treatment didn't work. Petco didn't even ask me this. Since starting a prescription allergy pill her itching has greatly decreased and her hair is growing back. Looks like it wasn't just her breed's genetics.

I take care my dog very well, dental clean every year,supplies support, flea medicine. I only need rabies vaccine every year. They tell me a cost about 50$ for vaccine plus I need to pay 99$ for the exams. What I need the exam for??? They said kinda policy when visit this vet, I won't let this vet rip me off like this. Gotta give some props up to Peticure...I admit I saw the TV ad like everyone else who wonders if…read morethis actually works. Our pup gets groomed every 8 weeks, but around week 6 those cute little nails turn into CLAWS. So I figured I'd try it...surprise it actually works. And quite well indeed! Yes you have to buy replacement filers eventually, but we've used it a few times and not had to replace yet...we have an 18-20 lb dog and was able to get away with the Peticure Petite which is like $30 instead of $40 if I remember correctly...bonus save. Our pup absolutely HATES when I would trim her nails so I never would (bad puppy cutting quick experience that scarred us all and that was 4 years ago, all around yikes!)...so we'd just suffer with the claw-monster the last few weeks before the grooming appt but thankfully no longer, she actually sits still and lets us Peticure her with no issues which is amazing. We intro'd her to it slowly and treated her each time, thankfully it was not an issue. Be careful to not leave it in one spot too long as I imagine it would burn though...kinda like those nail salon electric filers. If you are on the fence about trying it, it's recommended in our household at least for smaller pups, not sure how effective it'd be on massive Shepherd nails !! Buying experience was pretty painless and it arrived within 7 days. We ordered on www.peticure.com. Why wasn't this MY idea? Seriously!

The "elite" version I got is pretty much a low powered dremel-like device with a plastic "guard" over the rotary grinding wheel. The guard has holes of various sizes that correspond to the diameter of your pet's nail. You're supposed to set the right size and trim away. the guard is supposed to keep you from getting your pet's fur caught on the grinding wheel or accidentally grinding something other than a nail. That's a good idea. The problem with this product is that the power of the motor is too low. I have a 65 lb lab mix and her nails are thick and hard. In order to keep the tool from coming to a dead stop I have to be careful to barely touch the surface of the nail with it. Even then it can't handle her nails. After about a year of trying to work with this thing (thinking it would work better once I got used to using it) I've given up. It's too frustrating to use.

Pets Hotel Review: I…read morehad an extremely poor experience at this most recent stay. My dog was in the Pet Hotel from Thursday May 21 to Monday May 25. When I picked him up this morning he was COVERED in fecal matter. I was told when I went to get him that he relieved himself in his suite and then sat in it. So his paws would be a little stained. When I got him in the car I realized he was absolutely covered on his feet, behind his leg and up his hip. He looked awful. My dog has been boarded many times including this location and this has never occurred. He does not have accidents at home. This tells me that the staff is NOT properly relieving animals like they should be during their stay. Why was he even returned to be in this condition. Why didn't they clean him, or get him bathed. Why didn't they call me and tell me it happened and asked if they could bath him. Additionally he was a bundle of nerves. Again, for an experienced boarded dog he has never behaved this way. When I got him outside, we spent over 5 minutes while he continuously tried relieving himself and shaking. I do not know what occurred during his stay, but there is no way I could ever leave him here again.
