I saw how carefully and conscientiously he worked to care for the animals. In spite of his youth, he's a highly experienced pet owner and shared very helpful practical knowledge. There was zero pressure and no hard sales. My friend and I came in one night looking around but not particularly motivated to buy. Connor and the other staff treated us as valued guests, not customers or annoying window-shoppers. One puppy stopped what she was doing and scoped me out as soon as I walked in. We played with the puppy, asked a few questions which he answered very nicely and comprehensively. No pressure. Then we said thanks and went home. A little more than 24 hours later, I'd changed my mind and decided I want the puppy. I spoke with a different employee, Jill, also very kind and helpful although I primarily dealt with Connor, whose work is outstanding but all of their employees are very helpful and courteous and most importantly, they all truly care about the animals. Jill assisted me in placing the downpayment. By the following night, I was back to bring the puppy home. Once there, Connor and the rest of the staff did everything they could to make the whole process as smooth as possible. They went through a lot of puppy care information. The entire process took roughly 2 hours. Nobody tried to upsell me on anything or recommend anything silly, expensive or unnecessary. Any additional things he recommended were products I either asked for or he's actually tried and buys for his own pets. Connor even helped me and the new puppy get to our car safely with the "welcome home puppy" kit. The kit includes a crate, food, housebreaking pads and training aides, and a lamb for the pup to cuddle... all the basics for a new puppy. There should be more than enough to get you through the first few days to a week. Some of the items in the kit (like appetite stimulator) you may not need, or you may use only once or twice, but you have no way of knowing UNTIL you need it, and if your puppy DOES need it, you'll be very grateful that it's there. You can purchase additional items on top of the new puppy kit, of course, the store has a decent selection of pet toys and accessories (food, collars, leashes, pet care and grooming items, etc) mostly toys for the dog, a few clothes like dog tshirts, raincoats and frilly, silly accessories, but not TOO too many. it's more like an old-school pet store, probably only roughly 1/4 the size of a PetSmart or Petco. It's mostly things to use for pet care and maintenance. I know that the review is for the business and not the employees, but my experience at Petland was outstanding based on the employees, Connor in particular. He's like an angel who cares for puppies whose owners just haven't found them yet. Five stars times infinity.

Update: In response to the business's reply…read more.. Thank you for your reply, but this is the exact same response we received the first time we posted a review. It feels like an automatic, scripted message rather than a genuine attempt to address what actually happened. Our family lost a puppy just one week after purchase. That is not something that can be brushed aside with a generic statement about "taking health and well-being seriously." We have already provided documentation, yet instead of reimbursement, my son and daughter-in-law were offered store credit and told to go through arbitration. That is not compassion, nor is it accountability. If Petland Frisco truly values its customers and the animals it sells, then it needs to stop relying on template responses and start taking meaningful action -- beginning with making this right for our family.

Today was my fourth visit here, and the young man working the counter this afternoon, guessing about late high school age to early 20s, could not have been nicer or more welcoming. Due to the heat and multiple dogs, I had to make separate trips in today. On my first visit, an attendant was diligently, cleaning vacated, tubs, and restocking towels. She was courteous and even pointed the way to a freshly disinfected station. The only less than stellar thing that occurred during my visit was that another patron failed to keep good control of her dog which promptly ran up and goosed me from behind and then proceeded to stick its face in my dog's face. Fortunately, my non-dog reactive dog was the one I was currently bathing. Pet supplies plus cannot control this type of situation and this was completely an owner issue which she recognized and apologized for but an interaction like this could go badly. I know square footage is costly, but it would be very nice if in future buildings greater space could be allotted between bays when they are across from each other or have a single wall of bathing bays because this animal approached suddenly and from behind and due to the air blower being in use, I did not hear it approach. On my second visit, roughly 45 minutes after the first, the same individual was working the check out lane and again pleasantly greeted me upon arrival and punched my card. Upon entering the bathing area, I was disappointed to see that one patron had grabbed at least four towels and that there were no towels remaining at all on the rack. I should have exited and gone to the front at that point and requested towels because no one ever came to the bathing area while I was there. Two additional patrons arrived after me. I typically hose down my station and then wipe the tub with a used towle to try and keep it nice for the next person as well as sopping up any water that may be on the floor in my vicinity. Because there were no towels, this was not possible. As I was exiting the store, I did make the four staff members engaged in conversation at the front of the store aware that there were no towels left and that there were still two patrons using the bathing area with large dogs. Only the friendly young man who had greeted me upon my entry acknowledged me. I always keep towels in my car because I take the dogs places where they're likely to get muddy or excessively dirty so it was no big deal to use my own for my second dog but know that some clients might not appreciate taking home a mostly wet dog. I really want to like this location, and I recognize that using a punch card which equates to $12 a bath is a great deal. However, a smile and a wave and having amenities available that you advertised will be would be most appreciated in the future.

When I received Grizzly post tidy up he was shaking, still wet, and digging his claws into me. Once home I had to blow dry him myself only to discover he had 2 cuts. One inside of his ear and another on his inner leg. I expected a tidy trim but he had been completely shaved from belly button down and his entire tail hair had been cut off into a stub instead of trimmed. The groomer nor front desk associate mentioned anything and when I called to speak with management, I was told they would call back. It's now been 2 days with no returned call or concern for their negligence. $170 later and my dog has an uneven and unattractive underbelly and backside, shorter ear fluff (when we never asked for this to be cut) and trauma from being nicked in the process. For the price you can go somewhere that will actually care for your fur baby and communicate when things don't go as planned.

But after we got home, we noticed two patches on Murphy's back, which was concerning. What bothered us most was that no one mentioned it to us at pickup. Even if it was minor, we should have been told. Just sharing this because better communication would have made a big difference.
