This past year has been extremely challenging finding a decent groomer because I work full time and most groomers like to book early in the day. This places me at Petco because they have accommodating hrs. I went on-line to book my Appt. and my poor girl waited 3 wks. with her long poodle hair and these high summer temps. I get an email confirming my Appt. the day before, nice! I arrive at my Appt. and I was told by a guy there that my groomer wasn't at work. Wow! I know staffing has been an issue because of Covid but all I'm saying is to have enough curtesy to let a person know and don't LIE to the customer and say you left a message the day before when you didn't. I went home and checked my Petco account and you have my correct phone #. I checked my cell messages and texts, nothing! Petco in Beaumont, CA. has very POOR to NO customer service. I went home and groomed my dog myself and saved a grip of money. read more

They carry pretty much everything you could want for a pet. Toys, leashes, crates, ballerina dog dresses, etc. You can find many of the same brands of dog food at PetCo such as Iams, Science Diet and other better foods at cheaper prices at WalMart. Guess they have to mark them up since you're in a specialty pet place. I almost never see employees in the store, except at the register. read more

I found Cassie at this Petco through her fantastic Yelp reviews, and I'm so glad I did. I've been to several local groomers for my Cairn mix Sunny, and no one has come close to the time and attention Cassie gave to both me and Sunny. I brought in some pictures and she gave me good guidance, and she even went back to bring out her grooming book to show me examples of what she was describing. I have never had such a great convo with a groomer in my life! She listened and helped guide me in making choices for Sunny's coat. And when I picked Sunny up she looked fantastic! Bad customer service! On the last two visits to the store I had what I consider very bad service. On the first visit I needed an item in their locked glass case, so I asked an employee to help me. She said she needed to go get the key. After waiting about 7 or 8 minutes I found her over with another customer petting their dog, so I had to ask another employee for help. On the next visit I had several heavy items including a 16 pound container of cat litter to take to the cash register. Since no one was in line I went directly to one of the two checkers standing there doing nothing. The older lady at the first register walked off totally ignoring me and the young man at the other register stood there for a few minutes looking at me and finally said " are you in line?" Their employees need training for basic customer service. read more

Dropped by to take advantage of the "Buy 3 and get 1 FREE" Glo Fish promo, but when I got there all 4 of the Glo Fish tanks were empty. The attendant told me they had all gotten sick and DIED.....Bummer.... Then, when I was waiting to check out with a few other fish I bought there, a poodle mix brought in by a customer got excited, jumped up on my thigh and peed all over my leg, foot and shoe as well as leaving a 2-foot diameter puddle of pee on the floor. While the owner apologized to me, the old lady cash register operator said nothing......She took an "Oh well"....attitude. This to me it is inexcusable to allow anything but service animals into a store (uncles they are being carried in for the grooming area) and exposes corporate to potential for massive lawsuits for slip and falls on pee/poop, or dogs biting little kids or other dogs. I will wait to get my (AGC) Apology Gift Card in the mail from Petco for the cost ($25) of buying a new pair of sandals, as I am certainly not going to wear ones that have been soaked in dog pee.... . read more

This place is a bit pricey - so I took my pup elsewhere for a while. But after a few visits, my border collie was TERRIFIED and began to shake uncontrollably when I tried to drop her off at my local groomer. So I came back to Petco, where I was warmly greeted by staff and the experienced groomer Pat. My pup LOVES Pat and her demeanor whenever we arrive at Petco is excited- not scared. I learned my lesson. You get what you pay for. And here, you get an amazing staff grooming, taking care of, and loving your pet. I won't take my dog anywhere else from now on. read more

Petco's return policy is ridiculously strict. I tried to return a new in the package item and was told it was past the return date (less than 60 days of purchase). I looked it up when I got home and you have to return within 30 days. The item I was returning had $100 of other items on the receipt and I was making a $60 purchase when I was returning the item. In addition, I was going to take my dog there for puppy classes. Petco you win, you get to keep the $12.99 and I will shop elsewhere. read more

Squeaky clean establishment, organized and convenient layout, genuinely helpful and friendly staff. For some reason you forget these places exist until your pet needs something you can't find at Walmart... then you magically stop shopping for pet supplies at Walmart. Took my dog for grooming. My dog came back botched. It looked like a blind person went to town on my dog. It was definitely rushed. Her hair is uneven and they didn't even cut one of the legs. It looks like we found her in an alley in banning. I was told she would only be there for 2 or 3 hours. After 3 hours I called and they said she wasn't ready. They called 4 HOURS later with an attitude and asked when I was coming to get my dog. Last time I use this place. And they had the nerve to ask for a tip. I would have been better off letting my 2 year old give her a cut. read more

We didn't have an appointment but the groomers saw our dog, Sushi, right away. We had not been to this location but all of our dog's info was in the computer. They were running a special so it was only $25 for a wash, nail trim and a teeth brushing. When we picked her up they let us know they had cut one of Her nails a bit short and she was bleeding a little. They used some powder to make it stop and the dog didn't see to be in any pain. The staff handled the issue very well. Now Sushi is looking fresh and clean! read more

Carrie, Brandi, and Jane specifically come to mind although everybody I have talked to is very nice, knowledgeable, and helpful. The location is very good. As always, the store is "pet friendly" and kept very clean. I have run into a few occasions where the items I am looking for are not available but a quick chat with a staff member sets my expectations appropriately. All our local groomers were booked on Sunday in L.A. We had the idea of going to Morongo for the afternoon and thought we'd try this Petco's services. For $46 Dixie came out looking beautiful. Shampooed, conditioned, smelling great, nails clipped, glands done whatever they do. So we played and when she was done they called. It was perfect timing for all to go home. read more

If I could leave no stars, I WOULD! They have a manager name Rachel and she has the worst customer service I've ever been faced with! I go in there for a return and Rachel is on the phone arguing with a customer and the associate Selena was helping me Rachel came in high jacked the transaction not knowing what was going on and made Salina take the phone call, mind you she did this right in the middle of our transaction and after waiting patiently for 5 minutes for Rachel to then be caught up to speed for her to get it all wrong again I simply said "you guys need to get it together" And with that Rachel yelled and humiliated me in front of at least 6 customers and said "excuse me ma'am but we are doing everything we can to make you happy so can you please be quiet and let me finish this transaction" I was appalled and I then told her she did not need to be snotty and with that she said "I have a right to refuse service to you" WOW unbelievable she could refuse my service, I was returning items, so was she going to refuse giving my money back? I did get my money back but I WILL NEVER BE BACK, EVER at that store again and I am canceling all my subscriptions I've got with my monthly Petco. If they can endorse customer service like this then they can do without customers. Pat has been grooming dogs for over 20 years and you can tell she has many years of experience. Beverly, a sales associate, always greets me and is very knowledgeable about products and services. She always helps me with coupons and specials that Petco is offering. I'm very happy to have this store close to where I live. read more

It's kind of funny. My dad got us a small fish tank so our 6 month old son could grunt and giggle at fish. After getting the tank set up we went to Petco to pick up some up. My dad said he wanted to purchase 10 of a certain kind of fish (they were like 5 for $5) and the woman asked how big the tank was and we told her. She told us she couldn't sell us that many in good conscience and that they would all die. My dad insisted on getting 10 fish but she wouldn't sell them to him which I was proud of. It probably ticked him off but I was happy she stuck to her guns. She obviously cared about animals. My dad then said he was going to feed the fish fried chicken which didn't make any sense. read more

The two stars are for the very considerate and pleasant young man working the cash register at about 1:00 P.M. The absence of anymore are for the young lady he asked to fill the rubber band bin at the dog treat bar. For some reason, when we asked her to do this, she went over to the cages where the kittens are kept, looked in, walked over to the grooming area and began carrying on a conversation. At no point did she make ANY effort to find the rubber bands. I really felt badly for the cashier. He was obviously embarassed. This is the second time I have gone on here to write a negative review. It's very unfortunate, with so many of the businesses that have moved into the Pass not making it in spite of the fact that the communities have grown. Most of us who are lifetime residents still like to have our business appreciated and a level of service that means someone cares. I would suggest you think about this......Staples was the only office supply store in the area and they didn't make it. Your uniqueness for pet lovers won't keep folks from going to Wal-mart to but bagged treats if you don't give your customers a reason to come to you and pay twice the amount for what they want for their pets instead. read more

Got my dog groomed today and I couldn't be more pleased with the service I received. From start to finish, I can't praise Roman's customer service enough! It started with a phone call I made to see if they could get my dog seen same day. Roman was so pleasant on the phone and was able to get my dog seen right away. When I got there I thanked him for being so helpful and for accommodating us and he was just the most cheerful and friendly person I've ever dealt with there. When I picked my picked up my dog I was stunned. He looked absolutely flawless, and being a Siberian Husky who is in the process of losing his under coat, I know it took a lot of thorough time and effort. My dog was happy, I was happy, I count today as a win. Roman provided exceptional customer service from start to finish and the pride he takes in the work he does makes him shine in his position at this store. Pat in grooming is awesome. She has gone out of her way several time to get our Corgi in for grooming after we have been camping. So a week ago tomorrow my family and I adopted 2 kittens both tabby, initially we only intended on adopting one but there were only two left they look almost identical accept one has white paws. Both kittens are very friendly and purr like mad and have made a great addition to our home. However I personally have never owned a cat so I didn't notice the runny eyes that one of the kittens was having this symptom was then followed by sneezing and coughing it then dawned on me two days after bringing our furry babies home that it might be a cold so my complaint is this why on earth would you allow someone to adopt a sick animal.
