By far the best service we have ever experience at any pet store. We came in with our two kids just to look for dog food, but we felt like we went to a petting zoo! An amazing woman let our son pet all sorts of animals, taught him so great things and even got me to touch a snake!!! We had so much fun with her. A gentleman even let my son feed some fish too! We had so much fun, we got home and all day, my son spoke about his experience and had to call his poppy and grandma and tell them all about his day! Thank you soo much! read more

The staff is friendly the manager is very nice ... BUT DO NOT GROOM your dog here . The girl cut both my dogs very bad . She cut my maltese skin . and part of my yorkies ear OFF . Don't NOT sign up for their VITAL CARE! They sneak a provision to have money taken out of your bank account for a whole year! They have an automatic renewal that needs to be removed manually by calling in. Then to actually cancel they will try very hard to convince not to cancel . Just like your at car dealership but over the phone. They reminded me of the provision in the sign up that it's a year commitment that is not very obvious. I they told them that is very sneaky and no one show have to be committed to paying for a service they don't see a value. Their call center for vital care is in the Caribbean and they are pushy and very rude. The rep told me that my recent pay will " go down the drain"! read more

Brandon was such a great help! It was 15 till closing, I went in to get my snail for my tank and had no idea what I was doing. He was kind enough to explain to me the different types they had... about the water plant and the conditioner I should have to maintain the plant. I really don't like places that don't give a discount to military or regulate when to give it. I will be petty and and establishment that doesn't give one I'm gonna leave my review. Why regulate us to just Tuesday for a discount then that only go to grooming. Our jobs where and was 24-7 no matter what so I feel wholeheartedly that any establishment should not have any issues with giving out a military discount and I most likely sure someone in there family is or was or still is military. read more

We came in with our new puppy to get some supplies- we were greeted at the pet clinic "vetco , asked about vaccines for our new baby- the nurse Tiffany Was so kind and explained what vaccines our baby should get , And informed us that they could do them now if we wanted- she really showed great care for our puppy! Came in looking for a bird carrier for my birds to take them to the vet. First off I noticed the prices from online and in stores were very different. I found an associate, didn't catch her name but I asked her if they price match their online items. She said yes and I came around and told her that I wanted to make sure, cuz I was unaware they did that. Interaction was nice up until that point. She had been cleaning the budgies cage after their feeding and I mentioned how cute they were and that we have a budgie but she refuses to eat veggies, I was trying to make conversation with her and she stared at me and pretty much ignored me. They are knowledable on most of their animals and know exactly where everything is in the store. This location has a large selection of everything pet and pet related. The dog grooming team and Shea. Exceptional. Beyond Exceptional. I'm convinced that the stars that formed over billions of years to produce the carbon that eventually became the Dog Grooming Team and Shea would be grateful to know (if they had consciousness) that such awesome people popped into existence. Shea has completely turned the reptile section around. There used to be bugs crawling amongst the substrate of all the reptiles, 8 iguanas crammed into one 35 gallon tank, not good at all. But then Shea graced the reptile section with her power and now it is truly a sight to behold. The Grooming Team... What can I say? Their power was shown when they gave me our dog back PERFECTLY groomed. On top of that, our dog is a nervous shelter dog but when we picked her up she was soooooo relaxed and happy that she'd make the resting Romans look lazy. Give a raise to Shea and the Grooming team! I have my Dog groomed at Petco 2340 E seren today, I told the woman the reason why I transfer my dog to petco was due to my dog was traumatized with petsmart grooming service. She said she will take care of my dog, but to my surprise they even made worst to my dog. My dog left eye was seams to have soap into it or during grooming his eyes was poke by an object, he has now a teary-eyed and always closed it. It is the worst experience with this irresponsible unprofessional employee of petco. I Did not notice until we got back home. Never bring your pet and trusted to this kind of employee. read more

I like this particular Petco store. Very well stocked. Clean. Well maintained. Staff greet customers as they enter the store and are friendly and focused. The whole culture of this store feels good. Management seems to hire qualified employees who also understand quality customer service (not so easy to find in the Valley sometimes). The fish section is remarkable for a national chain pet store with large selection of quality fresh and salt water choices. The fish sales associate Tyler Simmons is knowledgeable and on the ball with information and willingness to special order livestock. I've been really pleased with his attention to details I like shopping here and feel valued as a customer. This store is worth checking out. read more

We had our dog trained by Jessica. She is amazing and friendly...and says hi to us every time we stop in. Leslie, in grooming, is fantastic with our shih tzu. I take both my pups to PETCO for positive dog training and Jessica is fantastic with all the pups! My Boys are Boston Terriers & a little wild and crazy. This store discriminated against me and refused to sell me a crested gecko. I had mentioned the sex of the animal to an employee and she asked if I was buying to breed. I told her I had breeded in the past and the manager, Sam, came to refuse to sell me the animal because it needs to go to a "forever home" and selling animals to breed is against corporate policy. I wanted to be that poor animals forever home. The crested gecko I wanted to take home was no where near adult or have any business breeding. This animal, as well as every other tropical species they had , were kept in 100 degree heat with 30% humidity. Which is dangerous to all of these animals. I work 3 days a week as a first responder and spend the other 4 taking care of my small collection of reptiles and giving them proper care and need. I mentioned that a bearded dragon looked like it was about to pass away and the employee and manger agreed with me and said they were "worried about it" and told the employee to finish sweeping. How the manager sleeps knowing that animal is going to die in their care and refusing to allow it to come to a good home is beyond me. read more

Can't recommend this Petco location highly enough! All of the staff we have encountered have been so kind and helpful, made us feel valued as customers, and that they truly cared about our pets and their well-being! This store is clean and well-stocked. There are other Petco (and Petsmart) locations closer to my home, but I will continue to drive to this location for our pet needs because of the excellent service we have received from this store. The customer service at this location is HORRIBLE. I went to the counter to pay for my items and was 2nd in line. The TINA-cashier made eye contact with me and immediately walked away. All I could say was wow, I tried not to make it a big deal and went to the next counter. The other associate was finishing a transaction, and I was next in line again. I patiently waited for my turn all while another customer walking up to the other side of the counter. The cashier already saw me prior to the other customer who just started putting up their items. He then tells me to get behind them, and switches registers. He says he will help me next. I did let him know that I had already been waiting at the counter since the last person just left, and am slightly annoyed that he is letting this person go ahead of me after already seeing me in line. I am so annoyed how they ignored me and how long it took to pay for my 3 items. Then the lady comes back to the counter as if nothing had happened and doesn't even apologize/etc. I wasn't hostile or rude. I'm not expecting grade A customer service but man! It is hard to say- I will be right back or... something. She then tells me to have a good day & I just look at her and take my receipt. I will never come back to this location! EVER. read more

In so angry at them. They had groomed/cut my dog for 5 years and groomer left. Something happened and now Chewie wont tolerate a hair cut AT ALL. On top of that Petco put him on their DO NOT CUT AGGRESSIVE DOG list so the other location that had done him a few times wont do him either. The store manager got involved and offered me some dog food.... Does he realize that chewie looks like a dustmop thats been in the trash can then in dryer for a week??? If you go near him now with scissors to trim him up, no way hes having it. Thanks Petco for screwing up a perfectly good dog! I dont know what to do now so if i could cut all your hair with a blindfold on, id do it... Better yet, ill let Chewie do it!!!!! We came to this location to see if they carried flukers liquid calcium we kinda figured they wouldn't but we didn't want to drive across town to go to our usual reptile shop in plus they have a Home Depot next door. It's convenient so we can get some more plants as well. We start looking around and notice they have a few crested geckos so we ask the lady who was talking with an associate at the front if we could take a look at them so we can see all the colors and patterns they have. She says ok then comes over and starts showing us the cresties. We ask if she knows if any are female she said she doesn't know. Then she asks us if we intended to breed the female if she did have one she said she doesn't want to sell an animal that might die to a breeder who is "new to the game". Which I agree with her on that there's to many people who breed for the wrong reason or breed with very little experience or knowledge on the animal. She continued talking to us like we were the type that just puts them in Tupperware on a rack and mass breeds them with no care of the animals well being or health. She even said that we should get knowledge from Reptiles n Reefs. The store that sold us a half blind Baskilisk lizard. He's doing fine by the way but that's not the point of this review. She didn't once ask us how long we have been keeping reptiles or what type of enclosure, humidity, heat and uvb requirements this specific reptile needs. She just automatically assumed we didn't have any knowledge of the reptile. It started to become frustrating. We may not be well know breeders since we wait until they are ADULTS before selling and we don't breed hundreds of babies all year round we take our time carefully making sure the animal we intend to breed is healthy physically and genetically before we even consider it a breeder. I just hope that in the future this specific location would pay more attention to who they hire and the type of questions they ask Before assuming someone's experience and intent with an animal. read more

This is for Vetco. I've been to a few vet clinics as I have several dogs. The staff is very accommodating and helpful. They also didn't seem understaffed. The vet answered all of my questions in great detail and without rushing. The services are priced moderately. I needed blood work done for one of my dogs, for which I was quoted around ~$350 at other clinics. I paid ~$120 here. They also weren't pushy with upselling and adding services, as I've experienced with other clinics. I'm only deducting 1 star as the dog pee smell was certainly there. Other than that, I definitely recommend this place. read more

Honestly, this Petco is very clean. I'm so impressed. I used to go to other Pet Store to purchase bags of dog food and the bags are usually dirty and dusty, but that's not the case in this store, bags seems brand new and just got out of the box. The cashier is very helpful and friendly. read more

I have been shopping here for years. However, recently it seems they they have had a turn over in staff. All of the new staff is either transfers from other stores or new hires and none are qualified for their jobs. I have had staff ask me how to ring up a refill on liter... I had to show him which drawer to find the code in but he was still confused He was new I get it... however, while I was doing this the other staff member ignored this poor new guy and went over to lock the doors then once she saw me asked if I knew we were closing in a horribly rude tone... I had to tell the lady that I was aware but I could not leave due to the fact their new hire wasn't sure how to ring up the codes for my purchase... she seemed annoyed but finished the job. The women is also a new hire but seems to be a transfer since she knows more about the store... she is extremely rude every time I go in. I have had another run in with a new worker there who told me they did not carry extra feeder frozen rats in the back... she laughed when I told her they did instead of offering to check... she asked another senior staff member right before I walked out the door who agreed they did in fact do this and happily brought me them. I understand these are new staff, but the tone and rudeness does not take training... And if the new hires aren't ready then please do not leave them by themselves. I honestly dread coming here now because of this. read more

I want it in petco the other day and I was in real bad shape because my dog has very bad allergies and I was really scared because money is a little scarce and I didn't know how to solve his problem without getting a shot from the vet. I then spoke to this lovely young woman named Raven who immediately calm me down and showed me the products that would help heal his skin t.he best part about my experience with Raven is that she was not judgmental and she didn't look at me like a terrible dog owner which many people do when they have a dog that doesn't look like every other dog. I really owe my knowledge from this employee she really impressed me and made my day my life hundred percent more enjoyable. Thank you Raven for all your help read more
