I've been in twice now at two different times of the day picking up stuff for my bearded dragon. Although they didn't carry any dehumidifiers, both times the staff was very helpful and knowledgeable about the care of bearded dragons and took the time to answer questions I had and provided some solutions based on their own experiences caring for the ones they had in the store. I was very impressed. I also appreciated being able to see how they set up their tanks.

JOHN was so friendly & helpful today! I had a problem with my online order & he was very quick to answer all my questions & go above and beyond to help me. He has amazing communication skills with customers & his team, even with how many people needed his help! Willow & I thank you John!!!

I use their vet and grooming services. Staff are nice and knowledgeable! I've used various groomers here and they have consistent results.

Doors locked and no one in sight... then told they are too busy. Calling corporate office next.

Negative 5 stars. Had a full service grooming (bath, trim, teeth brushing, nail filing) appointment for 5pound Yorkie at 7am Mother's Day Sunday morning. Due to flat tire still arrived at 7:10am no one answered the phone before 7am, with doors locked, we knocked and finally called. The person never came to the door we were just turned way on the phone saying they had a full schedule. Well don't we all, to be turned away rather than cut back on services is not very professional takes more than ten minutes to do a full service grooming. Not even a courtesy call to confirm appointment. I will find a more friendly accommodating pet grooming service. Any recommendations?

I took my rescue puppy, Cali, to Morgan Hill's Petco for training and socialization. She was shy at the start, but each class was so much fun that she quickly became comfortable with the other puppies, their handlers and the trainer, Isabela. Isabella was great. She gave equal attention to everyone, and you can tell she loves what she does. Cali learned all the basics and earned her Puppy certificate, and we'll be going back for more.

Friendly staff but terrible grooming experience. We took our Westie mix to get a bath and hair cut and they completely botched our poor pup. We showed a picture of what we wanted and explained a clean up around the eyes. They cut his whispers, beard and basically did a shave of his entire face. Luckily the hair will grow back but we will not be returning to petco grooming services.picture on the left is before the grooming apt. Pic on the right is on our way home. :/

Came into Petco for some goodies for my puppy. Love the selection of toys they offer for all types of pets, not just dogs & cats. They come in just the right size for your pet. Found him some treats that he loves at The Treatery stand near the check-out registers. I know he likes them because he finished the bag I bought him last time. They also have a good selection of chewing bones in a variety of sizes and flavors. I went with the medium beef braided one. he loved it and enjoyed his time chewing away on it. Tried their dog food, but, it was not the right fit for my puppy. It would be convenient if they carried the popular dog food brands that big retailers do, so I could get all my puppy need in one place. I will defiantly be back because, like I said, they have a good selection of everyday pet items.

Do they have self grooming tubs?

No. Ganado pet feed in Morgan Hill does. I would advise you to stay away from petco completely. Absolutely terrible corporation.

When Jake modeled how to put our pup in the crate, he had her hanging w/her 2 front feet off the ground (choking), & he then proceeded to knee her into the crate. Yes, he knee'd her. When we brought out our existing dog, he actually hit him in the face! My family & I were totally stunned. I very sternly told him that we do not hit our animals in this house under any circumstances. He was extremely dismissive. This was my first experience with a private trainer & did not know what to expect, nor did I know much about the world of dog training. As the weeks went by I did reach out to Jake again because we felt desperate & the idea of what he was selling sounded like it would be good for our dogs' needs. However, I could not get past the first encounter, nor the pit in my stomach. I, personally, did not trust Jake to treat our animals with kindness & respect that they deserved. The other off-putting thing that Jake shared while he was at our home for the evaluation was that he once put his dog in down-stay & then forgot about her. He fell asleep & awoke the next morning to find her still in down-stay, but had soiled herself. He was very proud of the obedience she had shown. I just couldn't help but feel awful for her, and continually thought that this was not a story I, personally, would be bragging about. I saw how he treated my dogs on our very first meet, I absolutely could not move forward whatsoever. I feel ashamed that I did not stop him in the middle of the evaluation. I should have. I should have asked him to leave & I did not. That haunts me. Our rescue pup is doing AMAZINGLY well with an AMAZING facility called RFRD!!! She is SO happy, calm, & every day learning how to be a calm pup despite her traumatic beginning. Their custom, well-rounded program, with honest experts, has changed the life of our pup, as well as our own. Harnessing Potential was not for our family, nor for our pups. Jake did not treat our animals with kindness or respect in our presence.

(2) The trainer we were assigned to was forthcoming, efficient and excellent with the training. He was clear with what we could expect and what the constraints were. (3) Primal Canine is local to where we live, and we really preferred to go with a nearby small business, as both one we could support and build a relationship with, and for convenience. Within the 3 weeks of board and train our puppy went through, he came back with solid foundations and ability to understand and respond positively to basic commands. Primal's role does not end with the program - they constantly support with our needs and questions even after graduating from B&T, and actually offer a lifetime of resources to help us grow and flourish with our new best friend. We have done training before with other known companies, which has given my big boy a great foundation (as well as myself, because lets be honest us humans are really the ones that need the training). But Inclined is a whole different level! The trainers invest and want to make your fur baby succeed on all levels. So your dog isn't social, they will make space for that, your dog isn't friendly, they will make space for that, your dog doesn't listen, they will make space for that... the space is done in baby steps, which allows your fur baby to succeed. They are also solid in the communication area. Which is huge to me. All I can say is do your part and invest in your animals, its your responsibility as a pet parent. Why not get connected with a program that will train your animal as well as you the pet parent. My experience has been nothing but positive, its one of the best investments I have made in my dog and that is priceless!

I'm sure the other people in my class really benefitted from this. If you've never done agility this is a great place to start and continue your training! The time spent on foundations is exceptionally amazing. It will give you the precision, not only to compete with your dog, but to keep your dog safe once you start working with the agility equipment. A lot of people don't know how much effort these handlers put in on the safety aspect when working with agility equipment. The dogs can get seriously hurt if they land wrong on jumps. They can fall off equipment because they don't know where their feet are or the handler "pulls" them off by changing their body language to soon. Foundation work is necessary and very important. If you are like me and moved to the area with previous agility training. This is not the place. They start you with very basic foundational skills for the first 6 weeks. Sit, stay, eye contact, and a few other things. Not knocking that these are not important, as they should be there if you've been training for a while. When I asked if we would be continuing onto the next set of classes, I explained why we would not be continuing. Never received a response back. It made it seem as if it was merely about the finances at that point and I wasn't worth their time. I felt this was unprofessional on their part.

I have decades of experience fostering dogs and personally adopting many of my own, and over the years I've worked with a wide range of trainers. Without question, Steve is in a league entirely of his own. His talent, intuition, and depth of understanding when it comes to dogs is extraordinary. He doesn't just train dogs; he teaches humans how to truly understand them. What made the experience even more unforgettable was the joy he brought into the day. We laughed constantly. At one point my cheeks genuinely hurt from hours of smiling and laughter. And yet, amid all of that warmth and humor, we walked away with an incredibly clear, grounded, and practical understanding of his methods and a deep sense of confidence in our ability to apply them. Steve's approach is refreshingly doable: just five minutes of training per day, paired with his ongoing availability as a resource. That combination alone feels invaluable. We literally just completed our training day today, so I plan to update this review in a few months with more detail about long-term ease of execution and results with our dog, Griffin. But one thing I feel compelled to share now is this: throughout the entire day, even while Griffin was dramatically protesting (vocally, and with flair), Steve remained calm, steady, and completely unfazed. Griffin didn't love everything he was being asked to do, but he clearly adored Steve. He never cowered, never shut down, never showed fear. That level of trust speaks volumes. At one point, I asked Steve about scheduling an additional training day for one of our other dogs. His response was thoughtful, sensible, and deeply ethical: he told me it wouldn't be necessary. He explained that the principles I was learning with Griffin would absolutely apply to our other dogs as well, and that he'd be more than happy to answer questions along the way. That moment really matters to me because it so clearly reflects that Steve is driven by genuine passion and care for people and dogs, not by squeezing every possible dollar out of his clients. I also want to wholeheartedly acknowledge Tasha, who was incredibly kind, responsive, and compassionate throughout the scheduling process. We had to cancel our original training day due to a traumatic injury our other dog, Enzo, sustained: a spinal stroke. Tasha immediately offered to refund our deposit without hesitation. When I shared that I still very much wanted to work with Steve, she later went out of her way to find us an earlier date than originally offered after I asked to be notified of any cancellations. That level of care and humanity meant so much during a really difficult time. I am profoundly grateful for Steve and his entire team. This was one of the most positive, affirming, and empowering experiences I've ever had as a dog guardian. If you're looking for the best, congratulations. You have found it with One Day Dog Training!
