The Hamilton Town Center location is very large compared to others I've been to. They have a lot of selections whether for pet supplies or if you are looking for birds, fish, reptiles etc. They also partner with Robin's Nest fortitude/ cat adoption. I'm not sure if my review should be of Petco or vetco, but I had a very bad experience both times I've gone. The facility is nice and the dog trainer was great, but the lady who was the manager was rude and the vetco vaccination clinic was 30 minutes past my appointment before I was seen. I had my two young boys with me and got chastised by the manager that they were restless/loud around the store. I explained to her that I wouldnt have brought them if I had known that an appointment didn't mean much. I was told to show up for the appointment 10 minutes early, which I did, but then that meant the whole process took one hour for one single rabies shot. The previous time I went, I got my dog an exam and other vaccinations, but I was told they couldn't do the rabies vaccine because my dog still had two months before the current one expired. This time, they told me I couldn't get the three year rabies vaccine because it was two months OVER the expiration date. I've never heard of these rules before and didn't have the same problem at other vaccine clinics I've been to. I wont be going back to this facility. Rude and inefficient. read more

I have been doing monthly shipping for dog food and grooming/bathing for a long long time with them. The groomers/bathers were great. Enjoyed taking my dog there. Went in for my dog to be groomed to meet an unfamiliar face at the grooming area. Turns out this person was the manager. This manager was so rude and unprofessional. I was trying to drop off my dog as usual when this Manager lady goes into attack mode on me stating that my dog had a mat under his neck. I asked her to show me and she couldn't. My dog has tight curly hair. I'm not sure if she was trying to get more money out of me or what. I was not happy with her confrontational attitude telling me "I've been a groomer for 25 yrs" on and on. Then proceeds to tell me she does not need my business that the grooming area makes $10,000 a week and I can leave. This is over rather my dog had a mat or not?????? Are you kidding me lady??? My husband said just "show my wife the mat". The groomer was dismissive and said I don't need to and I don't need your business! So bye. The groomer stood behind the manager and just shook her head. Like I can't believe this. Well needless to say I found another establishment and Petco will not be seeing another cent from me. Petco this person is not a manager or a pet lover. I would not let her around any living animal. Shame on Petco for hiring such a awful person. read more

We have had some good experiences at this location, but the most recent has made sure we will not be returning. I brought my dog in for a nail trim, after working to schedule it into their calendar to make sure we could get him in. I appreciated the time that was taken by whoever I was chatting with via text to schedule this. The plan was to bring him in with his updated rabies information. However, it slipped my mind that we needed this on our way in on Saturday. My husband took him up to the counter and when told he needed the rabies information, he didn't have it. The worker there (didn't get her name) was so rude to my husband. She was short and rude saying that she specifically told me I needed to bring it with me to the appointment. She was so rude to him that we decided we are no longer going to take our pup to this location. Cut to today, I bring my pup into another location and am told that my dog has been "referred out." I ask what this means and the worker tells me it typically is due to a dog biting a groomer or something to that extent... needless to say I was surprised because we've never heard anything like that from a groomer before. Luckily, the groomer was willing to try to work with my dog for a nail trim, got confirmation through her own experience that he doesn't act up during a groom, and was surprised like I was that he had been referred out. This groomer was kind, patient, and understanding of my confusion. I have no official confirmation of this, but I'm almost positive he was referred out by the Noblesville location for no reason at all other than pettiness. read more

Vetco is a joke and do NOT take your animal there for vaccinations. First, it's like a factory, and that's on me because with a lower price it's probably not going to be great. I had my kitten in for a series of 3 vaccines. The first two were ok, though I got a report giving vitals and the vet didn't take any. But that's ok, it was just for his first vaccines. The third, and final, was a different story. It was a different vet and my cat was not liking her or the technician helping. The tech seemed inexperienced and couldn't hold him properly with a towel. The vet was slow and inefficient so after one vaccine my cat was super upset. The vet handed me the oral to give myself later and didn't do the microchip. She said I could get it done when I had him neutered at another vet. I'd purchased a package and asked they refund that part and the staff had no idea how to deal with customer service issues. I'd say this is by design. I called customer service and they couldn't deal with it and referred it to the next tier, whose job it is to say no. They refused to credit me anything. I don't want to go there again so will eat the cost of microchipping at my own vet. I shouldn't have tried this place. You get what you pay for and this place is the worst. They have no scruples and should've prorated the microchipping but would not. Do not go here. You've been warned. read more

Horrible inexperienced grooming!!! I brought my 5 month old Yorkipoo puppy in for his first grooming and not only did they not follow my instructions they completely butchered my poor puppy right at the onset of winter!!! I specifically asked the groomer to only do a light cut since this was his first visit and they told me since I only initially requested for a trim on his face Fanny and feet they could only do that due to time constraints. I came back 2 hours later to pick up my dog and didn't even recognize him!!! He looks horrible and I can't believe this so called professional groomer Lyndsey is able to do this !!! I am horrified and extremely angry!!! Do not use these folks at PETCO to groom your dogs!!! Absolutely terrible!!! They removed my review from their website because they did want others to know the truth about their services! read more

Absolutely the best staff. Every single time I've been to a Petco the staff has always been friendly and go out of their way to help out. Even though they may not have enough staff or there are some people waiting in line, they're always positive and upbeat ready to help out. The store itself is clean and the people have always been pleasant. However, when I took my dog in to use the DIY bath, I was really disappointed. Two of the tubs were loaded with hair, the restraints were difficult to work with, and they also only provide one towel. And since the dryers don't put out much air it would have taken forever to dry my dog, so we went home with him pretty well soaked. read more

Do not waste your money at this place. I brought my pet in for the self grooming and it was horrible. I got excited about this new store because it's a close distance and they have a different type of spray hose. The hose dispenses the soap. This place was disgusting. I should have looked before I paid but I didn't. Photos are shown below and none of it was from my dog. I have an Australian Shepherd that I'm trying to bathe and get some undercoat out until his next grooming appointment. There was hardly any soap or conditioner coming out of the hose for either setting. The tools and towels they gave me looked really dirty. That is of course if you can get the attention of the grooming salon workers to even get the bucket. You can't adjust the water temp. The dryer situation is a complete joke and the reason I am writing the review. The dryer is a basic hose and it was like non existent air. Now I am used to sitting there for a minute with my dog. He has a fluffy coat and he takes longer than like a lab.This was just a crappy piece of equipment. I finally got the attention of a groomer and asked if she can just blow dry him so he doesn't matt. No combing at all, just get him half dry. She was super sweet and tried to make it right. She said give her ten minutes and she will help. Well then this jerk of a male manager comes in while I'm trying to do what I can to get my dog dry. He asks me to stop so he can try and fix the hose. He comes out to tell me the hose is broken and to use the other tub. I point out that the other tubs are disgusting and I'm not putting my dog in there. I literally cleaned this tub before using it. He offered to clean a tub like he was doing me a big favor. Freaking clean your gross facilities! You are supposed to be doing that regardless! I told him it was fine, the girl was going to blow dry him. He said absolutely not, there would be extra fees and we aren't doing it. I offered to give them $5-10 to get him at least kinda dry. Again no combing or grooming services, just dry the dog. He flat out refused to make it right. Use the other hose or leave. He kept saying that he "was sorry I felt the area was dirty" and stared at me. I ended up using the other hose because my dog is soaking wet and surprise! It was the exact same quality of no air. I am not interested in a apology from this company. Refund my money if you want. I am contacting corporate and never coming back. He walked away and couldn't care less. If you need a self wash, go to Pet People or Pet Supplies. They are always nice and clean. I should have just driven further and gone where I go normally. read more

This location is almost always out of at least something (even basic things like Fresh Step cat litter and Purina and Hill's dog food) so I end up having to go to Petsmart or chewy.com. I'm tired of wasting time trying to save time. read more
