BEST PHO SOUP IN AUSTIN!!! I've been living here for 10…read moreyears and tucked away in the back of The Village at Westlake, is a FABULOUS PHO VIETNAMESE RESTAURANT CALLED LEE'S. I had no idea it was even here and I LOVE PHO. I've been under the weather with horrible allergies and I was craving a great bowl of Pho Soup, so I finally Googled "Pho in Westlake, and Lee's came up. So I called up, ordered and drove over. The ambiance is super cute and clean. THIS SOUP BLEW MY MIND!!! This soup blew anything out of the water that I have tasted in Vietnam. Healthy and hardy portion. We started off with the spring rolls. These were the freshest Spring rolls I have ever tasted, and the sauce was incredible. Then we moved onto the 1 Beef Pho and 1 Vegetable Pho that we ordered. I put some beef in the Vegetable Pho, and it tasted phenomenal. As well, I wanted to add that I don't even like tofu, but the tofu that was in the soup was so fresh and spongy. Nothing like you've ever tasted, in a fabulous, unexpected but tasty way. THE BEEF BROTH WAS AMAZING!!! EVERYTHING I WANTED AND MORE!!! MY NEW GO TO PHO PLACE!!! Shout out to Brittany and your take out crew/staff........for being Extremely hospitable and inviting. ONLY SUGGESTION-I've been in marketing & sales, the restaurant industry, and the hospitality industry for over 32 YEARS. Now I'm in Corporate Real Estate. I've travelled the whole world and what I am telling you is that YOU HAVE THE BEST PHO SOUP I'VE EVER TASTED.......AND I HAD NO IDEA YOU WERE EVEN THERE!!! (and I've been in Westlake for 10 years, and I drive into that parking lot, minimally 3 times a day, for one reason or another). Why is this? How come I didn't know you were there?......Besides the fact that I never googled "Pho Westlake". I'll tell you why......from my experience and expertise, it because of your signage and name. With the name "Lee's Kitchen and Cocktails", I thought you were just another Chinese restaurant, and were loyalists to Chinatown Westlake. Which leads me back to how can we fix this, and generate you more business?! I'll tell you how you do it....I like your name, but I would have your signage company make a BIG black and white, LARGE sign in Italic, that says "PHO". Then have a bowl of soup with chopsticks coming out of it. But minimally a LARGE "PHO" in writing. I'd place it to the right of LEE'S Kitchen and Cocktails. That way every one will know what you serve, when they look at your name. Then I would go on all your social media platforms and ADD "PHO" to your name. Either LEE'S PHO-Kitchen + Cocktails, or something to that effect. LEE'S Kitchen + Cocktails-PHO. Had I seen this on the wall for the last 10 years, 3 times a day, I WOULD HAVE STOPPED, COME IN, AND BEEN YOUR CUSTOMER FOR THE LAST 2 PLUS YEARS. Please take my suggestion to heart and I can't wait to see your business thrive, even more than it already is. With love, Joanne and family

Overall: 3.9/5 [delivery]…read more We always order from Lee's Kitchen and Cocktails whenever we are craving hainan chicken on UberEats. It is on the pricier side compared to other Vietnamese restaurants so it is not something we get too often. Hainan Chicken ($25): Really good and feels like a healthier option. Make sure you use all of the sauce though because that is where the flavor is. It also comes with a broth that is so good we just drank it straight. Honestly better than the pho broth. Chicken Pho with Beef Broth ($23): The shredded chicken was overcooked and the broth was just alright. The portion was generous though.

With a point system to accrue benefits over time, and at each visit, and impressive happy hour specials for both food and drinks, it's hard not to visit more than once. Every member of service either greeted us, or supported our needs with a smile. Calvin, especially, made sure every step of our experience from walking in through ordering was special. While we didn't indulge in the beverages, we enjoyed the $10 burger special which also came with fries! We paired this with a side of a $6 Caesar Salad (really tasty and thrown together with thinly sliced cabbage, roasted chickpeas, and popcorn chicken). Next time, I'd really love to try the truffle mac and cheese (which was also on HH). We weren't aware of the upcharge for swapping out the slice of American for Cheddar (+$1.50), which would've been nice to know ahead of time, since we both got burgers and wondered about the swap...but lesson learned. Also, BIG lesson learned...the parking validation is for only two hours! We were having such a lovely time at Dish Society, but exceeded the 2 hrs (by an extra hour) and got charged a significant amount for parking. Next time, we will certainly park on the street. We tried reasoning with the parking attendant and they wanted no business in understanding we were patrons of the restaurant. It was certainly an unexpected shock, and didn't leave the best final touch of our evening (specifically in that parking garage). It's unfortunate that we got penalized for enjoying our time at dinner.

The bar definitely had plenty of TVs, so if you're sports person. You could easily catch a game while here. One of the Table tents, notified guest of a happy hour for oysters, which I'm not an oyster fan, but hey to each their own. Had to try out the clam chowder and it was one of the best clam chowder I've had quite some time. You could easily taste the clams at a really nice consistency not too thin, not too thick and I didn't even have to add any salt to it. It was just really tasty. When the clam trotter was delivered, I happened to look at what other plates were on the serving tray ready to go out in one of them happen to be this phenomenal salmon dish. I asked the gentleman what it was and he said it was his favorite dish on the menu, so of course had to try it the salmon dish absolutely out of this world the glaze on it side. It came with it. Everything just fit really well together and y'all that plate was clean by the time it went back. This place is definitely on my shortlist as I really would like to try some of their other plates again that salmon and the clam chowder really made an impression and highly rate this place if you're looking for a good seafood place in Austin. The vibe of the restaurant was laid-back, but also very open, clean setting clean lines plenty of light and they even had really clean restrooms. The staff also was very pleasant and friendly with every one I interacted with.

Although I would reorder everything again, these are the following things that I still dream about: crunchy sweet corn fritters, char siew pork belly, smoked shishito queso, and smoked butcher's cut. If you're visiting Austin with friends or family and want a place that offers delicious food, plenty of variety, and a fun, casual vibe, Loro is an easy recommendation. We'll definitely be back.

Chicken karaage was what you would expect, similar to what you get at Japanese places. Portions are big. The sesame rice noodles were highly reviewed but kinda underwhelming. Sauce was surprisingly spicy and the sesame flavor wasn't super obvious. We also tried the rendang beans and rice, which was a creative spin. I always order the espresso martini because it truly hits differently here, along with the chicken heart skewer, which is incredibly rich, tender, and full of flavor. From there, we usually add another appetizer and a protein entrée, whether it's steak or fish, and I honestly haven't had a bad dish yet. Everything is consistently cooked perfectly and feels unique enough to make the meal memorable every time. I was really craving a great salad, so I decided to go in. At first you walk up and order, and then the clerk at the front, like all other places turns the screen around and says "One last question", and then stares at you, while you read their 3 tipping options. So you're standing there, guilted into tipping, by an individual that only pressed a couple of buttons, only to have the kitchen get your order wrong. At an establishment like this, it would be nice if you could tip at the end, after the whole experience, instead of out of obligation at the beginning, because you have an individual begging for it. Anyways. So after I ordered I waited, only to get a $20 salad that had 4 small pieces of chicken and with the Miso dressing which I didn't order. I ordered the Lemon Avocado Vinaigrette which came with no snap peas, when I ordered extra. Then when I finally was able to flag someone down and tell them what had happened, she said "Ok" and went back and got a bowl of snap peas. No "I'm sorry" or "Let us remake it" I wouldn't have had them remake it because I hate wasting food.....but what I hate more is feeling like crap, undervalued and unappreciated. Where was the customer service? If you want a great salad, go here......but don't expect to get what you ordered, after you've been strong armed into tipping, and when you bring it up, expect an eye roll like you're inconveniencing them. I think I'll be taking all my Rollingwood women's group friends, to the new spot for a try......Sweet Green in the HEB parking lot.....or I'll go into HEB and buy a whole rotisserie chicken for $6 and a bag of salad for another $4 and go enjoy two salads at home. For such a casual place, y'all sure act uppity, entitled and as if, you're serving Grey Poupn on top of a Grade A slab of Prime Rib.
