    Pan fried pork dumplings
    Pat C.

Walked in on a Saturday afternoon and got seated immediately. It was not that busy. With relaxing slow jazz in the background, the ambiance was great. Service was quick. Our server Zifan was nice. Food was alright. Combination lomein, pan fried pork dumplings, and Golden Mountain chicken were okay. Crispy pork belly was dry and it tasted funky/weird/gamey. Overall, food was not bad but not the best either.

Peter Chang is a solid spot (both locations). The Scot's Addition location had a friendly waitstaff, a beautiful interior, and fast service. I ordered the Szechuan double cooked Chicken. There was a great portion size and it was well-made. The only thing I can say that is negative is that the parking situation is difficult as it is on Broad nearby a busy intersection and other popular businesses. You may have to walk a little bit!

Fast service and kind server. We came less than an hour before close (I try to not do this if I can help it) but the food was ordered and out within 10 minutes! Very warm and plenty of food. We both upgraded our spice and they use fresh peppers to bring more heat to the dishes. I liked all the veggies in my lomein and the spring rolls were great. There's also a cute interior with red lamps and wall decor.

Looking for an early bite, the fam and I hit up Peter Chang at happy hour. The half price dim sum and small plates gave us the opportunity to sample so many tasty dishes! A surprise favorite was the numbing tofu skin. The sauce covering the tofu skin was delicious and the fresh herbs provided a nice counterpoint. Next up was human fish, which is my must order at Peter Chang. The spice and sweetness balanced each other well and the pea pods were perfectly crisp. We also enjoyed the diced Szechuan shrimp and the dry fried broccoli. The broccoli was probably our least favorite, but it wasn't bad. Our server was so friendly and efficient and the atmosphere was just right- reminiscent of an old school Chinese restaurant while serving food that was anything but. Love this place anytime, but especially happy hour!

The place came recommended by a local who knows how much new yorkers love Chinese / Asian food. It was very nice inside. The food was very delicious. We started with pork belly which had a very interesting texture, not your traditional taste of texture. Loved it but it was a lot for two people. We shared the chicken dish, very tasty and lots of black pepper. Another great choice. I would give food 8/10

First time at this location. They weren't busy so We were seated within a minute of entering the restaurant. The table was clean. The music was not too loud and created just the right vibe. The food came out in excellent time and it was delicious. I even purchase some of their garlic chili sauce. A great dining experience.

The food was delicious. All of our entrees were hot, fresh, and delicious. We returned again the same week because it was so good. The wonton soup is very flavorful. Staff was also very friendly and helpful. The aesthetic is perfect and the facility appears very clean. The only things we would have changed were that the spring rolls were kind of cold, and we found the soup dumplings lacking. The soup dumplings stuck to the leaves and tore apart while trying to eat them. We highly recommend and will return in the future.

I came here to hang out with friends I hadn't seen in years, anddd it was a great idea. I visited a different location a week before and it was great, so seeing the difference was a good way to gauge whether there was a consistent flavor across the franchise. The staff was warm and friendly, even though we arrived an hour before closing. It started raining soon after our arrival and a little drama happened outside, but they made sure everyone was safe inside the restaurant. We ordered Hunan shrimp (a little heavy on the soy sauce), fried dumplings, golden mountain chicken and, Golden mountain beef. The Shrimp was absolutely delicious, and the fried rice accompanying it was tasty too. My friends raved about their dishes and even ordered an extra to take-home for later. Only issue was the server forgot to bring the appetizer out first, the requested sauces, my friend's pot of tea, and the other friend's to go dish (he got it in before the kitchen closed, better late than never). Glad to know there is some good Chinese food in the area after a few long time places closed. I'll be back.

In the order instructions, I asked for the Chinese mustard and duck sauce for the eggrolls, and that was not included in the order. The wonton soup was greasy. The hot spicy pork ribs were tasty and tender. I would only wonder why it has to have so much of the seasoning spices on them to bury it. We were disappointed with the brisket dish. It was plentiful but the seasonings were not our favorite. Also got the fried rice this time where we usually get the white rice. Not a fan of their fried rice. The biggest difficulty I had with the order was that the delivery service which used DoorDash took over an hour to get to us after the order was picked up for delivery. As I'm watching the delivery online in the app, which is a nice service in DoorDash, it did not look like he was coming to us first, and probably dropped two or three orders before us. And then it didn't look like he knew where he was going. Later in the app, I saw that there was a comment that my address was a difficult one to find which I don't understand because it's an apartment in a very central place in town.

I got these for the road: Dry-Fried Eggplant Crispy with a touch of savory spice plus cilantro, really good. Grandma Noodles Wavy noodles in a savory brown sauce with dried pepper and cilantro. Spicy but good spicy. Much better than the last time I had them, they hadn't congealed yet. When I mixed everything together it was great. Pork in Spicy Garlic Sauce Oh yeah. Even with just one spice pepper, this rocks. This is what I remember enjoying from years back. Tender shredded pork in a spicy sauce with garlic and multiple kinds of peppers. Would definitely go back if in the area. Parking was easy in the strip mall next to Walmart. Ordering online was easy and pickup was friendly and quick.

It's like they don't want you to order it. The flavor is just sweet without any complexity. I've had better flavored general Tso sauce from grocery store brands. It was also mushy by the time we ate it. I would never order this again from them.

The entryway is interesting and provides some shelter from the rain, allowing you to manage your umbrella before entering. We were seated within seconds, and our server, Liza, came by very promptly with some water for our table. I felt slightly anxious at first, being that we were in a cozy two-top amongst the fray, but it subsided quickly because everyone was respectful and reasonably quiet. We ordered the veggie spring rolls to start, and I had the Chinatown Ramen, and my partner had the Chicken Fried Noodles. The appetizer was hot, savory, and spicy with the duck sauce and hot mustard mixture. If you like milder sauce, do not mix it. The entrees came out within five or so minutes of the appetizers, which seemed quick for a busy night. The ramen was spicy, hot, and filling. I was only able to finish about half. We will be enjoying those leftovers tonight. My partner said that her noodles and chicken were well-seasoned and delicious, too. Looking around the restaurant, it is clear that they support the local LGBTQ+ community, and it is even labeled as a Safe Space on the beautifully manicured, makeshift chalkboard/menu/posting board. The clientele and staff alike seemed warm and kind, based solely on limited interactions and observation on my part. If you are looking for a traditional American-Chinese food restaurant (think buffet-style items), this is likely not the place for you. There were no mishaps or snafus with our orders. Liza performed her duties well, and I can surely recommend this restaurant to anyone who doesn't mind a mix of Japanese and Chinese cuisine.

It isn't an exaggeration to say our whole family LOVED it! We went back today to find that they no longer served poke bowls and only had boring Chinese food. We were hungry so we stayed anyway. The General Tao Chicken and fried rice was some of the worst I have ever had. Rice is flavorless. Chicken was too sweet and not good quality meat. The Beef with mixed vegetables was terrible. Only thing decent was the egg drop soup. Service Don't have any complaints. They are nice and helpful. Ambiance Nothing special has a few tables to sit at. Decor is boring. Place is clean enough. I had only planned on spending $60 or so but ended up spending $140 including a great tip for my waiter. I got the Fried Chicken Banh Mi, Dan Dan Noodles, and my guest ordered the Brisket Pho, and Singapore noodles alongside a Mojito and their coconut ice cube drink (blanking on the name). I loved every bite of my food. The Daikon Radish was the highlight of the Banh Mi and I was in love with every bite. Visibly dancing and gleaming with joy while eating + the great music being played also helped. I didn't eat my sandwich until it got cold as I like to finish a dish before trying another. I started with the Dan Dan noodles and had to drink 3 of the liters of water by myself to finish my meal . I took my guest's peppers and my peppers and crushed them up into my Dan Dan plate with all the seeds that came with them. In addition I also used all the chili oil paste it came with as well. It was so damn great I enjoyed every second. My guest loved their pho and didn't stop eating it and ate half of their Singapore noodles before getting full and having to take it home. They absolutely loved their drinks and it was so fun to watch the bartender make the drinks. Two shakers in hand mixing the drinks and oh boy were they strong . We will definitely be back!!! Oh and they also had chopsticks for us to use and we ate our entire meal with them. I knew I was in for a whirlwind of flavor when the ethnicities of the cooks matched the restaurant and patrons of color from Pakistani, Black, Indian, Korean, Thai, and more were dining in . Only downsides for me personally were the Singapore noodles but it wasn't my dish. I tasted them and didn't think they were for me I usually prefer a different ratio of seasoning for my Singapore noodles. My guest whose favorite dish is Singapore noodles quite adored them. Though they did say the Singapore noodles I make at home are better they still crushed it and the next morning woke up and crushed the rest with a smile on the face . Only thing I didn't like was the pho but that's my personal taste getting in the way. I don't like fish based broths but my guest ate every single last dropped and loved it! So if that's your alley go for it!!! 10/10 will try again!!! P.S. please tip the staff graciously they work so hard. If you're going to order a $100 worth of food don't be the person not tipping or tipping $10 when the service was excellent. The serving of the appetizer was quite large for two people, we couldn't finish it all. I ordered the curry laksa. I usually stray away from coconut based curries because they tend to be too sweet, but I enjoyed this curry. The base is creamy and balances well with the savory/tangy flavors, and the veggies are fresh. The server brought out chili crisp upon request. The kung pao tofu glaze was a bit on the sweeter side and not as good. The sweet glaze on fried tofu made it taste almost like a French toast.
