It's been a while since my last visit to Peter's Pizza, several years, in fact. Ordered a cheese slice the other day. Slice had a slight floury taste to it, still doughy also, like I recalled from years ago. Stiff crust. Being a pizza aficionado, I'd say Peter's Pizza is a slight grade above gas station pizza. It will get you by in a pinch, fill you up, but it's not good pizza. I have to disagree with most of the other reviewers, they need to take ride down to New Haven and sample some decent pizza. C'mon, you live in Connecticut, you should know what quality pizza tastes like ! read more

I asked them if they could make a heart shaped pizza for my boyfriend on Valentine's day. Gentleman who took the order said "no problem!" Great service! The pizza looked awesome and came with generous amount of toppings! It tasted amazing along with the cheesy garlic bread, chicken tenders, and cheesecake! Classic CT pizza! Look it up CT had some of the first American pizza and this place does that justice. We had simple cheese and pepperoni pies for my sons birthday and they went above and beyond for us. Great guys great pizza and great service. We had a kids birthday at the nearby paintball place and they suggested Pete's. Pouring rain mid session and I called to see if they would seat us. They normally do just take out and delivery but offered to seat the whole party impromptu! What?!?! So awesome, particularly with December rain! Those boys were ready for that hot pizza. Delicious pizza they also serve lunch and dinner meals! My sons favorite pizza joint ! They do serve the HUGE delicious dinners and have good prices staff is friendly and they had a great waiter/delivery guy he was super kind and very attentive !! Just ordered 2 pizzas from here, both cheese (always the safe way to go when ordering pizza from a place you've never been), one thick, one classic. The taste is really good, BUT, we ordered extra cheese on both, and we barely got any cheese at all. Granted, we ordered through Uber Eats for the first time, so maybe Peter's didn't see it, but extra cheese for each large pizza is $3.49, so we're out $7.00 (not to mention all of the deliveries fees etc.). The pizza arrived hot and fast, though, and they really do taste great. Might be back after the pandemic when we can order directly, pick up ourselves, and complain right then and there if they skimp on the cheese! read more

i ordered baked ziti and it was penne with mozzarella. no much ricotta and NO sauce. had a side of garlic bread which was very inexpensive. however, the garlic flavor was kinda gross as well as the "marinara" that came with it. not trying to be a karen i just don't want you guys to be disappointed like me :( read more

Got the pizza delivered and it was just average. Nothing special sauce was bland and cheese. Crust not crispy and all needs to be cooked more. Overall really basic. Will go back to my regular pizza place way better. read more

I stopped by once before, back when they first opened and picked up a cheese pizza on my way home one day for my kids (who were still living home at the time, but since moved out!). I didn't get to try it that time, but they seemed to enjoy it. Yesterday it was my god daughters birthday and I wanted to take my family out for dinner. I said let's go to "XXXX" place, and my cousin, who has been to Peter's and ordered delivery from here before suggested Peter's instead. I was open to where ever they suggested. So, at 2 pm, the 8 of us stepped into Peter's and were immediately greeted by the staff. They have tables and a big area for parties, however, this isn't your typical table side service type of place. The process is, you go up to the counter, order and grab a bottled drink from the cooler and they will bring your food out to you. Well, I intended on having pizza, but the menu is so vast that we all decided on other items besides pizza from the menu. I had the turkey club grinder with fries and the rest of my party ordered whatever they wanted. For 9 people to come to a place, enjoy a good meal and have plenty of leftovers to take home for $98 is unheard of! Is only about $10 per person. My aunt is allergic to tomatoes, and the staff made her a special eggplant grinder (without sauce) but with peppers, onions and cheese that she can't stop talking about. My little cousin ordered a meatball and sausage calzone and it was HUGE and stuffed!!! He could only eat half of it! There is great value here at Peter's. You get a lot of quality food for your money. The staff is friendly and very competent and the place is clean as well. We order delivery often from another place in the area, but that is about to change since the other place is just "okay' and a little more pricey, but we have been loyal to the convenience of the delivery service. Came down with a few friends last week, it was late at night and we had no expectations, just wanted some pizza. And as soon as we walked in, I felt at home. We sat down and was greeted with a smile. The food was fast and delicious. The service was probably the best i've seen, everybody was so patient and kind. We were outstandingly pleased. As we finished, we didn't feel rushed to pay and leave. We sat around for a little while longer. But as conversations came to an end, we paid and left a generous tip. As we were walking out I turned and said "Thank you." and got a "Come again soon!". Pizza was really good, the sauce wasn't too sweet which I always see as a downside to a pizza. We got a bacon and roasted red pepper and the toppings were plentiful, no skimping at all. Unlike the other review, I prefer the bacon in large pieces, I like to see how much I am getting. The really big find in this place for us was the WINGS!!! My husband and I were searching for the longest time for a place that serves the hot wings the way we like them. No breading and done saucy, we do not like the hot wings that are made hot using spices, we much prefer wings that have the "Red Hot" type sauce smothered on and these fit the bill nicely! The wings were also very meaty and the blue cheese dressing was not a packet of Ken's salad dressing, it actually was GREAT blue cheese served on the side in a to-go container. We will definitely be back because of the wings and as a result we will continue to get the pizza there too! read more
