I've been living in the Hollydale area for 20+ years. This place was so good growing up. Over time this place has gone down. The place still looks the same. The food has changed drastically. Burgers have no taste. Chili cheese fires aren't the same. The cheese isn't even melted when you get it. Food is always served cold. If I could give it a no star I would. Not sure if it's under new management theses last few years but they have really changed this place for the worst. I recently called to place an order and the lady I spoke to couldn't understand anything I said. I don't know if it was too loud or she didn't understand English. I asked for a Bacon and Egg sandwich and she thought I said steak???? Not only that! I ordered a Pastrami sandwich and asked if they can cook it a little more (because I like my food well cooked) THEY CHARGED ME $1.69 EXTRA TO COOK IT MORE. This place is unbelievable! The prices are ridiculous for cold food. Really sad to see the place go down. This place used to be good. I would get steak tacos chicken tacos breakfast burritosand my favorite chili cheese fries in all of Los Angeles. Yes better than tams and any other mom and pop burger stand. Better than the hat too. But $7.60 for chili cheese fries?!? Quality has gone down and price steadily goes up. Forget it. I won't ever come back. The drive thru has the slowest most inaccurate service and honestly I've never seen so many rude patrons at once placeI'll stick to franchise fast food from now on. Large portions; what you would expect from a local hamburger spot. I've had the burgers and wasn't impressed. The asada isn't anything to write home about. But to my suprise...you have to try the chicken burrito; they pack it with chicken cube/chunks which was VERY filling. You get more fries than your going to finish and the seasoning is helpful although a bit sparse; ask for more sprinklings of the flavor stuff. In short... EAT CHICKEN burritos here. Pete's Burger stand of the originals that is still cranking out a decent hamburger and fries. I've been there before having tasted their pastrami sandwiches which are truly a delicious treat. But this time I wanted to try something different so I opted to have the double bacon cheeseburger with french fries. There is a lot that needs to be said about a good charbroiled hamburger. It just has the greatest flavor and Pete's charbroiled burger does not disappoint. French fries with my hand a little bit too much seasoning this time around I will chalk that up to me. Because I forgot to tell the person not to put so much seasoning salt on my french fries. But as a french fry lover you will really enjoy their french fries. The ladies that work there are so helpful, the manager/owner not sure, he acts like the boss is a little rude when he is busy. I've come here a few times and have to say that their parking structure is weird. The line to go in the drive thru is weird. Let me elaborate on why it's weird. The passengers side receives the food in the drive thru, the line to get into the drive thru is so small that it causes backup on the street, and the food is ok. Been going here since i was young and stopped going because the food and performance changed. This burger joint did surprise me, despite the negative reviews i read before ordering from them. I guess i must of been lucky. Anyways, the drive-thru wait did take forever before ordering. But it was a Friday night, and i noticed lots of trucks/suvs, therefore families, friends, couples I suppose all ordering lots of food. Me being a guy and just myself only, I ordered a double-cheeseburger combo. Have to say... the burger was pretty big , done well and delicious. Either i was given a second fry by mistake or my fries were really topped-off, crispy and also delicious. The drink normal as usual. Overall... I had a full meal that I enjoyed to the crumb. This place is so good I can't give it enough stars. I've had their breakfast burritos, hamburgers, French fries, chilli cheese fries and other things. First the hamburgers they are just as if not more tasty than Inn N Out burgers and they are large like the $6 burgers from Carl's Jr. When you order chili cheese fries make sure that's all you order otherwise you'll have lots of leftovers. My brother was asking the cashier girl if their was anyway they can make a chorizo omelette because he didn't see it on the menu. The girl cashier looked confused like if he wasn't speaking English. The cook that has gray hair and black glasses looks to be the owner said in a very rude way "guys the menu is right their" and turned around. Obviously we looked at the menu.... The cashier made rude faces after making changing on the screen. One other cook had to explain what to do on the screen in order to get what my brother wanted. Idk how hard it is to make an adjustment, at the end of the day it is your job to provide customer service and if your lazy to make changes when theirs errors well then maybe she shouldn't be cashier. I've been coming here for years. the food has always been pretty decent, but unfortunately, the service has severely gone down. the girls who work the drive thru always have a bad attitude or or no personality. look, I'm not expecting them to have a conversation with me, just be polite. you're in the service business, that's your job. usually I can ignore the poor attitudes because the food (mainly the fries) hasn't really failed me and the sheer convenience. today, I ordered a BLT combo and when I went to open the bag there was a foul smell coming from it. I literally gagged opening the bag. no joke or exaggeration. the best way to describe the smell is it was like raw chicken that was left outside for a couple of days. I thought, damn they must've messed up our order and gave us a (smelly) chicken sandwich. nope. the smell came from the fries. that's the only thing they usually get right!! my only guess is that the oil was really REALLY old or they fried some old chicken. the oder was so horrible that we had to throw all the fries out, then throw the trash out because the smell lingered. it's a real shame this place has gone so down hill cuz it used to be the spot. read more

Best hidden gem burger joint around. Been here multiple times and never had a problem with any of the food orders or the customer service. Everything from their burger specials to their mexican food is pretty good for a fast food place. Only problem i have with this place is the drive thru. Very good food! I have only gotten sick once here when I had a burger but I've been coming here since I was 5 years old and the food quality is always delicious! I looked on Yelp and this place had great reviews. So I decided to try it. WELL...I was not disappointing. The burgers here are so good!! The fries are great! My god, they do not skimp on the fries, I can tell you that. I usually order a Bacon Cheeseburger Special with no tomato or pickles, Fries well done. And they always come through!
