The first two times I took my dog in they did an amazing job. It was cut exactly as I requested. I was so happy I had found a groomer who it seemed was trustworthy. THIRD TIMES A CHARM. Dropped of my dog at 10 am yesterday and told them to cut it exactly as they had a few months before. They looked at their card with notes and asked if I wanted him shaved. NO. Cut it short like before, rounded face, full tail, slight ear trim. OK. 11 am they called and went over the cut again. One again asking if I wanted him shaved. Once again I said NO. 1:15 they called and said he was done. Upon arrival I hand them my card to pay and the get my dog. HE WAS SHAVED. They told me it was a misunderstanding and they were sorry. I asked for my money back and they said no, I had asked for short and it was short. Drove home. My dog keeps scratching himself and licking the base of his tail where the hair is extra short. My very playful dog just sat on the floor doing nothing. I called and spoke with them about it again. Once again they wouldn't refund my money. After telling them I would contact the bank and have the payment canceled they told me to come back and they would refund. When I walked in they didn't say a word to me, just handed me the void slip to sign. My dog doesn't want to go outside now and doesn't want to eat. Maybe he's embarrassed that he's naked. p.s. STAY AWAY. If you love your pet, do not even think about bringing them here. I asked for a trim, and when i went to pick up my dog, i literally did not recognize him. She (Owner, Julie) had completely shaved him down, left him exposed, he had cuts & irritation from razor burns all over his private area and thighs, even after i specifically asked her to be careful around those areas. He was terrified, was crying, and had a complete change in personality after the grooming. In short, I have no idea how this groomer is still in business and it is NOT WORTH risking your dogs well being for a $50 groom. read more

The haircut could have been much worse but also much better. I asked for a summer cut - 1/4". I said it multiple times and my dog came back out with a longer cut, they said they couldn't do her legs or her ears because she moved too much. She was covered in loose hair that they didn't brush out or blow dry. Two weeks later I get a voicemail telling me my dog is ready to pick up.... She's sitting right next to me at home. They seem to be very disorganized and hopefully whatever dog they just finished grooming gets picked up. read more

BEWARE...THEY HIT DOGS. If I could give this place 0 starts I would. First of all, my dog had an appointment here. I tried finding parking in the front, but I couldn't. So I parked in the back area, and decided to walk in from the back. I stood there saying hello, but the 2 ladies didn't see me or hear me because they had the blow dryer on. The dog noticed me, and barked. That's when the lady hit the dog with the brush. My heart sank, and I started shaking tremendously. I immediately went back to my car, and almost cried of terror. I didn't know what to do. I tried to wait as much as I can to wait for the owner to pick up the dog to let them know what I had witnessed. Do not come here. I was a loyal customer, until I brought in 3 of dogs for grooming and they called me a few hours later to tell me that they lost one of my dogs! I hurried over to find them all sitting on their asses and not out finding my dog! They told me they looked for the dog and waited for an hour before they decided to call me! Most places would call when it happens and not call an hour later! I showed up with my brother, and then they got scared and made posters. I ran around the neighborhood calling for the dog for 4 hours and my brother drove around for 4 hours. We told them if they don't find the dog, that they owe us for the price of the dog. But they had the nerve to call up my ex bf (he referred me to them) and asked him to tell us not to sue them! What nerve! And it's happened a few times also, they will snip my dogs a little close and not tell me. read more

This place was recommended to me by someone who grew up in the area, as the best priced groomer in town - she wasn't lyin! Every other groomer quoted me $80+, or refused to groom my dog altogether bc he's elderly - new one to me, but understandable. Bc of this, I tried to make it a million % clear that my dog is not to be kenneled. (Where are the cage free groomers in LA??) They use kennels so I booked the first appt of the day so he could get started right away, and I expressed I would be back right on time so he wouldn't have to be placed in a kennel. Everything went well until I left him and went to my car and heard my dog screaming bloody murder - he was put in a kennel. I made it abundantly clear, again!, he was not to be placed in there again. I arrived a little after he was done so he was briefly placed in a kennel when I arrived, I realize they can't have dogs running around. But geeze, my one fu%#ing request! Anyway, I'll go back bc I'm broke and my dog's hair looked great. If your dog is used to kennels, then I would highly recommend this place. Did an amazing job grooming my maltipoo, Peanut. Had to get a very close shave as her hair was extremely matted but it was very well done and even, and the fur on her head was done much better than expected. The first time I called this place, they told me that they charge $40 for small dogs. My puppy was 4 months old at the time. I took him in, and they charged me $45, for a full cut, wash, and groom, stating, that he wasn't small. He's a Maltese/Havanese mix. He's small. So I paid her $45, and left. After some time, she called saying my pup was ready for pick up. I picked him up, took him home, and he spent the next two days whining, crying and scratching his ears. When I looked inside his ear, he had an infection. He didn't have one when I took him in. They groomed him well, but also give him an ear infection. I spent another $80 just for his meds. read more

I don't get my dog groomed here, but they do trim his nails. He can be a little tricky - he's scared of the groomer and tends to struggle - but they handle it in stride. They are patient and firm and get the job done well - and my pup leaves with his tail wagging. Can't beat their prices and service! read more

PLEASE READ DO NOT TAKE YOUR PETS! I have been a customer of theirs for over 7 years and have always highly recommended them to my friends and others. Even after they were responsible for my best friends dogs ear infection I still was a loyal customer for the owner Julie. Over the years I have noticed the people they hire are very aggressive and not compassionate to these helpless animals, well today it happened to my dog. They nipped him very deeply with the clippers causing an open wound when I walked him out I noticed blood on his back. Not only did they hurt him but not inform me of it. I took him to the vet and went back with the bill the owner Julie treated me like a stranger and was very cold refusing to pay for their negligence. Please do not I repeat do not take you loved pets there they are very aggressive. My poor son was tramatized and hurt, no helpless animal deserves that. Do not take your pets here please! I use to bring my dog here all the time whenever he needed a grooming session because prices aren't bad. I never thought anything about how they would never let me stay inside the store and wait for my baby to be done. After I'd come back to pick him up he'd come out shaking and so scared and would try to hide behind me. Again I didn't think anything about it because he never liked getting his nails or his hair cut. But the last time I took him he got such a horrible ear infection. He was in such horrible pain. After a visit to the vet they told me that whoever had been taking care of him had been mistreating him and had not cleaned his ears in a correct way. So I stopped taking him to this place and my mom found another place that is on Santa Monica and St Andrews. It's called Remy's Grooming inside another store called fashion place. Although it might look a bit sketchy I can promise this place is the best! My dog is always so happy to see the lady who grooms him. He's never come out shaking or terrified like before and they let me stay and watch with out a problem. This new place I'm going to is certainly the best! So please watch out for these ladies and Petian because I can guarantee they certainly do not care about your pets. Especially when they sell puppies who come from horrible dog mills.
