This morning I went to feed my dogs their eagerly awaited breakfast meal and found a live moth worm in it. I'd purchased a 33 lb bag of Purina Pro Plan kibble about 2 weeks ago, and store it in a Simple Human sealed pet-food container--and I'm religious about keeping clean and locked tight. When I investigated further, I realized there was some mold as well. So the dogs were going bananas wanting their food and I was worried about having spent $80 on a month's worth of food that is now wormy and moldy. I called Petco and spoke with Taylor, he immediately said to come in and he'd get me a new bag in an even exchange. (PHEW!) He explained that Purina has this issue. After I got off the phone I googled it and read stories that people shared about with this exact issue. (STRESS!) I've been feeding my dogs this for years, they have had episodes of vomiting but I thought it was the heat. But this suddenly made me wonder if this has been the cause and I just haven't noticed bugs or mold before. (Note: my one dog vomited just yesterday, then today I find this). So I definitely wanted a different brand of food. At Petco, Taylor was super helpful--I research everything and have lots of questions--it didn't phase him and he was extremely patient with me. He is educated on all the food, and was able to answer all of my questions, and made it all so easy and stress-free. I went in feeling anxious that I had to deal with suddenly switching and finding a new food for my fur babies, and left feeling relieved and thrilled about the outstanding customer service. It cemented my trust in Petco! Highly recommend this store!

She spent 10 days at Rob's Dogs in the hybrid board/train program. Joel has been very helpful to help us understand her behaviors and how to manage them. She is much improved and getting better every day. We have several training sessions left that I look forward to helping her learn new skills. Rob's Dogs facility in North Scottsdale is very nice. They give excellent care to the dogs who are boarded for training or boarded for vacations.

I was super impressed with how Rob's Dogs handled my visit and was blown away by their facility, the friendliness and professionalism of the staff, and was happy that my meeting was with Rob himself. It is a big investment to work with Rob's Dogs but there are a few different ways to do so (that include with and without boarding). Whether now with this dog, or in the future for training, I will absolutely consider going with Rob / Rob's Dogs.

This was my first time ever boarding my dogs, and I only scheduled this stay because I had an unexpected family death. Naturally, I was already stressed, and this experience made things worse. When I dropped my dogs off, the front desk employee was working alone. While I understand being busy, the entire check-in process was very disorganized and frustrating. After taking my dogs to the back, she spent time inventorying my items, answering calls, and helping other customers--without once acknowledging me or letting me know I was free to go. I stood there for about 15-20 minutes with no communication, only to eventually be told she didn't need anything else from me. During my dogs' two-night stay, I received zero updates--no messages, photos, or report cards, despite those being features listed in their system. As a first-time boarding experience, this was especially concerning and left me wondering how my dogs were doing the entire time. Pickup was just as disappointing. While bringing my dogs out, one of them got her foot stuck in the doorway and was yelping in pain, and the employee continued pulling her on the leash instead of stopping to help. I was handed my dogs quickly with no update on how they did during their stay. The dogs also smelled so bad when we got them, I had to immediately bathe them when I got home. Overall, the lack of communication, attentiveness, and basic care was very upsetting--especially given the circumstances that led me to need their services in the first place. I had another boarding appointment already scheduled for April which I canceled and will not be returning or recommending this facility.
