Placed a very simple delivery order which is my go to order anytime I order pizza. What I received was my order except it had meatballs on it. When I called the shop back to let them know they stated that they would give me a credit - instead of redelivering the pizza I asked and paid for - and they were obstinent that I had in fact asked for meatball. BEWARE of the BACON and onion pizza !!! The bacon tasted like it was made days ago. I have worked in restaurants for 23 years and I truly know what I'm talking about. I wanted to give them another chance I tried to talk to them about this and yes they admitted they do cook the bacon every few days I asked them if I could get the pizza with fresh bacon and not bacon that tasted old. the person who claimed he was a manager-said that his bacon is cooked in batches every few days and they were not accommodating nor did he seem to concerned. Came for trivia night on Wednesday which was my first time at this trivia. It was more of a laid back crowd but that didnt affect the quality of the trivia. It was over within an hour though I thought it would've lasted 2 hours. The food is always good, like a hidden gem in Madison. Quick stop after doing some thrifting for a beer and a bite to eat. Not many people there, though it was early. A few people at the bar chatting away and watching NASCAR. Ordered wings, salad and a large pizza. The wait staffer looked at us funny for ordering a traditional pie, sauce and grated cheese, oh well. Salad was large, wings were very good. In a plaza with plenty of parking and next to a emergency Vet just in case your looking for some food while waiting for your pet to be done . They had my pup inside while waiting longer times then usual ,so my BFF & I popped into the bar to check it out . Really nice inside with a few tables to sit at ,but we chose the bar . I have been here a few times and wanted to say I am happy to see the progress here. The pizza is getting better for non-New Haven and took some pictures to share in review. The cheese and sauce quality has improved as well as the dough. Cheese had a crisp crust and no flop...Prices are fair-good and always grab some Foxon Park White Birch Beer to wash it down. My boss is obsessed with Petrillo's Pizza. Whenever we're lucky enough for our boss to treat all of us to pizza for lunch (not very often) you can bet it's going to be Petrillo's. I must admit I've never voluntarily gone to Petrillo's or called for delivery. Every time I've eaten their pizza, it was free lunch at the expense of my boss. I greatly appreciate the generosity, and i want to tell you that free pizza always tastes the best...but it doesn't. The pizza here is good, but not anything extraordinary. I sometimes wonder why the boss doesn't branch out and try other places, but I haven't asked. I'm just grateful...not everyone can say their boss orders them their own vegan pie. read more

I gave specific directions to leave at the side of the house, no contact delivery. Owner let his 14 year old grandson to deliver to the front of the house who knocked at the door. The dogs upstairs were disturbed enough to break through a window. The child then proceeded to keep knocking on side door after glass was broken. It was clearly stated to leave at side door. Can't vouch for the pizza but my wife enjoyed her Petrillo's salad with grilled chicken, mixed greens, cucumbers, roasted peppers, carrot strips, grape tomatoes, mandarin oranges, dried cranberries, fresh mozzarella cheese, croutons & gorgonzola cheese. Due to Covid 19, and family decisions, we were stuck last minute without Thanksgiving family dinner. After hearing that the only turkeys available in supermarkets were either 12 pound plus or frozen turkeys--and that wasn't going to work a couple days prior. Fortunately the Madison Chamber of Commerce sent out an eblast announcing Petrillo's Pizza offering Thanksgiving dinner available on Thanksgiving Day. This was after I was trying to search for take out meals to no avail. So my family questioned me, "Thanksgiving dinner from a pizza place?" From the moment I called, I was met with kindness from the people with whom I spoke. They were equally as nice helping us bring our meals to the car. Petrillo's Pizza is one of the few restaurants that still delivers in this area and have always delivered a great meal. The lasagna is one of the best I have tasted since my Mom's and that is saying a lot! The subs are stuffed with fresh meats and the pizza is a regular purchase. The few times that I have eaten at the restaurant, the service was excellent and the bartender kept my beverage filled. If I had a "complaint" it would be that they could improve on the dessert menu which is limited and what they do serve is usually a small portion for the price. I don't know what it is, but there's always a certain smell whenever I open a box of their pizza. It could be garlic. It could be something else. But whatever it is, it doesn't smell nice. Do pizzas fart? Petrillo's recently moved to the west side of Madison. I wish them lots of luck because the Red Tomato is a stone's throw away and Nick/Tonys and Avest Pizza are down the road. It's not like that part of town was begging for a new pizza joint. Too bad their pizza is the worst one of the bunch. What's really weird is that they didn't change anything about the old Lowery's. Lowery's is the pub that used to occupy this location. The wall decorations are exactly the same. Even the neon beer signs in the windows are the same. It appears Petrillo's didn't spend a cent in making the place look any different. Maybe that's intentional to retain the former customers, but it's just plain weird. At the very least they could have put up a sign that says Buon Appetito. But with the fact that their pizza tastes more like Greek pizza than Italian pizza, my guess is the owners aren't Italian (although oddly Petrillo is an Italian name). read more

Ordered pizza to be delivered to HBSP. Pizza was delivered in the time they stated. Driver called and met us at the main entrance gate once he arrived. Petrillos is one of my favorite pizza places in the madiosn guilford area! Usually every time I order pizza here it is cooked well and there are a good amount of toppings asf well. They always deliver on time if not earlier than said time, this also goes for pick up as well. Their prices are also fairly resonable, especially for their large specialty pizzas which are really good. Although they have been a couple times that I have gotten take out pizza that just seemed like it was made with no care at all, but this is rare, and usually it's really good. Overall I suggest ghis plave for pizza! Suggestion: if you get take out be there on or before the time they say it will be ready, because it will usually be ready at that time and you don't want it sitting of top of the stove for a while. Rainy, dreary Sunday, we stopped in for lunch. Sat at a hightop in the bar and ordered 1 app (calamari) and a meatball sandwich. Both were very satisfying, nice marinara sauce and were accompanied with french fries.The bartender took good care of us throughout our meal. If you live in the local area check out their coupons online or in the local publications. As an aside, a principle of Salute Vodka a Madison resident, was in the restaurant and bought us each a drink. It was the 1st time I tasted it. I'm hooked! My wife and two young boys came here with my parents on a Saturday night in early July. I ordered a medium burger which came out very well done. Also the bun was toasted so hard that I had to ask for a second as it was cutting my gums. My wife's burger was the exact same. My mother ordered the fried clams which were undercooked and made her horribly sick later in the evening. The bill came out to over $100 for 4 adults and 2 children. Came here mid afternoon for lunch, waiter was unfriendly and didn't even make eye contact while we were ordering. First we were handed paper plates to eat off of. Then he was too busy eating his own food to ask how our meal was or refill our drinks. And we called from the table 4 times for the check finally having to walk over to the bar to get his attention.
