When I walked in on my first time there was a lot of people which raised my expectations. Sweet fries were good. I ordered the garlic brea (nothing special) and the Vanetian Wrap (eggplant, cheese, and peppers) It was dropping in grease, heavy and I could not eat it. Our waitress was impersonal and awkward. Great friendly personal service. Greek burger delicious although a bit salty from Feta Cheese. Son had pizza which was good and husband had steak tips that were not medium cooked as requested and a bit chewy and pcs a bit large. Rhode Island clam chowder worth ordering. read more

I love Petrillo's Pizza! Everyone is super nice and I have always felt welcomed. Being surrounded by so many pizza places by my school, this is by far the best. My personal favorite item that they have is their mozzarella sticks. Anytime I have the chance to eat their pizza, I am always so excited. Can't wait to go back! read more

I grew up in Madison my whole life and my 2 favorite pizza places were always Petrillo's (And now it's a pub and grill with a dining room too!!! :-) Beside that they've been opened for 25 years and is the longest running pizza place in Madison should speak for itself, their pizza and calzones are always amazing and the large calzones can feed a person for a week, easily!! Right now my favorite pizzas they make are their buffalo chicken white pizza, or their Hawaiian pizza with bacon/ham/and pineapple on either red or white, another favorite is their white bacon and broccoli with some extra garlic. Their delivery service shines through when compared to competitors in town or surrounding towns, food is always hot and on time, one time they forgot a soda and brought instantly back to my house, I was amazed how much the drivers care about making sure their customer is satisfied and so we always give a $5-10 tip depending on what we order, $5 at minimum. I'm a sandwich guy, not a wrap guy but my girl says the wraps are great, I'm a huge fan of the pastrami nightmare and the Reuben, plus the buffalo wings are epic. All their fried sides are great too: 2 diff kinds of fried mozz (sticks or squared), fried pickles, above average French fries, amazing sweet potato fries, and great fried calamari too. The other place was Village Pizza in downtown Madison (for good Greek pizza), but they burned down a few years ago and ANOTHER "cookie cutter/pizza by numbers" 'grand pizza' opens up in what was village pizza's location. Such a disappointment this tiny place tried to operate as a sit down restaurant, and any time I've tried delivery from the place that replaced village pizza's location the drivers were rude, extremely young (almost hit the expensive retaining wall in my driveway off island ave. in Madison and had to ask me to guide him) AND food was cold, (and island avenue is less than 1.5 miles from my house. Oh! I almost forgot about the dinner specials at Petrillos Pizza Pub & Grill! Which they also deliver as well. I honestly suggest any of the dinners, they're always amazing and they always come with their signature homemade Italian bread, and a side salad, even with the deliveries, or even extra bread instead of the salad if you ask for that! (Which is what I do, lol). In closing, amazing place, great atmosphere, friendly managers, great bar to hang out at with friends (screwdrivers made with fresh squeezed o.j. Made in front of you) and a great local beer selection on tap. The prices are great, and you can totally tell the food quality does not suffer because of it. read more

Stuck to my diet all day, eagerly awaiting pizza dinner to celebrate my moms birthday. All 6 dinner guests were so disappointed. Pizza arrived cold and dry. Many slices had 3 inches of plain, dry crust with no toppings. Worst part is, this isn't the first time we've has this issue. We complained before about the same issues but not much has changed. The food is decent the prices are great. There is a full service bar and The staff are attentive and friendly. What more could you ask for.

Their claim that they're (probably?) the best pizza in the state is shattered with one bite. The fact that they would even make that claim amazes me. It's really tough to ruin pepperoni pizza but, not only is the sauce not very good, they put way too much on it. We call them, at least, once a year to see if things improved since last time. So this year we ordered a calzone and made the incredible mistake of ordering it with eggplant. White mush that looked or tasted nothing like eggplant. Granted, maybe we should have gone with something meaty but the horrid sauce would not have saved it anyway. Guilford and Madison are quickly becoming the place(s) to go for real New Haven pizza. Places like Grand Apizza and Nick's Famous Pizza (nee Nuzzo's) rival the best that New Haven has to offer. Even places you wouldn't expect, like New Haven Pizza on route 79 ,by the golf range, also puts out a most excellent pie, although they don't deliver. Petrillos does offer speedy delivery and the delivery people are cordial (of course we always tip well), but that's hardly enough to recommend them. Go a little farther up the road (avoiding the Red Tomato) and perhaps you will find the best Apizza in the state. It's just not Petrillos. read more

If I could leave less than 1 star, I would. Horrible customer service. Owner doesn't care about the customer. Will not give them any more business. Fortunately there are 7 other pizza places in Madison. Try RedTomato or New Haven Pizza for better pizza and service. That's what we will do. read more

Placed a pickup order for one medium pizza, called back to cancel less than 2 minutes later, was told it was already in the oven and I apologized that we couldnt make it there in time... And was told "not to call back again" in an extremely rude tone. Not giving them our business again! read more
