Unbelievable! Petsmart is now charging $11.00 more for a bath and only express wash. Which means they will only take my dog in the early morning. This increase and express wash policy for short haired dogs, they say, they do not know why. I do, short haired dogs do not require shearing. So they take less time. This is a way for this company to book more $$$ high dollar grooming. Discrimination in the canine world! Pathetic! I take her religiously, every 2 weeks! I will be re-thinking that habit! So disappointed! So for a basic bath, and less than 20 minutes of their time they are charging me $33.00! read more

When there's 6 people you can see working and one other customer who is already being helped by someone, you would think it would be really easy to find someone to help you. I had to ask someone three times and was continuously told someone would be right over to help me. Spending an hour for what should have been a five minute trip is always great. Next time I'll try another store since your conversations were more important than your job.a read more

Had to add another update because they now no longer sell the dog food I buy online anymore here, so now they are only good for grooming. 5 stars still for groomers and grooming, but 1 for store/company as a whole. Doesn't matter that I can't buy food from them since other competitors now sell the large & small bags of food I get. Plus they are cheaper than online price and definitely cheaper than at store price here at PerSmart. Let's just say the larger competitor next door to this place has the dog food I get now and offers self checkout. read more

My wife and I had the worst experience. We took our puppy in for a first visit. Everything went well at first. When we were about to pay for our visit they kept telling us we needed a credit card. Would not let us pay in cash. After we kept telling them we didn't have a debit/credit card with us they told us well you can go home and get one and your wife can stay and wait till you come back with your card. So while I was driving back home to get our card they kept harrassing my wife asking when I was gonna be back. She told them they would have to wait. We live 15 minutes away so if it takes 15 minutes home and 15 back to the store how long Do you think it's going to take. The get tech then sighed. Once I arrived she told us oh you have cash, you can pay but it's going to be well over 100 dollars. Like implying we didn't have money. I am a proud mexican American. So when she gave me our receipt in Spanish and I asked why I got my receipt in Spanish she said opps let me fixed that. She gave me a new one in english and have me attitude. Told me next time make sure to have our card. She had dread locks. About 5ft 4inches. Didn't look to see her name because by this time we were ready and done being treating like shit. So if they would have just let me pay in cash in the beginning they would still had a customer and a new patient but too Damn bad. Very bad guest services. Will never go back. I go to pet smart all the time because they have all my pets needs! I get my dog food, dog toys, and much more from there. They have a large variety of options for pets and a large variety of different brands for different pets. If you are needing to find a good place for your pets needs, petsmart is the place to go!!! read more

I will not be using PetSmart again. I have used both the Vet clinic and grooming and they are constantly trying to up sell. And gosh forbid you purchase the medical insurance and decide a few days later to cancel it. Extremely poor customer service. It was absolutely ridiculous what I had to go through to cancel it and what they charged me to do so. I found a local Vet on McQueen & Ray and they are great! I also have a local groomer I found on Higley and Baseline. I do not recommend Petsmart. read more

I came here today thinking about getting a Betta fish and a small aquarium with filter ( a gentle filter, for strong filters overpower our sweet Betta friend). The betta all (all of them!) had shredded tails and were very sad looking. Three or four of the little containers were filled with big green slimy masses, which I took for dead bettas that had been overtaken with fungi?? Of course, the tale of a betta is a sad tale, kept as they are by pet stores in those tiny little plastic cups - that alone is criminal. But I thought to myself, "Hey, here are these little poor betta fish in pet stores and I'm in a position to give one of them a much better home/life." I read up on them ahead of time so I wouldn't be making an impulse purchase and so that I could create a nice habitat for my new little friend. One of the things I read was "beware the shredded tail" because it indicates an unhealthy fish. So, prepared with this knowledge and more, I walk into this particular PetSmart, only to see a bunch of lethargic lonely betta, all of whom have sad little shredded tails. Honestly, it made me decide against getting one at all. I just can't support the betta fish industry. It made me think of the movie The Cove, except on a much smaller scale. My husband and I have been going to this Petsmart for years to buy feeder fish for our tanks. The last two weeks there have been no feeders at all. The excuse given was that is was a holiday and they would be delayed a day. Well, that was not the case. I had called on Fri, July 7th, and was told their delivery would be there between 9 and noon. I called and spoke with the manager on the next Sun and was told they weren't supposed to have a delivery at all that week. So, not only did they not have fish that week, they didn't have the week after. I also had an experience where I was told by an employee getting my fish a few weeks back that my 20% off coupon would be honored for the whole price of the 80 feeder fish I purchased but when I got up to the register, it was rung up as 20% off a .14 cent fish. I asked for the manger and told him what his employee said in the fish department, yet he would not honor it. This manager, grey hair, grey goatee, was very rude and would not even consider helping out a customer who religiously came in every Sunday and purchased merchandise. I am currently looking into another pet store to buy my feeders. read more
