I went in to purchase some fish and the lady kept pushing the net on the fish to make them go slow and killed two of them, when I went to get them in the tank they were alive, when she took them out they were dead floating in the bag. I told them the fish didn't look okay and she said "okay charge them for just 2 then" instead of taking out the dead fish or saying anything. super rude and she grabbed the fish like they were little toys. and killed then right in front of me. read more

Just a review for the grooming section: We have a Havanese, a velcro breed, and a very hairy breed. We've been bringing our dog here since 2020 and appreciate the way he's treated and taken care of. We don't have a specific look we require for our dog, and so that will probably be why our experience has been good. They shave him down, and he grows it out, and we're back here again. The price tag stated "buy one get the second one 25% off." Once at the register, the pin pad prompted me to put my phone number in which I told the cashier I did not want to do. She rang me up and gave me my total and I asked why I didn't get my discount on the second item,,,she said it's only for people who input their phone number. When I told her it was not cool to mislead customers by showing one thing on the price tag and asking for another thing at the register, she gave me a smug look, handed me my receipt and didn't say goodbye or have a nice day. They also have grooming. While I was looking around, two employees asked if I needed assistance. A nice older lady checked me out. I don't know why this store isn't rated higher. I like that they have rescue groups there on the weekends. (Adopt, don't shop). I would definitely return. read more

My son really wanted a hamster. So after doing some research, we headed out to the PetSmart closest to us on Val Vista to check out the hamsters they had. Katie assisted us and she was amazing - not only was she friendly, but she was also very patient in answering all of questions. And she was able to answer ALL our questions - she knows her stuff! We bought a hamster that day. Unfortunately, we had to return a week later with a dead hamster, and once again Katie was there to answer our questions, ask us her own questions, and help my son get comfortable with getting another hamster. Not sure what we're doing wrong, but we had to return again when the new hamster started showing signs of not feeling well like the first. But PetSmart was VERY responsive and quickly said they'd take the hamster to the vet. We were able to find out what is the issue, and again Katie has stepped in to help us figure out what we need to be doing differently when the hamster comes back home. If you're thinking about getting a hamster/mouse/guinea pig/lizard/other small animal, I highly recommend asking for Katie at PetSmart. read more

I had an appointment scheduled with Dee to get my dog groomed and it was bad from the start. As soon as we walked in we got a horrible attitude from her. She is super unfriendly and so lazy. She kept complaining about my dog's size and how she's too strong for her to handle (even though my dog was behaving very well) and how she does not have time to even do a quick wash, EVEN THOUGH I HAD AN APPOINTMENT SO THERE IS DEFINITELY TIME. When I scheduled I had mentioned the services I wanted and she completely disregarded everything I had said. Do not book with Dee. Do yourself and your sweet dogs a favor and find a much more professional place. This was such a waste of time and energy. read more

I had a great experience here today! This is the closest Pet Smart to me, so I've always came here out of convenience. So when I had to get my pups nails clipped I came here. Well there was an issue with my pups paper work (not there fault) they were very patient and sorted the whole thing out! I appreciate that so much! Also while waiting for my pup I was browsing around with my other pup and he mischievously pooped on the floor. I am really unhappy with how Dee did my dog. This is his first haircut and I completely understand that you can't get their whole body groomed. It's supposed to be the FACE (not the whole head), the private areas and paws. She cleaned up his private area, didn't do his paws and SHAVED HIS WHOLE HEAD! He looks ridiculous. When I came to pick him up she told me that he did a great job behaving and didn't fuss which is awesome. She then told me that she ended up shaving his whole head INSTEAD of his face, stated that the back is longer and shrugged as if it wasn't an issue that she messed up on my dogs first haircut. I had a gut feeling to turn around and not take him in and I should have. From the time I got there to drop him off she was very short and showed no emotion and it's my fault for trusting her. Not to mention she charged me $53 dollars and he didn't even get his bandana which was an add on I paid for. Going in for a refund today so that I can actually take him somewhere that will make him look cute again. read more

Nice sized PetSmart but definitely missing the addition of the Banfield Pet Hospital. The location I use back at home has it and the vets there have so far been really wonderful, we also like the availability of pet insurance. The staff were friendly and the sore was kept clean - not always an easy task when you have dogs and small children running around the aisles. It's in a good location but the parking lot has a weird layout. That is out of PetSmart's jurisdiction but for future reference for anyone visiting to keep your eyes peeled since there seem to be a lot of out of place apron cuts and whatnot. read more

Worst Grooming experience in 30 years of dog ownership. Two staff gave the impression they would rather be anywhere else than at work... the groomer gave my dog back maybe a minute or two later saying they couldn't trim his nails or express his glands as he tried to bite them. He is not a biter. No clue how to handle dogs and should not be in the role. Clueless. This 'salon' has done the same treatments multiple times before with no issues. So I went in just to buy a gold fish for my nephew and I was told I couldn't buy one because I didn't already have a tank set up at home. I had about $200-$300 worth of materials for this one gold fish and I wasn't allowed to buy it. They told me "we're advocates for our animals"... girl don't be telling me you're advocates for your animals when you have puppy chow for sale. I've worked with animals and have a degree in animal science. You guys sell the trash of the trash for the 4 legged animals but can't sell me a gold fish? I have been taking my dog to get groomed since she was a small puppy. Petsmart has always done an okay job, never had an issue. I got her groomed this weekend with Anahi at this location and she looks AMAZING! Anahi cut what needed to be cut pretty much to perfection, made her super clean and did a great job getting all the dead fur out. Even my dog is prancing around knowing she looks good. To say we are disappointed with our experience is an understatement. Lexi is a 13 year old Bichon Frise and we asked the groomer (Dani) for a puppy cut. Specifically we said to leave the head fluffy and not to give a 'poodle' look. Lexi was overdue for a grooming and we knew it would be a challenge to brush some of the matts out however these groomers never even tried! They completely shaved her (which is something we can do ourselves at home and save the $49 we ended up paying) and now she looks like a rodent. In the 13 years of taking her to groomers, we have never had a worse experience. The groomers are lazy and we will never go back. Save your money. read more

I had an appointment for a month to have someone groom my dog. When I went in on 12/22/14, she was there, but she gave my dog to someone else. When someone asks for someone specifically, they should never be given to another groomer. We have a Goldendoodle. No dog should not be groomed by someone else if their owner specifically requests a groomer. I told her not to shave the bridge of his nose, and the bridge of his nose was shaved when he was done. We used the grooming service today at this location to get our dogs nails grinned and cut. Afterwards I looked at his paw and noticed he was bleeding and had an obvious cut. I asked the lady who cut them if we could wrap it or something so it doesn't get infected on our way home. After talking with her manager all they had to say to me was "I have no idea how that happened". Obviously it happened from the grinder. I didn't care who did it I just wanted to wrap it so it wouldn't get infected from him walking on the ground. They wouldn't aid us in our request to get it wrapped or bandaged. Hey you all of you are going to get your pets groomed here I would high recommendation Kaliee DO NOT have Erin (Erica) or Kathleen groom your Furbabies. These two are not qualified as humans to groom dogs. This is my opinion and only my opinion. These two are rude to humans. Today I took Enzo and Rocco to be groomed and I was watching Enzo, as I always do and Kathleen came out and with such a rude manner told me that I could NOT watch through the glass because I was making Erin uncomfortable. I would have been okay with it if she would have approached me differently but the way she said it threw me off. My husband, Chad was standing next to me and was just as shocked as I was by the way she approached me. I am not going to be treated this way by anyone. I go there to give my local stores business and if they want to place food in their tables and a roof over their heads they should never treat customers this way. This was unprofessional. I am hoping the the manager Andrew has a serious talk with them. One very disappointed customer. read more

After PetSmart had my dog for over 4 hours, I went back to the store to see if perhaps I had missed a phone call that she was finished (they called the wrong number--my daughter in California). I was surprised to see another groomer grooming my dog--not the one I requested. I also got a report card that my dog was 'fussy about her legs.' Really? Maybe it is true, but what should I do? I have a nine pound cute little furry black and brown pup who absolutely HATES going to the groomers. Lucky for her she's got short hair so she only gets subjected to this every few weeks for a nail trim. I learned long ago that it was way too scary for me to trim them myself, so the wonderfully sweet girls at petsmart take good care of her for me. $9 for a nail trim or $11 for the grinder which is a pretty great deal. You can also walk in and they will do it while you shop. Bonus. Every staff member here is friendly and very obviously loves animals. read more

Really like this location because it's conveniently located next to the Dollar Tree and they always have sales on their pet items! After my initial visit, I switched my cats food selection to Blue Buffalo per a cashier's recommendation. At first I was skeptical looking at the size of the bag & its price tag but as she explained off the top of her head the ingredients and even her own cat's experience with the food, I was sold. Needless to say, I've been coming back ever since to purchase their food and once in awhile, toys. They have a great selection of feather sticks with any and every attachment you could ever think of. Erica was our groomer and she took it upon herself to butcher, yes she butchered our Goldendoodle even after we specifically told her that we wanted to keep his coat longer. I cried when we picked him up and saw what she had done. She had no remorse whatsoever. These groomers need to be better trained with certain breeds. I don't understand why they feel the right to do whatever THEY want and not what the customer requests. He didn't look like my dog at all. It was horrible!
