The staff is amazing! As soon a I walked in the store an associate named Amanda greeted me and she helped me with my entire shopping experience. My dog, Buster was in excruciating pain. I took him to an emergency pet hospital and after palpating him, they could not find anything. They said it could be a genetic fusion (caused by bone spurs) of the cervical section (common in King Charles breeds). What was I suppose to do keep him on pain meds even after a possible surgery? I needed a second opinion so I took him to our regular Banfield doctor. Dr. Sultan found an ear infection. She was not ruling out the fusion of c section but now, I was able to treat Buster to see if it was also his spine. Process of elimination... It wasn't! It was just an ear infection! Buster is no longer yelping! It broke my heart to see him in so much pain! This mama is happy thanks to Banfield!! read more

Sue did such a great job grooming my little terrier mix. She took notes on what we asked for, and gave us notes back on how my pups day went. My fiancé said Sue was really nice and that he felt comfortable leaving our little one in her care. When I came to pick her up, there were two other groomers who were attending to my pup, and asked again to make sure I liked how she was clipped. They were super nice too. It was easy to make the appointment online, good groomers are usually booked so far in advance, I find it difficult to get my girl in quickly, but I was able to get her booked for the next day. Good pricing, great service, and looked like a clean facility. I would recommend Sue to anyone who has a little dog that needs a good haircut and bath!!! read more

I stopped at this store right after going to the competitors store a few minutes away. As soon as I walked into this store I was greeted and I saw an employee helping a customer. I needed help and I stood back to wait for her to finish with that customer. She was very helpful to him (and me when it was my turn) I was very impressed by her knowledge and friendliness. I decided to buy a new fish tank, heater and decoration for my tank. The cashier was friendly also. Later that day I ended up going back as I forgot to buy gravel for my new tank. The cashier was helpful and price matched the pet smart website price for me (it was a painless transaction). This cashier was also friendly and efficient. This was my first visit to Pet Smart and it will be my go to pet store from now on. Good job to all the friendly workers and obviously good management. read more

I went to get my dogs nails clipped and i walked away for maybe 5 min to get a chew for my dog and when i came back she handed me my dog and said she couldnt do it my dog is to scared. We love this location and would give a 5 star review except for a recent experience we had. We have an outside trainer for our newly adopted pit bull. We are trying various different training tools with the trainer to see what she responds best to. I came in today to try a muzzle size for an activity our trainer wanted to do at our next appointment. A Pet Smart dog trainer named Ann saw me trying it on and proceeded to interject in a very judgmental manner. She was rude and kept prying as to why I would be using a muzzle on my dog. I started to explain but then I felt really harassed and decided that our training plan wasn't her business. Many of the trainers there have helped me so much and educated me on different harnesses and leashes, but this lady was very out of line. There are a few problems with employees like this. First off, this could have been a great educational moment if Ann had better social skills. But to insert rash opinions and judgment doesn't gain more training clients. Second, this person doesn't represent the company in a positive manner. And third, interactions like this are the reason companies lose clientele. Maybe Ann could try reading a book I read years ago that changed my Life. "How To Win Friends and Influence People". read more

The managers here took care of my issue, but the employees are lazy. I place online orders all the time and just pick it up in store when I find the time to get over there. Today I told the cashier I was here for an order (so he could call the manager over), and walked past to the pick up area. He pointed to the managers standing across the store and told me the managers were there. OK.... I waited a few minutes and he didn't bother to call them over. I had to ask him if he was going to get them for me or not. Again, he said they are right there, as if me asking him to do his job was troublesome. It's sad I have to write this review considering the first time I took my Pomeranian to the grooming salon they did everything just fine. This second time I took him was with Hanna and she did not do a nail trim, gland expression, or sanitary clean. All of these which are included in the bath and brush package. I feel scammed and sadly I didn't notice until I was already home. Make sure to specify what you want or else they might not do what's included in the package. read more

I love this PetSmart so much- the staff are so friendly and kind to me and my dogs! My husband and I have been taking our puppy to classes with the dog trainer at this location (Ann) and it's crazy how much we've learned! She's so great at making the classes flexible and helping each owner find the right training method for their dog- and she has so many tips and tricks for common puppy/disobedient dog problems. I also love that she always puts the safety of the dogs first, she's taught us how to correctly train our dogs by reinforcing positive behvaiors rather than punishing bad behaviors. I highly recommend signing up for classes if you have a new puppy, you definitely won't be disappointed! read more

I had walked into the store to get more of my dogs vet prescription food as I was out. I do not have a car so when running errands I sometimes am holding a bag in my hand from other purchases. I was in the store looking and was talking to a cute dog and their owner in the store. The assistant manager comes up to me and tells me I have to put my shopping bags in the front. Basically trying to say I was going to steal and did it in front of other people. This was so embarrassing and unprofessional on his part. I can walk into any other store and not have this happen. I had to leave my bag of food at a empty cashier area. He told me they would watch it. Which he didn't do so anyone could have taken my bag. The employee working the cash out area didn't even know it was there. If I didn't need my dog's food I would have turned around and walked out. No body deserves that type of treatment especially from someone who is suppose to be management. I suggest finding somewhere else to get your pets need other then this store. read more

On July 6, 2017. I boarded my 6 month old English bulldog at Pet-smart doggie hotel on Rainbow drive. On July 9th I was contacted by a store employee that my puppy was limping with no explanation as to why? On July 10 after cutting my vacation short I drove directly from the airport to see my puppy. When I arrived my baby had a severe limp and appeared to be in pain. I immediately drove her to my veterinarian who took x-rays of her hind leg and informed me it was fractured. I was referred to Las Vegas veterinary specialty center where she underwent surgery and metal pins were placed to correct the fracture. I've spoken to the store manager and have made several calls to the cooperate office in Arizona and no one has even contacted me regarding this unfortunate incident. I'm appalled at the way this company who supposedly is a dog caring company has neglected to even call me and check on my puppies condition regarding injuries that occurred while in their care. Pet smart employees were not only negligent of my puppy while in their care but the actions of the cooperate office tell me this behavior must be condoned and not important enough for someone to pick up the phone and simply ask what can be done to remedy the situation read more

On May 24th, we took our dog in for grooming. Hannah was grooming her and somehow cut her ear which required 3 stitches. The Banfield Pet clinic which is part of Petsmart stitched her ear and gave us what she said were antibiotics. Not one person from the grooming salon came to talk to us nor did anyone call to apologize. My dog was also peeing blood which on the medication it said this could be a side effect, When I called Banfield they said she was not given antibiotics but pain pills. These people couldn't even get their stories/medications straight. Banfield rep told me this was not due to the meds but I could make an appointment for a doctor to see her but there would be a charge. I was so upset that I then contacted the Petsmart Corporate office. on June 23rd, Morgan the manager, at Petmart called and sked me to bring my dog in so they could check her out. Keep in mind this was a month after the incident. She also indicated that she just heard abut this. I told her we had already taken our dog to our Vet who took care of her and said the blood in her urine was due to a cut in tht area. Morgan said, 'we will pay for the bill" to which I replied just give a donation to my favorite rescue House of Second Chances. To date, August 9th, that donation has not arrived. My advide to anyone who has a pet 'think twice about who you trust them to!' I think there should be an option for negative stars, I gave one but that is not how I truly feel. read more

Ann is AMAZING! We had two dogs that were moving into the same house together, but unable to walk next to each other. Ann was incredibly patient and knowledgeable about how to make it a much smoother transition. Our pups now love to go on walks together, and our puppies have Ann to thank for that. I'm pleased with the store itself, however the salon is another story. When I took my 7 month puppy there, they had a special Pawdicure Plus Save $3. For starters, I went there at 8a when they opened (this doesn't require an appointment) I was told to come back at 10, went back at 10 and waited another 25 mins the associates had to call for a manager 2x and still no one showed up. Got in finally and literally 5 mins later she was done. They only trimmed/grind her nails, which was only 1 out of the 6 things the Pawdicure Plus offered and I was charged $26 (the full price) for a discounted service that was posted directly to the left of the cashier. read more

This Banfield part of pet smart gave my cat a rabies vaccine meant for livestock and it nearly killed her!! She has to go spend t next day at Banfield where they injected her with fluids and when I brought her home she lay kino for three days She couldn't even walk. Shame on them. She never reacted to rabies vaccines in the past and she is 14. It was snot her age it was the type of vaccine used. DO. NOT GET YOUR PETS OF ANY KIND AT PETSMARTS BANFIELD HOSPITAL. This place cancels my dogs grooming at 6:50AM. My appointment was at 7:00AM! On a Sunday. The person who called said that their groomer called in and couldn't do anything about it. Her fake sincerity and "shock" that I was already on my way was what really pissed me off. She offered me nothing as an apology. Limited selection, and bad customer service. I called up to ask about a specific bird cage and provided the item number, name and brand of the item as well as price. I was informed by the employee over the phone that the cage was not in stock. The same day shortly after phoning in I was in the neighborhood running errands and decided to check out this Petsmart's bird cage selection and to my surprise the exact cage I was looking for was in stock! So I usually don't write reviews for anything but I feel like this is a necessary one. I go to this petsmart ALL the time. I have two turtles, a bunny, and a dog so you better believe I'm here all the time. The store itself is decent. It's a giant store and I'm usually in and out in a timely manner. This review is specifically for the grooming salon. My baby who's an English bulldog has been going here since she was 6 months old after getting her necessary shots and spade. The first visit was delightful my dog was so excited to go get groomed and came out as happy as a bee. And the second appointment was the same...but then came the future appointments. I want to say after the third or fourth appointment, my baby has been scared to go. She got so scared one time she peed on the floor. This is not like her my dog is the biggest social butterfly ever and she's not scared of people. I don't know what happened, I don't know what they did to her but it breaks my heart seeing her so frightened to go now. Whatever they did, it's something she will never forget. I have had enough of this groomers. It's not worth the 72 bucks they charge me to just get her clean. It's not worth it if I have to leave my poor baby trembling and scared because of something they did. read more

This place is awful I hate this place I went there last week to do vaccine for my puppy and they told me I cannot do the vaccine unless I open a wellness plan. I made an appointment and went back there yesterday to do vaccine. They took my dog to the room without me for few mints and they came back to me and told me I have to reschedule my appointment because my dog has anxiety and then they charged me $102 for a dr visit for only few mins that doctor spent time with him and I have no idea what she did because I wasn't there. I came back home and decided I don't need this plan because it is too expensive and called again and they charged me $62 extra to cancel it. I asked them why and they said because of the few mins service that I didn't even see. This place is ripping you off without giving you service. Now, I have to take my dog to somewhere else to do her vaccine. The staff is rude and unprofessional. The dr didnt have any knowledge of what she is doing. This is the largest and nicest kept petsmart I've been to. Nice wide isles (a must when dogs are shopping with you). The staff is pretty nice as well... I was stocking up on 35lb dog food bags and the guy wheeled out 3 bags from the back and helped me to my car. I bit out of the way for me but nice enough ill make the trip. read more

I'm not a big 'commercial pet store' guy, but with this location across the street and questions about potential pets I decided to stop in and I must say I was impressed by the friendly and knowledgable staff. Debating the pros/cons of various cat breeds and realizing that PetSmart was unlikely to 'push' a breed like the Rex or Sphynx which they do not sell it was surprising just how much the team was happy to discuss the pros (happy, not overly clingly or chatty...and hairless in the case of the Sphyx) vs. cons (price, mostly, plus shortened lifespan and health concerns in some due to inbreeding) while also offering alternative suggestions. Still not 100% on what precisely I want to buy or whether simply adopting and hoping for the best is in my plans I was quite happy with the folks here...even if it does smell like a pet store. read more

I called them around 12pm to set up her 1st appointment for a bath. I set it up for the same day at 4pm (today). I get there they ask if I have her rabies shot information. I told them no one informed me to bring this paperwork with me. What a waste of time. I live a block away I won't be returning here.
