Not sure why this store doesn't have more stars. I picked up my 5wk old kitten today and upon seeing just how small he was knew I more than likely would need a bottle and formula. I had the absolute pleasure of being helped by Ann, she is the epitome of "great customer service", she was extremely knowledgeable and helped me get formula and bottles and I also purchased a can of kitten pate. Ann was kind enough to take me to a counter in the back to allow my kitten out and provided me with a paper plate and fork and allowed me to feed my little baby bean since he hadn't had breakfast yet. I had a kitten before but it was more than 20 plus years ago so all the advise she provided me was beyond helpful. I went to this location on a whim and glad I did she was so helpful. I had my dog scheduled for a grooming seeing here, but once I arrived, they refused to do so. My dog's hair had become extremely long and matted in certain areas. I explained that our but was told I could come in-- the initial lady I spoke to for some reason thought my animal was a cat instead of a dog. Once the groomer comes out he's immediately dismissive and refuses to do it. I was not going to put my dog under anesthesia. I wanted to take a moment to share my wonderful experience with PetSmart and commend the incredible team that has taken care of my American Bully, Winter. Amber has been an exceptional groomer, always taking fantastic care of Winter and ensuring she looks her best. While I'm saddened that Amber's schedule no longer allows for Saturday appointments, I was pleasantly surprised when Vinessa stepped in to take over Winter's grooming. Vinessa has been absolutely fabulous! We never have to wait at check-in, and Winter is always ready within a couple of hours. Both Amber and Vinessa have truly gone above and beyond in their care. I must also mention Krystal, the store manager, who has an amazing personality. From the moment we arrived, Krystal greeted both Winter and me with a warm smile and even offered Winter several different treats until she found one she liked. I've been here a million times for the most part to pick up more cat food. It is in a really annoying part of the city with tons of tourists flanking both sides of the street. And when the adopt a pet van comes rolling in prepare and brace yourself for people going nuts over the puppies. Anyway, they have started to order less of our preferred bougie brand of wet food "Merrick". And have resorted to sticking it in the back. Our cats like bougie cat food. So I hope they restock on that. In the past I did end up buying a cat mat for their litter box and when I opened it up at home it had holes all over it. Like perfectly rolled up with all of those holes. . . . so that you couldn't possibly notice it was damaged unless you opened it. Anyway, had to go all the way back through flatiron traffic hell and made an even exchange for a new one, bracing myself that that also wasn't destroyed. But I guess they should really check their merchandise more closely. They have a rewards system. I have no idea how it really works. I think you get more rewards if you log in on an app or the internet and that's kind of annoying because they already have my phone number, how much more crap does PetSmart really need so I get a dollar off every hundreds spent. lol. read more

We have taken our dog here many times and the experience has been fine. We even went a few months prior for a sanitary trim and wash. Our dog is usually in and out in 2hrs. This last time was terrible. She is elderly and does not like other dogs. We stressed this. We made sure to feed and walk her before the appointment. Groomer answers with another dog in her hands. We had to tell her our dog is nervous. She puts the dog away. We say our good byes. FIVE HOURS GO BY before we get a call that she is ready. I come to pick her up and the groomer answers with the same dog in her arms. When I tell her who I am there to pick up, she insists my dog is not there. I implore her to check and then she comes out with my dog who immediately pisses herself without even squatting. She does not seem ok, so I quickly took her to a cafe next door to get a water bottle. She is gulping the water too fast and throws it up. So I start only letting her have small sips. We made an emergency appointment at our vet. They did blood and found her to be so severely dehydrated that it did serious damage to her kidneys. Mind you, she was just at the vet getting her shots and they did bloodwork and her kidneys were at healthy levels. They believe Petsmart withheld water for the whole 5 hrs to keep her from needing the bathroom, a practice that should never be exercised on elderly dogs. She now needs twice daily iv treatments and medication. Don't take your dog here if you care for them. This is abusive in my opinion. read more

Petsmart is quickly becoming the worst run pet supply company to do business with. I've already been in discussions today with two (2) of their Customer Care Team, a manager & am awaiting another manger regarding ongoing issues with system glitches and them placing false orders. I've escalated the issue to a senior manager who is to follow up with me to provide a resolution. Today alone, this has taken over 2 HOURS OF MY TIME DURING MY WORK DAY! I am completely disgusted with PetSmart and how they have system glitches (confirmed by all 3 employees I spoke to) that allowed someone either internally/externally or system generated to place insane orders (someone ordered 7, YES SEVEN, 30lb bags of dogfood in the amount of $450+ (WHO WOULD DO THIS?) and paid for them via the credit card on my account. AFTER ALL THIS I now I receive a disturbing email from "Customer Care' AFTER speaking with the 3 representatives where they acknowledged the issue is not of my doing and NOW I'm getting accused of 'MISUSE' of their system...SERIOUSLY???? While I was upstairs checking out, I suddenly heard a loud commotion and screaming coming from the grooming salon. I heard a man yelling and calling out a girl's name Ash and telling her to let someone go. Shortly after, I witnessed a young woman coming up the stairs covered in blood. It was a deeply disturbing scene, and I felt shocked and unsafe. As a customer, I would not feel comfortable bringing my pets to this location. PetSmart is the worse. First I drop my dog off and they gave me trouble about vaccinations. I have specifically got for this visit in particular. Then, after taking an hour to analyze at my vaccinations, for my pet were indeed accurate. They then brought her into the room after bit of back-and-forth. They never told me when to come back and pick my dog up but I took an hour and a half walk before coming back to get her when I found out she hasn't even been seen yet. She was just sitting around 100 other dogs waiting to be next. Meaning her appointment time wasn't necessarily hers. No wonder why they want vaccinations. They're planning on leaving your dog sitting around for hours with other dogs. After I had told her that I was in a bit of a rush and I could wait at least another hour but that would be all because I have a second appointment. They started screaming and yelling. I asked one girl if I can go ahead and use the restroom while I waited and she got really upset, waving her cell phone in my hand. After that somebody was kind enough to let me use the restroom. After I use the restroom, she went flying upstairs and screamed at all of the staff, very aggressive and unprofessional. I will never come back here again. In a very non confrontational way, I explained I almost missed the appt because I signed up for text reminders but didn't get one. Fortunately, I remembered and made it in time. She kept cutting me off and interrupting me in a very upset way. wow! so impressed with my pup's grooming appointment with Damiska! We'd gone to a local groomer the last few times and I'm so happy we made the hike up to petsmart. Damiska went out of her way to give Chewy a great groom and really make sure she is healthy and happy by cleaning her ears and paws so well. She was also so sweet with my dog during pick up and drop off. I really appreciate the extra effort and will go out of my way to come up to petsmart for her grooms in the future. I can't recommend it more! Especially if your dog is a little fussy, I noticed chewy's demeanor is so much better after this groom. She was much calmer than she has been after past grooming appointments and didn't seem as tired either. She followed my requests for the cut on her face and Chewy is looking cute as ever! read more

My labradoodle went for a normal grooming day at this location and came back bloody (see pics) because they clipped the nails wrong. Her paw was soaked in blood and bled for hours while we tried to control her bleeding and mitigate for infections. The groomer, Eloise, did not tell me about the bleeding upon leaving. I am more livid about the dishonesty and the lack of accountability about this Petsmart. Upon telling Petsmart about this, the manager made excuses about how her paws could have gotten cut by glass on the sidewalk or that's somehow the dogs fault. We took a car ride home and when we let the manager know about the car home, he kept on blaming the issue on the dog / me. Zero accountability. Then the groomer, Eloise, gave me a call and echoed what the manager said about glass on the sidewalk, probably because they did not want to take liability and she had to say what her manager said. Nothing is worse than people who do not take accountability for their mistakes. I took my cat here today for grooming and was very pleased with the experience I had with your student / teacher team! They were teaching students throughout the week how to groom cats and called it "Cat Academy". How cute! So glad my Tux could be apart of a learning experience. Additionally I got a 35% off discount today from grooming with a student - total ranging to $55 instead of $95. What a steal! That price also included the added on CHI 2 in 1 Shampoo and the Oatmeal Conditioner. The girls were super nice and even let me drop him off early to make my very important meeting. They noted his anxiety and made his experience excellent. They even reported that his anxiety was less at this appointment. They must've treated him like a king. Unsure why it has such terrible reviews but I came in 30 minutes before closing, around 8:30pm on a Wednesday so maybe the store was less packed and more quiet than usual. I was impressed with the plethora of dog bones they were selling. From extremely LARGE to very tiny-- they have what you're lookin for! As for the customer service, it was ehhh. The review is for grooming department. Ive been going to this PetSmart for about two years but I've had issues in last two visits. The first issue, I scheduled 7 am grooming session and could not get inside- the maintenance man was not informed so he would not allow me in. Once I was finally allowed in- I was informed there was no staff, they called out leaving me in a very difficult position since I couldn't leave my dog there and I had a very important 8 am meeting. It left me scrambling to manage getting to my job while my dog was with me. 2nd time I scheduled for 5:30 pm on Friday, after work, since I was nervous after previous visit. The groomer seemed somewhat fearful/nervous of my 20 pound Pomeranian mix dog. It made me uncomfortable. She said it was because of the notes about my dog on the computer. No other groomer had ever complained about my dog so I was surprised about why she seemed so on edge. I asked her to read them and the first thing was that my dog is territorial with me (which I communicated this anxiety from the beginning since he is a rescue dog) and second it's that my dog doesn't like turbo dryer. Since I hadn't felt comfortable with her attitude towards my dog, I informed her that if she didn't feel comfortable she didn't have to do this and we could just leave. She didn't feel comfortable and I appreciated her honesty, however, she proceeds to tell me that I should have brought him earlier because he is an older dog ( 7 years old) and a 5:30 pm appointment is too late. Three hours is not enough time. I shouldn't be booking sessions that late in the day for a senior dog. No one ever communicated this to me or else I would have adjusted plans. I got a coupon book and my dog got a treat to make up for the inconvenience but we do not plan to return. We had to cancel our hiking plans for holiday weekend since my dog didn't get haircut. I brought my miniature Poodle; his name is Toby. I asked him for a Teddy bear style haircut and showed her photos of how I wanted it. And she gave him a horrendous haircut. She left his face like a dinosaur. I wanted to cry when I saw it. The body hair cut is very short. Nothing look like the picture I show her. Haircut is totally horrendous he looks so ugly . I don't understand how this girl can work there. I called the corporation and make a complaint and I will also report it to the credit card to dispute the charges. Unfortunately there is no money that can help my dog ​​at this time. Well, all his hair was totally damaged. And I took my other dog Nailah for a full hair, bath, and nail cut. They have lots of stuff. But the bird section is particularly disappointing for a couple of reasons. First, they don't have stuff they should have. You'd think, with an in-store sign proclaiming what's good for your bird, that they'd have those things. Generally only one two out of three. This time: no cuttlebones, which is specifically what I came here for. Second problem: they DO have things they probably should not have. Like birds. Maybe the little ones are popular enough that they won't be here long. But a larger and more expensive bird, like a conure, is much more for a person to consider, and probably should not be in a store like this. What I believed was a groomer lady came out and asked what I wanted done and she gave me her recommendations too and was told an hour to hour and a half. Hour and a half later I call up and they still didn't do anything with my dog. Now I understand there was 1 other person there before me in line but still not having groomed my low maintenance dog...so I was told another hour or more to wait and so I did. Again called back and was told she was next in line...so far I've wait about 3 hours and I was without a doubt the 2nd person in the groomers line with a low maintenance dog. All that you needed to do was a simple cut, clean the paws and cut her nails...you're telling me that within that time frame that couldn't be done? So I waited yet again and I finally got a call back within 30 minutes saying my pup was ready. Picked her up and from a quick glance she looked good and obviously smelled good but upon further inspection outside at the park, the cuts they made weren't even and you could see it within the sunlight. They also didn't cut the hair between her paws like we had discussed. Dunno why it took 3-4 hrs but I'd highly stay away from this place when it comes to dog grooming cause they butchered my pup's first "haircut" read more
