Easy appointment, made it online. When we arrived at 9am I could see they were already busy. A nice man, Chris, checked beau in. Almost 5 hours later he looked like a puppy again! Manager was great. On the other hand Cashier needs more training. I was ready to pay and i offered to step out of the line and told him to take care of the lady behind me just to do his job and look for his manager to ask something instead of him calling her through his head peace just like he did for another customer. Unfortunately the is the first bad review I've ever given a PetSmart location. I was told to reschedule my grooming appointment for a third time in 48hrs. After being told to re schedule once because a little bit of his stitches had to be completely removed before they could take him. When I came back the next day a different assigned groomer tried to handle him with hesitation and said that he was being aggressive. I explained that he has been groomed at this location before without any issues. They asked me to wait to see if another groomer could handle him while I waited for them in the store. During the time I waited, two cashiers asked to pet him and complimented his cuteness without any issues or aggression. I spoke to the manager and was told sorry but I will have to schedule another day because of employee safety concerns in the grooming department. I notified the manager that I will be leaving a poor customer review and she seemed to be accepting of my decision. Ultimately, my experience here displayed poor service, scheduling, as well as unprofessional and most likely a very overwhelmed staff. read more

They are also great in the area of sending coupons for things you used prior to save you money when you come back . This PetSmart also just opened back up there grooming section! There prices are reasonable and always are stocked up! They have a huge variety of foods and treats and staff is pretty knowledgeable about many of them . Our dog Wesley can often be interpreted as aggressive by other people. But with Gregory as our dog groomer wasn't the case. Wesley had been turned down by a dog groomer before. But Gregory has this dog whisperer way. Wesley quickly warmed up to him. They created a beautiful rapport. I'm so glad we found him. Thank you for your service. Thank you for existing. Wesley is properly groomed, nails trimmed properly. You are appreciated. You have a special gift. He will be our permanent groomer from now on. I have never been so happy. They became so finicky and I ended up throwing it away. I went back to Petsmart and got a different brand same issue. We have always had lots of animals. At one time a mini petting zoo of sorts. This location has always provided us with great customer service. Always answering any questions or guiding us as to where we can locate certain items as most of our fur/furless family was not the typical cat or dog. Pricing is always reasonable, the sales are usually very good. They usually have many little critters for sale ranging from reptile to Guinea pigs. There is a grooming area as well. Store was very well kept, and shelves fully stocked. On the weekend at times there are adopt- a-thons, today was for 2 cats that needed a new home. The worst damn location to pick up orders made online . I walk in , I line up no problem . Miranda asks to help me , I pulled up the order number on my phone and showed her, she throws her hand up and says , I still need a name , any potential name . Wtf ? Then your associates who pulled the order and did not put a name in my order , Miranda then comes back to me and asks for the order number . What the hell kind of service is this ? No damn organization! What the hell is the order number good for if Miranda is not ok with it till she finds out your associates didn't put a damn name ? And she didn't even apologize! My 14 year old dog goes into the petsmart on Craig and MLK. Travis has her for 5 min shaves half of her and says she got aggressive so you have to just come pick her up half done. They said they do not try to calm them as soon as they show any signs of aggression they release them. Now this dog is 10 pounds and 14 years old. If she goes to bite because something hurts she never bits to hurt so I can truly say there is no way there story is true. Please do not use there grooming service. I called the Corp number they gave me and they asked me to hold and than hung up on me. The manager on duty was even worse help trying to say she was there and saw the entire thing. The manager came from the back we were still in the parking lot when they told me to come back. Very unprofessional. For your dogs sake DO NOT use this petsmart!!!!! read more

Do NOT take you pet to their grooming service!! I have taken my dog here multiple times and each time there's is a problem! The first time they cut her hair way too short, our most recent visit they again cut her hair too short, and actually hurt her leg. I didn't notice at first but once we got home she was limping from her front left leg, The groomers there do not care about your pet at all. And if your pet gives them any type of problem they will use unnecessary force to finish the job. Plus they charge you extra if they feel like it! read more

So I took my boy In for a haircut. Told them what I wanted and showed them a photo. Well, the dog I got back was not my Dude! The body was great, how can you go wrong with taking it all off.... however the face???? Horrible! I wanted a little faux hawk on top and NOT snouty.. well, the pretty much hacked his face and the hair on top wasn't even !!! Will never go back there! Just look at the photos. My daughter was fortunate enough to receive a five month old puppy. Being a first time puppy owner comes with some challenges... i.e. potty training. Like most parents, we try to assist any way possible. So, I looked to the internet for some relief. Thankfully, I found Nature's Miracle No More Marking Spray, and available at the Craig location. I placed the order for pickup. In my haste, I realized I ordered the one for cats. Unable to cancel that order online, I was forced to make another purchase. This time for puppies. I made it to the store as soon as they opened. I was attended to by Rikki. She asked for my last name. We both agreed that there were two orders. Upon retrieving my orders, I explained that I made a mistake with my first order and if I could return it. She graciously understood and helped me with the refund. I thanked her for her help. I then asked for her name (label on her name tag was extremely small). She replied "Rikki". I told her that I wanted to do a review. She remarked "most people only do reviews for bad service". I got the impression that she was kinda surprised. I, as a consumer, base a lot of my purchases on reviews. I am always grateful for pure, genuine customer service. They aren't too common nowadays. We have taken our dog, a number of times. On two occasions, they never called to say he was ready, you have to call at the 4 to 5 hour window they tell you, and the response is "oh yes been done for a couple hours" and the grooming they miss spots, and when you ask for special attention to their hind areas, they go to the extreme and shave it completely down the entire leg. I have never seen such lack of care, unprofessionalism. read more

Me and my husband went here to buy fish Amanda so we went and saw the poor selection of gold fish they have and so I found 2 that I loved and they were both 5.99 each. They were in the same tank, we asked the girl who fished them out if they were and she agreed it was. Then she wrote the numbers on the bag and we went up front. The lady entered 2 numbers. Was unsure why and then she gave attitude and was like, well this isn't working and she looked at me and I said well idk i didn't write it so then she asked Brooke the other lady that was working and was like what do i do broke advisers her to go scan the barcode of which fish we had and so it would pull it up in the system, mind you we have already waited 10 minutes in line and then an additional time with her keep starring at me wanting me to do her job for her. Then, she goes and scans the fish it pops up that it's 7.99 and then my husband says oh no that's not right if it's not 5.99 I don't want it since it was falsely in the wrong tank supposedly but was identical to the other fish but I'm not a fish expert so I understood but then she has the nerve to put her hand on the fish and said oh well that's not my problem and shrugged her shoulders. At this point now I'm upset. This customer service was not acceptable. She could've offered to see what she could do for me but she didn't. I hope she can learn from this and treat customers nice and you will get it in return. read more

We had to wait more then 30 min to get help with the guinea pigs while the employees continued to help other customers who arrived after us. at one point I even saw two employees helping one customer, we asked several of them for help many times and were repeatedly ignored. After more then 30 min they sent the new girl who had never handled guinea pigs before, she was as helpful as she could be but I'm still bothered at the fact that the other 5 employees already in the area chose not to help us sooner. read more

Pets! Pets! Pets! Pet Smart! Pets Mart! PetSmart! Wow, the possibilities, and that's just in the name! :) PetSmarts are indeed a chain but like most big business chains the stores can be completely different from location to location. Craig road PetSmart is definitely stocked with all the regular items you usually come for to care for your furry, or not so furry (reptiles, hairless cats, birds, rocks, etc.) friends. However, I find this location to be just plain average. It's like the store isn't trying to be anything more than just the minimum. I know, I know, well what do I expect, it is a chain after all. But, when you compare this location to some of the others in town you definitely can find a difference, and where you find differences you find expectations, and expectations leads to having favorites! We all know what having favorites mean...it means you end up visiting that particular location more regardless of proximity. The store isn't as big as the others ones in town I've been too (North 5th/Deer Springs and Rainbow) so the layout and floor plan seems crowded and scattered. It also isn't as clean or well kept, and the store is just poorly lit. I don't know if they're trying to save money on electricity, but some efficient lighting would be good here, especially since you'd like to see where you're walking and avoid any pet droppings leaving with you after your visit. The upside: This location did have really friendly service. Most PetSmarts are notorious for saying hello and welcome, etc. But, this location seemed to have employees that were a lot more genuine and just plain happy. read more

After having a HORRIBLE last grooming visit elsewhere, my two puppies were a little gun shy going into PetSmart for their haircuts. I have 2 dogs and they were finished in 2 1/2 hours!!! That is amazing in and of itself! My doggies were lucky enough to have Crystal grooming them and she did a fantastic job. They both have curly hair and it can be a pain to get the cuts even, but she did an outstanding job. I highly recommend Crystal at PetSmart on Craig for all your grooming needs!!! read more
