I used to come here for tank plants and fish and things... I no longer can do that. The last batch of fish I got all died from a bad case of columnaris (mouth rot) and no it was not my water or tank or anything. They sell fish that are not ment for home aquaria and they don't really have the base knowledge to tell people this info. Some of the fish they sell can't be in tanks smaller than 150g AND they don't mention if they are schooling fish of not. It's important to have proper fish knowledge so people don't adopt a fish and then put a bala shark in a 20g tank. With fish sales i think they just want the sale. I recommend finding a Local Fish Store if it's aquarium fish and plants you are looking for. I only use petsmart to buy my dog food and some tank accessories now. The people that work there are still super nice. The store is always clean. My biggest issue is just the fish read more

Stupid 48 hour policy on rabies shot. That policy can be good for puppies but not for an adult 6 year old dog who happened to get his booster shots at the same day. I am not even getting a full service but just a sanitary trim. You guys should know the circumstances on when you would require that or not. Not going back here ever! read more

Love this Location!!!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND*** My Baby is always excited to go in. Service is friendly and the Vet inside is great. It's not the closest location to me but it's worth the drive. My favorite part? The Groomers! I have a German Shepard/Husky mix. Every 2 months we go for the De-furminator & after a great suggestion we tried the Chi package this time. Little cheaper & she smells amazing. You know you've found your place when even your Pup is excited for a bath. All the girls are super friendly & they take great care of my little girl! Definite worth the drive for me. Doesn't take too long and the results are always consistently great. I am very satisfied that I can trust them and their work here. read more

This experience was in March, 2016. I wrote the review and realized it never posted. Also, I have never set foot in this location since. Kim the manager has apparently made up her own policy to not exchange/return bad dog food. I purchased a bag of dog food and when I opened it the next morning it was filled with bugs. I took the bag back that day and the manager Kim was a nightmare. I told her I bought the bag yesterday and when I opened it this morning it was filled with maggots. She immediately snapped off that they are NOT maggots they are meal worms and it's normal, that I should have checked all the seams and corners for cobwebs,etc. (which there were none, date on bag was good). She also said that Petsmart NO LONGER takes back food but she will make an exception for me this one time. I asked her again to be clear and she said as of February it's their new policy. After a few minutes of her unkindness I called her out as to why she was treating me like the bad guy for returning something that was spoiled? She eventually apologized and said she's having a bad day. Thank you Kim for taking your bad day out on a customer. I called two other stores and this is NOT a Petsmart policy, it's Kim's policy to not take back dog food. If she's this unfriendly to the customers, I can only imagine how she treats her employees. Go up to North 5th location not this location. read more

The JW tumble teez dog feeder is awesome for my small guy he's about 4 months old and he's a mix I believe between chihuahua and Italian greyhound is what he's looking he'll turn out to be but he's the most timid dog I've ever owned he's not high keen on toys and he pretty much only likes to cuddle and go for walks but this tumble tee feeder is definitely getting him going I actually really like the design how it catches the kibble abs when it tumbles it makes this sound that he really is enjoying I actually like the design more than the just straight through design of the kong which is cool you can put frozen foods in there but this is not so messy easy to engage a timid puppy during lunch time it's really cool at first I was alil confused on how to use it but then watched a video and you stand it up on its bottom and when your pet knocks it over it dispences a treat and they can either role it around and try to get more treats out or you can stand it up for them and watch them understand they have to knock it over to get a treat not just simply role it also the openings are not so big that he wants to put his mouth in it he's actually just interested in knocking it over to get the treat out I hope this helps someone looking for a cheaper in price but not quality toy feeder like the Kong the JW Tumble Teez is brilliant read more

I must say I was very impressied with April's knowledge and expertise. I've been in numerous times and they never disappoint. Other Petsmart locations are good, but this has been the best so far. Recently lost a reptile (RIP Rosebud) and went to browse for another. Left with a new snake. April was fantastic and knew her stuff. She was very friendly and helpful, as was the rest of the staff. This is not the most convenient location for me, but it is totally worth a small inconvenience. Definitely will return. read more

Took Bishop, my 90 lb American Pit in for a bath, brushing, nail trim, & teeth clean. Team was eager to make my appointment and help when I arrived. This little 90 lb baby gets so scared going to groomer or vet. They handled getting him to the back with very little stress. That was very much appreciated!!! Bishop doesn't usually take to people quickly. However, he really seemed to LOVE Briana. What's more is that she did a phenomenal job. We adopted the most beautiful dog last week, and although we received plenty of treats when he arrived, we had to figure out food, toys, etc. We cruised into the Craig Rd. store and found everything we needed. The customer service was really good. We were told to go to the N. 5th locations for some service and products not found in the Craig Store. Well yesterday we needed to do a quick refill of food, and the customer service was spectacular! One of the groomers was kind enough to show us around the store (it was a bit slow). She was so thorough and knowledgeable in her product and services and pointed us in the direction of in store coupons, and we saved over $20 bucks!! Granted we spent a couple hundred dollars...so a huge shout out to Melissa! we will be customers for life!! read more

This location's training services are great! Zoe Sanchez, the trainer is amazing. Her teaching techniques and connections with her dogs AND pet parents is more than a customer/worker connection. She truly cares which shows you that pet training than more than her job, it's a passion. Since taking her class both of my dogs have mastered their obedience skills, she also helped with one of my dog's fear of strangers (which is the main reason we went to her). To say I'm satisfied with her training techniques would be an understatement! As long as Zoe continues to train, I will continue to bring my dogs to her. read more

Was once one of my favorite pet stores in the Valley and due to the ignorance and condescension of an employee I will never shop here again. Went in to this location on 08/23 with the intentions of buying a Bearded Dragon, when we first were in there a very sweet young lady helped us look and make some selections for the little one. Unfortunately she was replaced by an elderly lady who was the absolute rudest woman I have even encountered. Several times she interjected into my conversation without us asking for her and when we made our final selections she refused to sell a Dragon with the setup that the previous agent had helped us select. She was rude and condescending, stated that the only way that she would sell us a hatching dragon is with the purchase of a 300.00 set up and if we cant afford that we shouldn't be buying a pet to begin with. While I appreciate the concern for their animals well-being I used to raise Bearded Dragons and always started the hatching in a 10 gallon tank; granted it could be argued that a 20gal is a better fit I would never make someone feel like were abusing the animal. When I called and spoke with the manger he was very apologetic but he, admittedly, doesn't know reptiles and isn't the manager over that department. I left there upset, embarrassed, and will never shop there again. After leaving this place I went to a competitor who has a store across the street which was an amazing experience which I will also post about. read more

Wow has this place seen better days. I've lived in this general area for over 12 years and used to take my then puppy here for weekly training sessions some 8-9 years ago. I've been going to the deer springs location for the past few years but stopped in here today (02/7/16) to get dog steps/possibly a ramp. The store was sad looking, felt more of like a warehouse. Found my way back to the dog food area just because I didn't know where the steps may be. Was approached by the blue buffalo food sales lady (not an actual petsmart employee) and she was very helpful and walked me over to the right aisle. The aisle had two petsmart employees on the floor with boxes of inventory scattered around. I was literally inches away clearly needing help and advice on picking out steps (they only had two in stock from what I saw) but was completely ignored and felt like I was invading their space. Don't waste your time here, poor selection and ever poorer customer service. read more

Always had a decent experience until today. Went in purchased a decent amount of food and treats. There was a 5 for 10 deal on canned dog food and didn't notice until after I paid that they never gave me the deal. So I walk back in and show him the receipt. He goes to the back and tell me theres no such thing. I go back there myself and I can see were they ripped the deal ticket off. I told him it was there and that I chose this brand for that reason. He told me I was mistaken that there wasnt a deal. I left went back out to my car and grabbed everything I bought and told them I wanted a refund. I don't care about the 2 dollars off the food. I care being lied to and told I'm mistaken when I'm not. Especially when its somewhere I spend thousands apon thousands every year. Its not my fault your staff lagged behind on their duties and forgot to take down the tag if it was expired. Which is what I'm guessing happened? All you had to do was relay the truth and I would've accepted and left. Instead I went across the street to Petco where I found it to be cheaper and they had better selections of quality food. So I should thank you for that and that's where I'll be spending my money from now on. So hard to type on the dang smartphones haha. read more

This was always my go to spot for my dog as we live near by (we go 1-3 times a week). The service is always friendly until 4/8/15. On 4/1 I bought a 60 gallon fish tank from petsmart and all the nesssecary items to go with it (filter,rocks,decor,water additive etc) and spent a significant amount of money on the fish. Yesterday, 4/8 I wanted to add fish but realized I forgot to get ammonia, pH, etc tests. At noon I went in to buy said items and took a looky at the fish, nearly every tank had 1-2 dead fish. I went home, tested my water and about 7:00 PM I went back. All the same dead fish were there. I decided I didn't want to purchase fish from tanks where poor deads were. As I was ready to go a woman approached me and asked if I needed help. I told her I was planning on buying fish but after seeing the tanks and knowing for a fact many had been in there 7+ hours dead, I didn't feel like I'd be getting healthy fish. Her reply? All fish die ya know. Well, Petsmart. You've lost me. My dog regularly is groomed there, all his food + toys etc come from there and I just invested in a fairly exspensive fish hobby that I was going to be stocking from your store. Not. Anymore. Treat your employees some common sense and how to get dead fish out of your tanks. read more
