We were lucky to have found Taggs K9 dog training and was assigned to Simone. Simone did a fantastic job of redirecting our puppy of all of the concerns we were experiencing. It was stated in the beginning of the boarding that she is "not a miracle worker" however- it seems so. LOL She did an excellent job with explaining everything to the family so that we could all be on the same page. It really is up to the owners to do their part for the program to work. We are forever grateful for the way that we were treated as humans and for the love and care our puppy received. We learned so much from Simone. Thank you, Taggs K9! Thank you, Simone!

When we picked them up, Frankie 2 Toes and his sister Makena Blueu both were perfect walkers among the customers, loud noises and shopping carts at Lowe's. They also learned in house manners and really loved Ken, even though boarding was like boot camp and Warden Ken didn't let them get away with much meathead nonsense. We were extremely pleased with his and Simone's food recommendations. Makena had extremely dirty ears (cleaning them twice a week) after a week on new food the Vet said it was probably a allergic reaction to the old food we were feeding her. We highly recommend Taggs K9, Ken sucessfully trained my husband, myself and the two dogs!!!!

As long as you use the tools he gives you and practice them, you will be in great shape. He provides 3 group classes a week you can attend for extra help. It helped our dogs be around other dogs, it allows them to like and be around other humans as well. Dave doesn't force me or the dogs to do anything we do not feel comfortable doing. It does all depend with the owner or onwner's of the dog on how fast your dog will learn new habits and tricks. We recently adopted two older (Terrier) boy dogs that are maybe 7 and 8 years old the vets says. We also decided to get a 10 week girl pit bull at the time. One of the boys would try to attack the baby every time he saw her. I felt stuck and did not think my dogs would ever be in the same room, let alone even get along. Dave helped us with just a few at home lessons and now they are inseparable!! They play, tease and steal eachother's bones everyday. If you have any trouble with your dog and want to have control, I would highly recommend Sit Means Sit training with David Heck. Dave, I cannot say thank you enough for your support, guidance, patients and great advice whenever we don't understand or feel stuck with our dogs.

Make time for training every day and go to group classes. And even when you feel stuck, talk about it with Dave and he will surely help you out. He is very knowledgeable in the training feild and will tell you when you are sending your dog mix messages and when your handling your dog properly. Be pateint with yourself and your dog Key note: Dave & collar is most important tool I have ever worked with. My first experience was that I was scared of it and that I was going to hurt my dog after some time Dave could see that i was struggling with this and helped me out, I got over it real quick because I couldn't see results in my dog or myself I finally had to get a strong mind and realize I was not going to hurt my dog but I had to use the collar properly. My experience training with Dave has been amazing and I have surely seen the results in my dog Leo. I take great pride in training him and making him a better pet I am truly pleased with all our work that Dave has shared with us! I feel very confindent with my boy now and i have moved to off leash training. Proud mommy

There were a few problem behaviors we were able to work on right away. Jumping, sitting, and overall listening. AJ is extremely great with our dogs. They are excited to see her every session, and happy to work hard for her. AJ is not only a great dog trainer but also a teacher to us humans. She helped us learn the tools we needed for our dogs to be successful. After 8 sessions our dogs are doing great with door manners, a long stay, coming when called and more. She has taught us fun games that allow the dogs to use their noses to find scents, while also tiring them out. I recommend AJ to anyone in need of help with dogs who already are great, but have a few quirks to workout. And I highly recommend AJ to anyone with new pups in the house. She has made a huge difference for us, and our dogs as well as everyone's confidence!

I must stress that AJ is just not about training but more importantly she believes in Nala's well being. AJ created a bond with Nala, yet Nala is aware she is in training. AJ listened to our needs, and investigated our surroundings/situation. AJ prioritizes Nala's delicate insecurities. There are not many Trainers (or businesses) that go above and beyond the need to "sincerely help" and yet is still a professional. ie: AJ has accompanied us on numerous Vet visits; suggested Doggie Daycare, plus accompanied us on Nala 1st visit and ensured Nala's transition into socializing with other dogs. In which was a success! Nala is now at leash training status and people interaction. Stay tuned for further updates... Don't ponder... we still HIGHLY RECOMMEND AJ for your pet training needs!!!!

I would never trust Club K9 with another dog, and I strongly urge pet owners to consider whether…read morethey are willing to accept the same risk that Bailey and I experienced. Bailey was enrolled in the Advanced training program on 04/20/2026. Bailey was returned to me in a deplorable physical and emotional condition on 05/18/2026. He had pressure sores and scabs on his elbows and back legs, swelling on his left elbow, redness on both elbows, a rash across his belly, and was visibly afraid to eat or even move. This was not a dog returning home healthy and happy after training. This was a dog who appeared physically injured, emotionally distressed, and fearful. What haunts me most is what happened after we got him home. Every time we walked past his bed, Bailey would look at us with fear in his eyes. He seemed afraid to move, afraid to eat, and completely unlike the confident, trusting dog we had dropped off. What is most disturbing is that multiple employees interacted with him during his stay, yet no one contacted me to inform me of his weight or to discuss changes they observed, or recommend any intervention. According to management, wellness checks are a daily process and weight checks are done once a week, which only makes this failure more alarming. I immediately sent an email with pictures as soon as we arrived home. On 05/20/2026, I spoke with Brooklyn regarding Bailey's condition. During that conversation, she offered to reimburse a veterinary visit and stated that she would escalate the matter to the Regional Manager. Days passed and I heard nothing. On 05/26/2026, I had to send another email because no one had followed up with me. Only after I reached out again did Janae, the Regional Manager, finally contact me. Despite my detailed conversation with Brooklyn and two detailed emails explaining exactly what happened, Janae asked me to retell the entire story from the beginning. As a devastated pet owner, it felt less like an investigation and more like having to repeatedly justify why I was upset. During our conversation, I asked Janae a simple question: How would you feel if your dog were returned to you in the same physical and emotional condition as Bailey? Her response was that she would need to take several factors into consideration before answering. That answer spoke volumes. Any loving dog owner knows the truth. If your dog came home with pressure sores, scabs, swelling, rashes, visible fear, and a dramatic change in behavior, you would be heartbroken. You would be angry. You would want answers. Perhaps the most shocking part of the conversation was when Janae explained that Club K9's policy is not to contact pet parents until a dog has lost 8% or more of its body weight. The discussion then shifted to calculating whether Bailey's weight loss met that threshold. Think about that. Rather than discussing why Bailey's condition was allowed to deteriorate to the point where he returned home with visible physical injuries and emotional distress, the focus became whether he had lost enough weight to trigger a notification. To make matters worse, Club K9 later offered four private lessons to help "rebuild trust" between Bailey and me. Bailey and I never had trust issues before Club K9. The suggestion that our bond somehow needed repairing after his stay there only reinforced how dramatically his behavior had changed. I also paid for their Advanced Training Program, which included off-leash training. Despite that, Bailey was clearly not prepared for off-leash walking when he returned home. Between Bailey's physical condition, his emotional state, the complete lack of communication during his stay, the delayed response from management, and a policy that apparently allows significant decline before pet owners are notified, I have completely lost confidence in this company. Our dogs are family members. Bailey trusted the people responsible for his care. So did I. Both of us were let down. I have attached pictures of Bailey.

5 Stars - Thank You, Stephy!…read more My boyfriend and I were shopping around for a good dog trainer for our pitbull puppy when we came across BarxParx and found Stephy--and we're so glad we did! Stephy is absolutely amazing at what she does. She's incredibly knowledgeable in her field and made the entire experience both fun and educational. Over the course of six weeks, we saw such a positive transformation in our puppy, Moose. The group class was small and intimate, which made it easy for both of us to be involved in the training process. What we really appreciated is that Stephy wasn't just training our puppy she was also teaching us about puppy behavior, communication, and how to be better dog parents. She was so patient with us (and Moose!) every step of the way. Moose genuinely looked forward to going to class every week, which says a lot. Thank you so much, Stephy, for everything. You've helped us lay the foundation for a well-behaved, happy pup, and we couldn't be more grateful!

Extremely disappointed with this grooming business and will absolutely be taking our dog elsewhere…read moremoving forward. Today, our appointment was canceled with roughly 15 minutes notice -- which of course we didn't even receive because we were already driving to the appointment when they called. This comes after our previous appointment where we sat waiting nearly 25 minutes past our scheduled time just to get our dog checked in. What's especially frustrating is that this business is extremely strict about requiring rabies vaccination records for new clients -- which is completely understandable and responsible -- yet somehow they don't actually keep those records on file afterward. So now that we're going elsewhere, they can't even provide us a copy of the records we already submitted. At this point, it just feels incredibly disorganized from a management/ownership standpoint. Two appointments in a row have either been significantly delayed or outright canceled, and there doesn't seem to be much regard for customers' time or convenience. Thankfully, there are plenty of groomers to choose from, so this really isn't the end of the world. It's just an odd way to run a business if the goal is to attract and retain loyal customers.
