I brought my Pomeranian in for a bath and was convinced to add on the furminator service. That changed my payment from ~$28 to $48. With such a drastic change in pricing, I expected the very best. When I came to pick up my dog, the groomer (Ryan) did not shave my dogs pads, give him a sanitary trim or cut his nails. I did not know this prior to paying. Ryan had told me to pay first before he would give me my dog. Upon seeing my dog, I questioned why certain things weren't done ie the nails, pee/poo areas etc. he brought my dog back in for ten minutes and basically did nothing. When asked about the nails again, he said that they look fine (which they didn't, they were too long) and said if I paid more then he would do the grinding. I was so fed up that I left. I was not told about the policy where if I was not satisfied I would get my money back. I will never go back to this Petsmart and I would strongly advise that you don't bring your pets here. read more

This place doesn't care about animals being brought in for adoption events. TLC of IE is there trying to adopt dogs into homes. The store is rather HOT, dogs have no water, drooling excessively and the rescues kids are beating on the cages. I told the manager on duty but she didn't care either. What a joke this place is. Now this is what I call "taking care of the customer." The store did not have the 30Lb bag of food that I purchase so I grabbed a 15Lb bag and at the register asked the girl if there were any 30Lb bags available. (Specially since the 15Lb bag was almost $35.00 a piece and the 30Lb bag is $43.00) She asked me if there were any more 15Lb bags, I said yes and she took the initiative, made an executive decision and said "go ahead and get 2 15Lb bags and I will sell them to you for the 30Lb bag price and take care of you." She did not hesitate nor say I need manager approval, she took care of the customer without a blink. Thank you PetSmart for hiring people who don't have a problem taking control, making decisions, and providing the type of customer service that, unfortunately now a days, has become a rarity in stores. read more

If I could give 0 stars I would. I signed up and paid for a beginner training class for our newly rescued dog. I showed up for the class only to find out that I was the only one who signed up for that particular time frame and I was told they couldn't do a class with only one dog/owner. The lady I spoke to said she knew I was the only sign up- but no one bothered to call me and let me know. So, I signed up for another class. This time- I arranged my work schedule for 6 weeks to have Sunday's off. I called an hour before the class was supposed to start only to find out that it was cancelled. No one called to let me know and now I've arranged my work schedule for a schedule I didn't want for 6 weeks! I talked to a manager and all I get is a refund that I have to come in to the store to get. Absolutely ridiculous and completely unprofessional behavior. read more

And if they were professional like they claim to be then, they would know it is not ok to shave a Alaskan Malamute. There coats DO NOT grow back the same. I really like the folks at this location. The store is always clean and usually well stocked. My only complaints would be to stock heavier on items like Flys Off Ointment at the beginning of summer. There is a huge run on the pest control items at that time of year and they always seem to run out. Wish I knew why they discontinued carrying the Bronco Spray and Corona ointments. I have to drive into SB now to get the things I really need. I will add that this store treats my dogs fantastically and always offers him a cookie... though he doesn't like the taste of them. read more

I went go this petsmart store and a petco to buy guppies. I bought three from petsmart and four from petco. Two days pass and all the pet smart fishes started dying off! I have been coming to this location for almost 2 years. I have my dog groomed here every couple of months and they always do a really good job. Today, I had Iliana as a groomer, and she did an exceptional job. I asked that she cut my dog a tiny bit shorter and blend her head and muzzle shorter too. After some nudging the store manager, Angel gave me a refund on a purchase I made at the Northridge store. The problem was I didn't have the credit card I purchased the item with which made no sense to me. I had the receipt and the record of my sale should have been enough. I understand the store policy is that you must have not only the receipt, but the actual credit card you used to purchase the items you want to return. I tend swap out my cards to use them evenly to avoid non-use charges... Anyway, I do applaud Angel for taking the initiative to provide excellent customer service. Training: Tiffany is a great trainer, she did wonders for our puppy.

I cannot prove anything but I know my gut is right about the people working here; I seriously doubt their sincerity in handling difficult animals. My dog is a rescue dog, and when I say "rescue," I mean that he was literally picked up from the street by me. He came with many behavioral issues which made me try to find its' owner and not give him to the county shelter because I knew they would have put him down due to his aggression. He has never bitten me but has bitten others around me. So, to make a long story short, he is a very difficult dog to groom and due to this, for the last 2 years, I used freelance groomers. Because of convenience, I took him to Pet Smart. A couple of days later, he developed a nasty greenish tone bruise on his side and a severe limp on one of his hind legs. Like I said, I cannot prove anything. But, if you have difficult pets, don't take them to Pet Smart. My husband spoke to an outside groomer the following day, and she told him that she used to work for Pet Smart and related to him how some of the groomers there just do it as a job (not paid well) to earn money, and are brutal to difficult animals. I was sick to my stomach when I saw the bruise and the limp. I know he's an aggressive animal during grooming, but he has a sweet side to him, which is what made me keep him and spend a lot of money on neutering, micro-chipping, and vaccinations. No animal deserves to be treated cruelly. Seriously why must you guys email coupons for "free dog food" only to be treated like you're stealing it?? I went into PetSmart tonight and the cashier treated me like I was trying to scam her or steal the food!! She told me I could only use 1 coupon but they were all different. Then she asks me to enter my number and she must have missed it since she had to walk away to tell the manager I was trying to use the coupons and she asked me to re-enter it, when I did it didn't take. She said "That number didn't work, you don't have an account, tell me how u got the coupons because they were only emailed to members." I said "my husband, can I try it again?" I have taken my dogs to the groomers at this PetSmart for quite a few years now every 6 weeks to be exact and have never had any complaints until last week. I had the same groomer for a while until she quit and have gotten a different groomer every time I've taken my dogs since she left. This last time my groomer was CASSIDI. She was by far one of the rudest people I have encountered and top it off, she didn't even do a good job on the grooming itself. CASSIDI didn't even have the decency to bring my dog to me when I went to pick her up. No doggie Pawgress report was given to me as they have always done in the past. And my dog has been scooting on her behind which is what little dogs do when they need there anal expressed, something I paid for and clearly didn't get. either.... Needless to say, CASSIDI will NEVER groom any of my pets ever again. In fact I'm looking into finding another location to take my dogs. read more
