Brought my puppy Dakota in for a bath and emphasized the importance of having her nails trimmed. The technician Samantha brushed it off and was like yeah I'll trim it a little, I pointed out that Dakota has clear nails and they are easy to cut, her nails grow quickly and I would like them to be trimmed. Samantha looked at her nails and said "oh they aren't even long". Mind you her nails touched the asphalt on our walks. When it came to pick up Dakota her nails were barely touched. When Samantha came out she said "I did cut them" when I made a comment about how it was barely touched. She was quick to blame my dog and say "oh she's wild she doesn't sit still". Bella was working the register and offered to help, she brought Dakota back and I could see through the door that Dakota hardly moved while Bella properly trimmed her nails. In addition to that, we did not receive the bow/bandana that is suppose to be included in each visit. Bad experience. read more

I never use the grooming so I can't comment on that. The store is understaffed, that's a corporate problem- you can complain to corporate about it. The employees in the store and check out are always nice and helpful. The customers I've witness- are mainly the problem. They're rude and entitled. They pick up items and randomly leave them around the store then get angry at the couple of people that actually show up to work. I can appreciate the good people that work there and make an effort to do a good job. 95% of time I find what I need. read more

This Petsmart offers a large inventory of items. Their grooming salon is really good, and the groomers are quite accomplished. The staff is friendly and accommodating. That said, I despise going to the store. I invariably stand in line 10 people long with one checkout person at the register. The manager seems to be oblivious to customer service. When paying for grooming, you have to stand in this ridiculous line to check out. It's pretty wack. read more

I love PetSmart but the employees here are incompetent with the exception of the short younger Hispanic woman. I always go out of my way to find her if I need assistance because she always goes above and beyond to help. All of the other staff members have us leaving frustrated and dissatisfied due to their lack of assistance. Today was the worst of the worst. There are multiple lines and so many social distancing markers which makes it very confusing for customers. When we addressed it to an employee (heavier set woman) all she said was "it's confusing for us too!" ...then why don't you fix it?? You do work here! It's not hard to scrape up the tape from where the old line used to be. She said there was a sign marking the front of the line but it's the smallest rinky dink sign written on a sheet of computer paper that is easy overlooked. They just need to do better especially for being so heavily staffed. 10/10 would not return. read more

If I could give zero stars I would!!! I made an appointment for a simple bath and brush for my Shepard mix. I dropped her off at noon...didn't see another dog at all. I was told she would be done in approximately 2 hours. Much longer than necessary but ok... when I didn't hear from them by 3:30 I called to see when she would be done. I was told they needed another 30-45 minutes. This didn't sit well with me so I drove down to see what was going on . When I arrived there were 5 groomers...3 working on other dogs, one helping check out a client and the one I left my sweet dog with just wandering around . I asked where my dog was and was told they still needed to cut her nails and brush her. I told them just get my dog...I'm done. At that point she had been there for 4 hours and had not managed to even finish her BUT they were working on 3 others!!! I was furious....my sweet dog had been locked in a crate for hours... NOT WHAT I SIGNED UP FOR...I was given excuse after excuse....I took her and told them don't even expect me to pay for this abuse...NEVER AGAIN WILL I GO TO PETSMART IN MORENO VALLEY...AND CERTAINLY WONT EVER USE THEIR GROOMERS. Got my dog groomed here twice now with Brandon and I think he does a really good job! He treats my dog with kindness and patience (I have a big dog that loves to jump up). My dog came out clean and happy and I am very pleased. Although I think it's a little over my budget, the groomers are very good. The only thing stopping my rating from getting a 5 star is I feel like check out at the front cashier takes a little too long for my liking. But groomers are wonderful! read more

This business was the only one I seen that was offering training for puppies. I reserved a spot and received an email stating they would call. I never received an email and attempted to call multiple times with no answer. Therefore, I just went to the class as planned. As I approach to sign in, the employee asks if I paid. I told her I don't believe so because nobody called me. She said "oh, well it's full. You can reschedule". I then spoke with the manager who stated they never received anything on their end that's why I was never called. But yet I received the email confirmation. He's said the class is full. We can reschedule. It was so inconvenient and unprofessional. Now I have an untrained puppy and a wasted Saturday morning. I'm extremely disappointed and upset. read more

No one seems to know where your items are in addition to barely acknowledging you, then you wait, wait, wait, eventually, somebody finally finds it and get it ready for you. I visited this store this evening and had a poor encounter with an associate. I asked "Jenn" for help and she was not friendly at all. She had a cart with items she was putting on the shelves. I asked her if I could exchange a dog crate that was missing hardware and if she could help me check if the identical item was in stock or not. She seemed oblivious and said she did not understand me. I repeated myself and then she said I could exchange it if I had a receipt but needed to do it at the front register. She was very dismissive, was no help and insisted I go to the front register for help. To my surprise at the register, I was rung up by her and she had a very nasty attitude. She seemed impatient and incompetent to handle a simple exchange request. Very unprofessional, I asked for a manager and she responded that she was the manager. In my years of shopping in this store, I have never been treated with such poor customer service. She definitely needs a coaching on how to treat customers. She should be demoted from manager since she obviously has no customer service skills. She's not even friendly enough to greet customers at the store. I have four pets so I am constantly coming here.... customer service is AMAZING, I always feel so welcomed... and recognized. My puppy is about to finish puppy training class, and the experience has been great, our instructor Angela is awesome. A cool bonus is that a local shelter, TLC of Inland Empire, brings their puppies/dogs and sometimes kittens here on the weekends so people could check them out and possibly adopt. There are also other kittens kept in the back and brought out on a regular basis. I love bringing my puppy here and I know she loves it as well because she gets treats from the workers... I can't say enough how wonderful the service is here. I have a PetCo members card as well, but I don't usually go there, while I go to this PetSmart at least once or twice a week. read more

I wasn't a firm believer in PetSmart grooming until recently. I love our groomer Ashely (she deserves recognition and praise) at the Riverside CA location PetSmart . She is awesome! She's sweet, she listens to my concerns and offers suggestions for my maltipoo, Toto. And even after he was groomed, if I had a concern that I did not address the day of pick up, I was encouraged to bring him back to get adjusted. Only one time I had to do that and that was to trim his tail so he could "potty" more efficiently. Anywho, I thought of writing a positive note since people are quick to judge and criticize. Good compliments are often overlooked. Good job guys and don't disappoint me or Toto. PS...Tiffany and Angela are awesome trainers! Highly recommended their classes! read more

Line is always ridiculously long as if I'm in a in n out line. Got fish today lady ask what size tank I have as if that's any of her business job isn't to ask personal info about my tanks at home. Had taken Dani Rebel to independent owned groomer here in Moreno Valley a couple years ago where she had a terrible experience they had her for 7 hrs. And had cut her leg and when I picked her up she was clearly nervous frightened and not herself so I started getting mobile groomers. Did not find one I like so tried this Pet Smart . I called this Pet Smart grooming and spoke to Sarah, I explained in detail how Dani Rebel had been mistreated and I had been having mobile groomers ever since she had been mistreated by private owned groomer but did not find a mobile groomer who groomed her the way requested.I also told her that because Dani Rebel had her leg cut and left in a cage for 7 hrs I did not want her in a cage and that I would like her to be bathed and right to grooming. Sarah was concerned and showed compassion , I asked if I could pay extra to have her bathed and straight to grooming and she said yes they provided that service. She said she would be Dani Rebels groomer and would be with her from start to finish.Sarah was excellent with her, because she was a new groomer to Dani Rebel we stayed the entire time and observed. We will definitely be going back to Sarah as she is the best groomer we have ever had groom Dani Rebel and she was done exactly as we requested. read more

This store used to be my go-to for my pets. I would shop here vice the big box stores because of the store personnel. I can not count the number of times I have been in. But my last few visit the customer service has been so bad. Then I tried to order online to buy pass the people figuring they may be had to hire who they had to hire. Since then, I have ordered three times online, and only once did my order goes as planned. This last time I ordered online, I did not get a confirmation as I was told I would once my order was ready to pick up. When I called, I was brushed off, and I was told I could not be helped over the phone since I did not get confirmation even though it was hours after hours were placed. The person who answered the phone should never work in customer service as she was rude and unhelpful, and cared less that I needed my order urgent which is why I order from a store near me and not online from Chewy. The day went on, and I never received the confirmation, then I waited to be told that they didn't have it like my first online order. Then days later, I get an e-mail that I picked up the order (it didn't happen), and I had to wait online for 30 minutes to get this fixed. I can't see myself shopping here again. The lady who works in the fish department named Rosie or Rose is super rude and I don't think she should be working in that area. She interrogated me and my husband while we purchased a Moore fish asking us when did we set up our tank. First of all that is none of her business to be asking us that question. When we said we set it up the day before she became very angry and told us she wasn't going to guarantee the fish for return because he was going to die. She then called on her walkie talkie to the front and told them to write on the receipt that we could not return. I felt like I was in trouble or something for buying a fish. She is not the fish police. She should have minded her own business and put the fish in the bag. That's her job. Unless I asked her a question regarding the fish she has no input and just to put it out there the fish is alive and thriving !!!! I had my prescription but was told by the chatty blond staff that evening she can't honor that and they only accept Banfield cards. This location is the closest to my house, but I'd rather go anywhere else. I accidentally bought expired cat food and they were unhelpful with returning it. Then they didn't even pull the remainder of the expired food when I told the manager about it. I've also placed an online order hours before the store closes, but was told my order wouldn't be ready until the following day. I was also told it takes 2 hours for their system to get my online order, but yet when I asked to cancel it, they did it immediately. I went into the store to get my items since I was told they were too busy to do a stock check/ couldn't fulfill my order, but there were 3 workers all at the first register talking with only 2 people in line. read more

This morning I phoned to make an appointment to have my dog groomed. What a mistake that was. Rarely have I encountered such rude individuals. The person I spoke with peppered me with questions, seemed to be in a huge hurry, interrupting me several times while I was trying to explain that my dog is a rescue, had been abused and I needed to let the grooming department know this in advance. I asked if he could please connect me with grooming and he refused to do so, lashing out at me that I would have to go on line to book the appointment. To say this was egregiously bad customer service would be an understatement. I have been a customer of Petsmart for years, which is why, when I needed a new groomer, I thought of them. No more. I took my 10 month old bully here the other day for his first grooming appointment and he was turned away. This was his first time so he was very nervous and did growl when the associate proceeded to put the harness around him. She took him in the back but another dog on a leash started barking and growling at my dog. Which scared my dog even more. Within 2 min she brought my puppy back out and said to reschedule when they don't have other active dogs being groomed. Like HOW would I know when that is. And HOW is it my fault that my dog is now nervous because of another dog. Could the associate have just muzzled my dog if she was nervous about him biting ? I do NOT recommend same day delivery. Last January 2, I followed the delivery app tracking waiting for my dog food. The guy came, took a photo of my house, did not go to my front door, left without leaving the items I ordered, then updated the app status as "delivered". I have videos showing my (1) front door and (2) front view as proofs at same time of delivery. The door dash app first showed the delivery guy's phone number (which he never answered) but after an hour the phone number was removed. When I called both PetSmart and Door Dash pointed fingers at each other arguing the delivery was made. A day after I received an email from PetSmart that the items were never picked up! ‍ What a customer service, PetSmart changed the story??? To cover each other??? Talk about the best customer service ever! I am immensely impressed with this particular Petsmart's staff and their love and passion for animals. I can't thank the store manager Kerri enough for going above and beyond to resolve our problem. I also want to thank Rachel for taking the time to understand a concern from a customer's point of view, properly handling my call in the utmost professional manner, and also escalating the concern to upper management swiftly. You guys nailed it!!! Here is my story : I adopted a puppy from a rescue agency (TLC of IE) that was set up inside of this particular Petsmart a few weeks ago. Although the adoption/rescue agency was not part of the Petsmart corporation or umbrella, I figured that they were good people to adopt from. My puppy was only about 13 weeks old and had just had his 2nd set of vaccines prior to taking him home. Turns out that my puppy was not well, and had an existing parasitic condition prior to us adopting him. The third morning of having my puppy, he showed signs of being lethargic, no appetite, and diarrhea & vomiting. I attempted to contact the adoption agency around 8am. I continued to monitor my puppy until noon, and his vital signs worsened. With viruses like Parvo and other possible life-threatening illnesses, I wasn't about to take any chances with our new pup. All-in-all, I ended up rushing my puppy to the local Petsmart/Banfield Pet Hospital where I live. I left him with the hospital for Parvo testing and other necessary tests. Hours later, the doctor called me back and concluded that our puppy tested positive for Giardia and will prescribe meds and explained how it could have been contracted. I finally got call back from TLC of IE around 6pm (10 hours after I left them a voicemail, and while I was picking up my puppy from Banfield) and it was definitely NOT an appropriate time nor was it a phone call I had ever expected from these so-called animal lovers. I was basically given the runaround as to why the puppy may have contracted the parasite and unnecessary grief for adopting a pet too far from my home (should that even matter? DTLA to Riverside - 50 miles), that I shouldn't have panicked and took the puppy into Banfield where "they are really expensive" (although I was given a thick welcome booklet that recommends Banfield for all of our future pet health needs - also was I supposed to just sit there and watch my puppy suffer?), and that a reimbursement for the veterinary hospital bill is out of the question (even though I have yet to ask for any financial reimbursement). So instead of asking how the puppy is doing or was there anything they can do to assist me; all they offered was for me to drive 50 miles to go pick up meds and that Giardia is "no big deal". I have been worried out of my mind and running around all day, hoping that my pup will be ok, so do I really need to be on the phone with these people right now? I was in the waiting room at the hospital anxious to see and hold my puppy. You can only imagine the level of stress, anxiety, and anger that was building up for me during this time. I asked if TLC of IE would be willing to send me the meds if I paid for over-night postage thru PayPal or another form of payment - the answer was "No, sorry you have to come pick them up..." - WOW! Well, I basically ended the call, REALLY IRRITATED. I picked up my puppy, paid the vet bill, paid for the medication, and drove home. I was just glad my pup was going to be ok with 2 weeks of meds and a special diet. The next morning I contacted Petsmart's Corporate Headquarters. I explained myself and they advised me to contact the store directly to expedite this and explain what had transpired, so I did. This is where I had the luxury of speaking to Rachel, and within the hour, Kerri personally called me back. The rest is history. Both Rachel and Kerri promised me that they will follow-up and get to the bottom of this. As promised, they came through! I am very thankful for all your generosity and love for us and my new puppy, and we felt the level of care and service through all of this. My puppy is doing very well and we couldn't be more thankful that you guys made it so much easier to be a new pet parent. Customer service of this caliber is extremely hard to come by these days, and I am blown away! I am definitely a Petsmart customer for life after this experience! Thank you Kerri and Rachel from the bottom of my heart!!! ****** P.S. As for TLC of IE - EPIC FAIL! I have yet to receive a follow-up call from you since that day! Do you guys even care if the puppy is still alive?
