The staff members are always helpful and friendly. There's is plenty of parking available in front of store. Be careful because they sold me expired +expensive+ food. Luckily I pay attention and noticed it and didn't use it. I'd guess many people wouldn't notice. For the cost of things here, it definitely left a bad impression. I bought 7 tiki cat compliments and 3/7 were expired, while the other 4 were good until the end of next year. These products were sitting right next to each other on the shelf so.. not sure what to think of that. Selection is lacking at times and the line can get long. I'm not sure how staff at Banfield are as that's separate, or the dog grooming/daycare, etc.. However, on a positive note, general employees at the registers are always pretty nice. Unfortunately, that's not really enough to keep the customer because it's just not a well-rounded shopping experience. I've switched to Petco and come here only when I can't make the trip over there. I mainly do shopping for family members in the first place, whose neighborhood PetSmart stores are even worse. I'll be telling them to try Petco as well. Tip 1: they price match with chewy. Check prices for your products online on chewy .com and if it's available there cheaper, just show them at the register and they'll adjust it without any problem. Tip 2: they'll ask if you want a printed receipt (as opposed to a digital receipt in your treats account+sign up for this to collect points and get offers). I always ask for both because printed receipts will oftentimes have decent coupons on them, like they do at CVS. read more

So back in November 2022, I went into Banfield for my newly adopted pet. The tech at the desk offered me the Banfield membership but I was most concerned about vaccinations and spade. She told me that the spading could get included and the first time fee would be waived if I applied on-line from home with specifying the West Covina site. So I went home and did exactly that but it was all a lie. When i went back for my appointment, I was told that they couldn't include the spay in the plan. I would have to pay separately and there was no such thing as waiving the first time membership fee!!! Ugh!! They have clean up stations if your dog poops or pees. They have a good return policy. We returned dog food with the receipt without a problem. Except we bought a wonder woman harness I took off the tag to try it on. It didn't fit. I wasn't able to return it without the tag. When we have a question someone always tries to assist us. We weren't sure what to give our dogs because their allergies and a sales rep from rachel ray helped us choose food that tasted good for them, was healthy, and didn't contain chicken or beef. They have a variety of stuff and animals. I feel bad the cats have a small area and have to be in front of the glass all day. It would be nice if they got play time or more space to run around. I go in often of treats, toys, and food for my fur babies. I decide to set an appointment for my Girl (110lb German Shepherd) to get a cut. I gave them the run down she doesn't like her rear touched (she was born without a tail) she doesn't like her paws touched she will growl so just leave them as they are. I NEVER have put her in a cage so when she goes in she is vocal but not at all aggressive EVER. She gets prettied up and they call to say she is ready to come home. I get to the grooming area and of course she is excited to see me and go. They give me the feed back of she growled when we touched her paws, and she didn't let us trim around her "tail" area. I just replied "Yes I'm fully aware, I'm sorry about that. She looks beautiful!" I call in the next month to schedule an appointment. I wanted to give them a second chance. I spoke to a woman and she was nice. She says ok I have ____ day available at 0:00 ok. Ok I'll take it, she requested the name of my pet and when I gave it to her she paused. Her: Oh I'm sorry I can't schedule your pet for that Time we have notes she's difficult and needs extended time. Me: "Excuse me! My Girl is not difficult, they simply didn't follow my initial instructions." Her: We don't have a slot until 2 more weeks, if that will work? Me:No thank you! I don't want an appointment after all. Her: I'm sorry! Me: ok thank you bye End of conversation, but how are you going to tell me my baby is difficult, when I Gave you specific directions and you didn't follow them to make us all have an easier time. (PETSMART GROOMING) I hate to be writing a bad review. I've never wanted to be or feel like a Karen but damn you guys gave me no choice ! :/ came on November 11th for a bath and nail trim for my dog. I admit I was late and hadn't paid my phone bill so they couldn't reach me on time. I apologized I understand that can be frustrating but the only woman at the front desk had the worst attitude. But I can get over that I get it I messed up. However I got no look of confidence when she saw my dog kizzie. Kizz is a small bully mix. What people would see as a "pitbull" when she isn't. There was no friendly interaction, it felt off to Me. She was doing the check in and I of course told her of kizzies dog reactivity she is not aggressive ! She doesn't lung or snap/ go into a barking fit she just doesn't like them in her space she's 10 years old it should be understandable. I did my best to explain she isn't out right aggressive she just doesn't like dogs in her face and so on. She would then tell me she has to ask if she can take an aggressive dog in. And had a manager brought in to basically deny us. It was my fault for going to PetSmart I thought it was a joke with all the articles saying Petsmart denies Bully type dogs. I had the expectation I'd get the same service as I would at Petco where I've been many times to groom kizzie with absolutely no issue. And so I did just that ! I called the petco over by West Covina and fashion plaza and they took me right in with no appointment. They were empathetic to the situation. I just couldn't believe it, it was disheartening to have my dog denied. But I'm glad she was, the woman at the front desk had no look of confidence with kizzie and I doubt she would've done a good job. I can't believe you guys drove me to be a Karen and right a damn review on yelp. I really thought there was no difference in the petco and petsmart establishments but damn are the differences obvious. I took my German shepherd for a bath, which included ear cleaning, teeth cleaning nail clipping, and anal gland expression. I opted out of nail clipping and anal gland expression because her nails were in great shape(short) and didn't want THEM to deal with expressing her anal glands. I mean, I was definitely being considerate, which was pointless, since they don't seem to appreciate that. I pick up my dog and she looks clean and happy. I didn't think of checking her teeth and ears Her ears were still dirty! And her teeth weren't clean, I'm did not ask Andrew not to clean her teeth. And specifically told him about her ears and just a friendly reminder to be careful with her ears, he said ok, I pick her up and the young lady that return her to me did not say she was difficult or bad and I asked if she was a good dog. I will be returning to hope, they just "FORGOT" to clean her ears and her dirty teeth. But will not be taking her back. She did look clean and brushed, but what else should I expect, that would just be a shame if they didn't when I payed on his recommendation for and extra 15 minutes of hair brushing. read more

It's clean-ish, the parking is easy, the prices are what you'd expect, and the air is filtered just enough to keep needs like me from having allergies. There is a boarding area inside as well as a pet training center that I snapped a photo of. Outside they have a little stand with animal poopie bags for cleanup. I would return. read more

I wish I could leave 0 stars. I brought my dog to the North Babylon, NY location. I received a phone call to tell me that the groomer was running behind which I appreciated. Several hours passed and my husband picked up the dog. I specifically had mentioned my dog needs to be completely dry which was not the case. I paid for the extra services, upgrade, etc. which was not provided. My husband called Petsmart to say that some of the items were missing like $400 coupon book, bandana, treat, etc. The person seemed annoyed and unapologetic and said we can come back to get our items. It gets worse because at 3:00 am my dog began vomiting and having diarrhea every hour for 2-3 days. The vet believes the dog may have eaten or picked up some sort of a virus. I visited the store a few days later to inform them of the possible virus and to get my coupon book. I stood at the counter for over 10-15 minutes with no one even looking up or coming over. This place is ridiculous. Zero manners, no one is helpful, and the services are terrible. I refuse to ever go to another Petsmart. When I went back to the cashier for help again, she just shrugged her shoulders! Horrible. read more

Small location, located at the Eastland Center, on the same side as Target. They are right next to Dollar Tree. I came by here yesterday with my husband looking for a dog stroller (yes I have now became one of those dog owners... lol) because of their friends & family sale (15% off entire purchase, unfortunately at the time of this review, the sale is now over). I was rather disappointed to see such a small selection and ended up not buying them (dog strollers are actually half the price on Amazon... but my husband is trying to convince me that we don't need one, lol). I also came in looking for melatonin chews for my little dog because we are planning on taking her on our next trip on the plane and figured it may help in case she may be anxious (it will be her first time on a plane, but my husband thinks I'm more anxious about her being on the plane than her, lol). The "calming" chews available (which do not have melatonin) were rather expensive, but they are currently buy one, get one half off. But even with the special promotion and the friends and family sale is still a bit too expensive and so we decided not to get it (each product was around $18-$22 each). Anyways, as I had mentioned earlier, this location is rather on the small side. But there is a Banfield Pet Hospital here (at the back of the store), training and grooming services available. But there is no pet hotel here and no doggie day camp either. This Petsmart still has the essentials if you are looking to stock up on needed pet supplies, but I think I will just stick to my regular location (in Monrovia). read more

So this is an update from to my experience on Sat Jan 26th. After coming home I was upset and sad from the outcome that happened and wrote my review. Yesterday Sun Jan 27 I received an unexpected call from Kevin a manager at Petsmart Eastland. He wanted to speak to me about what happened on Sat. I literally was caught off guard. He sincerely apologize and told me this is not acceptable and not how Petsmart operates. He says he feels bad that I left without the cat that I intended on getting when I went in. He said there was miss communication between Petsmart and the Paws Mission. He said that he is going to speak to them and find some sort of resolution so that way this will never happen again. For me I think it was more emotional seeing the cat that was on hold for me go to someone else. Some might think just get another one, but it's not that easy!!! This is a pet I am going to have forever! It's not picking out your outfit for the day. This is for the lifetime of the animal. This is not just a oh we will get more so you have more to pick from. I believe that was not understood by the Paws Mission. He did reach out to Jessica who is with Paws Mission to see if there is anything that can be done. She was willing to give me a discount. I really appreciate it but at this time this me experience killed it for me. I told him i wanted to speak to her about it so he provided me with her number. He knew I did not want to ever go back or shop at Petsmart again and did not want me to leave like that. He asked if I was willing to give them another chance. He wants to make it better. He said I know I can not get her back but knew I had another cat and offered a GC if I was willing to except it. I hesitated for a second and thought he really does care about my experience so it would not be fair to not give them a second chance. Today I called corporate and told them about my negative experience that turned into a positive one. I wanted to recognized Kevin for going what feel is him going above and beyond. I typically go to the Petsmart Groomers n Glendora but they take way too long for my dog even with an appt. I have been going for about 12 years now and have 2 dogs. They took at least 3-4 hours for his appt and that is not acceptable. It was difficult to find parking. I do like their prices so I went to the Petsmart in the Eastland Shopping Ctr and saw Priscilla last month. She was very friendly and gave Scout his bath and brushed his teeth too. This review is for the grooming. I always make sure to book with Kevin. If you book online, they use his first name which is Adan. But he goes by Kevin. He does an amazing job each time I take my dog. He knows what I want every time I go in and does it perfectly. I like my baby clean shaven all around. Kevin gets this, and when I get my dog back he looks great. Yes, Pet Smart is more expensive. And yes, I probably should be supporting small business owners and their grooming shops in the area, but I've tried so many over the past 6 years and they don't give me what I want. So I'm willing to pay the extra $30. (The actual service is $15 more than local competitors but I also give an additional $15 gratuity). Bonus is, is that I get a report card saying how my dog did and it comes with coupons. The best coupon in there is $10 off a day of doggie day camp. I save these because they come in handy on days I'm really busy and don't want to leave my dog home alone all day. So instead of paying $22 to have him looked after, I pay $12 using the coupon I got from grooming. read more

This is the only groomer I've taken my dog to for the past 2 years now. My dog has a specific groomer and her name is Alysa O. She does such an amazing job every time I take my dog. She knows how to treat my dog and she knows how to handle her because my dog doesn't like the blow dryer all that much but she still gets it done. I'm always satisfied on how my dog looks every time whether it's just a bath or a groom. I also love when she tells me what my dog behaved on and what she didn't like to get done that day because that lets me know to bring her more often for her to get more used to it. This is also my 3rd yelp review for Petsmart. I also highly recommend Alysa as your groomer for 1st timers because she is such an amazing person. We brought this to the attention of an employee and she told us they have no other housing for chinchillas. And that they have never had any problems. I was at petsmart buying a 3 month flea & tick trestment for my dog. The young man that assisted me was very nice and friendly. If i had a business i would hire this young man for suggesting other items for pet, good sales person, but i didn't get his name. Very clean cut, hispanic. When i was checking out at the register i decided to buy the 6 month treatment, which was over $100. A young lady named diane suggested that i look on line because sometimes it could be less expensive and they can price match. I asked the employee working the bandfield desk and was told I needed to ask an employee to check the stock room for a larger bag. After walking around for about 7 minutes I found an employee who saw me and turned her back & pretended to be busy. I approached her & asked for help. She walked over to the shelf and shrugged her shoulders and said I don't think we carry any larger bags. My dog got groomed recently and when I walked in the workers in the grooming salon did not seem experienced by the looks of things, and I got my dog back and his nails were chopped so short he couldn't walk, you could see the inside of his nails there were WAY TO short . He does not care about animals, and he is very rough in handling them. I felt so sorry for the doggie he was grooming. :( He has a nasty attitude in general, even in dealing with people. He is condescending when talking to the other employees. I feel bad for his co-workers. The appt is 3-4 hours long.. which is a little long but is ok. We dropped our dog off and he seemed fine. there was 3 other dog there getting cut and there were about 4 people to showed up right after us to drop off our dog. so that kind of put my nerves at ease. (the more people that go there, the better. i would never go through if there was NO other dogs there, that would of been a big red flag) When we finally picked up my dog, he looks good, nails were cut pretty nicely. Price was good, actually cheaper then we thought. YAY! Over all it was a good experience. BANFIELD: i have taken my dog to the Banfield hospital, i would recommend only taking your dog there if its an emergency and your regular vet is closed. They are good buy way to EXPENSIVE. I understand that they want to take extra precaution and make sure your dog is very well taken care of, but don't make me feel like im being robbed. My dog was dehydrated and they wanted to do testing, antibiotics and over night stays with transportation with cost well over a thousand dollars, we end up just getting an electrolyte bubble put on his neck and took him to his regular vet the next day. good thing, because by the next day he was back to normal running around and his vet said that he just needed electrolytes.
