Found this place after searching for fast food nearby after my son's baseball game at Bakersfield Park. We got large fries to share, a chicken sandwich, a double smashburger, mint chocolate chip milkshake, and a hamburger kid meal. Everything was delicious but I especially loved the smashburger. Yes. There is a local restaurant in South Lewisville you have to try. Food was excellent and not the standard menu we have come to expect from other places. I like the hot crinkle fries. So much has been written...and you can feel confident. No need really to say it over. Staff was friendly and helpful. Seating was small with outside picnic tables. I highly recommend Bae's Kitchen. Looking at Bae's menu, there are lots of things that sound really tempting. I am a huge fan of Korean fusion burgers and I have had some amazing ones in the past, so the bar is really high for me. Sadly, I wasn't enthralled with either the Korean bae burger or the Korean style fries. I think the biggest issue is that rhe "thin sliced beef" they put on them isn't bulgogi, it is just bland thin well done roast beef kind of meat. It didn't enhance either the burger or fries. The bun was nondescript and although the kimchi on the burger was fine there was just something missing. As a frequent LA Burger patron, there is just no comparison and Bae's is nowhere near the same league in the Korean burger and fry fusion game. The fries were not crisp even before having the toppings added so they tasted really starchy, but overall were probably a little better than the burger. Hubby did really like his fiery bae chicken sandwich though he said even the medium was really hot. I see a lot of folks recommend the birria tacos so I will probably try those next time though I really hope they don't use the same bland beef on those. The highlight of the meal for me were the milkshakes. The small is plenty large. I had the gulab jamun shake and Hubs had the Reese's. Both were good; I think his was marginally better but no complaints. I will try some of the other milkshake flavors as well. All in all, I would give them another chance on other menu items but their burger fusion is meh. read more

Overall it was good...a solid 6 out of 10. We tried the birria, the chicken, a burger, and fries - both regular and K-style. The birria is good - it's beef - and the au jus was also nice. Lean and not fatty. The chicken was a huge piece and medium spice packed a good punch, but the entire breading slid off the breast after a bite so we ended up with a naked chicken breast and biting the breading bite for bite. The k-style fries were good, the kimchi wasn't too overpowering. The portions, I will say were pretty decent so we definitely felt it was a good value. I don't know if we'll be back, but it was definitely worth a try! read more

I've said it a couple times now and I'm happy to say it more, having non-Muslims extend the good grace and kindness to serve halal meat at their stores are something I'll always be grateful for. I'm forever willing to give business to and forgive small mistakes in order to keep businesses like these coming. With all that said, this is a top tier place against any Halal competitor. The man working the front was super kind and accommodating, telling us what exactly they had that was Zabihah vs Machine cut, and even gave us a heads-up and offered to call the owner to check if he had any doubt or didn't have some reassurance. He dealt with all of our questions and concerns both professionally and amicably and I'm happy to have had him. The cook in the back even gave us a friendly little wave! The food here is quite unique, even for a non-halal restaurant, in that you're getting typical modern American dishes with Mexican and Korean influences. It's the delicious center of a cuisine venn diagram that you won't see anywhere else between here and LA. The burgers are perfectly topped and seasoned at a price you really can't beat. The wings, both boneless and bone-in, were cooked through while staying juicy. The different flavors were exciting, although a little less impactful than expected; still some of the best I've had of late. The Philly cheesesteak was a classic, with thin, juicy beef and melted cheese whiz to really bring it from Philly and back. The hot chicken sandwich wasn't blow your head off spicy, but it had different spots that offered different amounts of sauce vs spice. The chicken definitely should have been crispier though. The Birria is the most unique item here, composed of stewed beef and a side of broth. The meat on the sub could definitely have used more cooking, but our tacos were fall apart tender before they got dipped. These were an experience of their own, well worthy of their Instagram fame. All in all, there's so many things going right here and not many things that aren't. If they weren't a fair drive away from me I'd be in here at least 2-3 times a week. As it stands, it's guaranteed that I'll be coming here every month so long as their quality stays up and they keep offering Zabihah options. Highly recommend. read more

We got food to go from here. Great food, customer service and a friendly owner. They have an extensive menu with tons of delicious options. The prices were good for quality food. Our favorite things were the wings (lemon pepper/sweet & spicy chili), Sweet & Savory BAE Burger, Philly Cheesesteak, Hot Nashville Crispy Chicken Sandwich and the Birria tacos. The boba was good and we especially enjoyed the Salted Caramel milkshake. Will definitely eat here again and recommend to others! read more

I got the Fiery chicken(level 3) sandwich and hot fries. First thing, it's super delicious. I generally don't prefer burgers/sandwiches, but this will be my goto place from now. Next, very good portion and a quality food. And last the spicy, I loved it. If you are a fiery person, just go for the level 3, it's worth it. One thing I noticed in fries is not enough salt. I understand construction accoss the street is raining dust clouds towards you but yours was the only business in the strip that had several days caked up on the glasses. The menu and displayed and the prices are fair. The main entrées was great but just because you saturate the fries with chili powder don't make them Cajun. I would return for this , sooo good, some heat , crispy fries, good amount of toppings. My husband got the hot honey chicken sandwich big ole perfectly cooked hot sandwich, I was Jealous. My husband loved it. I got the birre tacos. They were made well good amount of meat, tortillas were grilled nicely. I was a huge fan of this place (see my previous review), but they are total hit or miss. Sometimes the food is amazing, other times not so much. Unfortunately my last few experiences haven't been great, and quality has gone downhill. Additionally, the owner is not very personable, and shows no appreciation for regular customers, I've also had the displeasure of witnessing him talking down to his staff a few times which is a total turn off. No body cares about customer service. Anytime you call and place an order its never ready when you arrive. The guys working behind the counter know what their doing it takes them 20 minutes just to get out one singular boba drink. The environment is always unwelcoming. I don't understand why you would open a business and just not care about it or how your employees represent your business. And anytime you take to any of the workers to place an order you have to repeat yourself 2-4 times and half the time they still won't understand you. -100/10 read more

We ordered the birria tacos (comes with broth/jus/dip and this delicious little tangy salsa-type topping), the hamburgers, the k-style fries (very, very good but needed more cheese, it was on the dry-side), but the holy grail item was the crispy fish sandwich. Comfort food at its best! Definitely revisiting when I crave this again and I never even got behind the whole chicken sandwich craze this year! But, this one was perfection!
