They're loaded with all different kinds of meats and I've never tried anything like it. The people were very nice as well, it's a quiet little hole in the wall. Still on the hunt for the best Mexican food in Dallas. I walked into this place and it had that nostalgic feel. Mexican music playing, the smell of good food and horchata and of course the old school 25 cent machines we all remember as a kid. I ordered the asada burrito. This is the first place that I feel has very decent asada meat. I loved the burrito, it had rice and beans as well as cheese. I requested extra cheese in case it was too little. It also had vegetables (lettuce and sliced tomato + guac) I loved everything about the burrito except that the vegetables made the burrito cold. The tortilla could have been pressed on the grill. I ended up waiting to have it at home to reheat. I pan grilled it and I really think it took it to the next level. I highly recommend the restaurant start grilling the outside. All in all, it was a really great burrito, asada tacos were good enough that I would order again. The salsa verde was out of this world! Very spicy but in a good way. Lots of flavor. I went with the Birria Taco plate and a Chicken Street taco. They don't skimp on the meat serving. The street tacos come with your choice of red or green sauce. Green sauce was flavorful and a nice compliment to the chicken. The birria taco plate comes with 4 tacos and consumme sauce. Surprisingly the birria tacos had a nice spice to it which I was a big fan of. Overall 4.5 and Tortas DF definitely hit the spot on a Tuesday. read more

Omg.... The only reason there's less than 5 stars is because part of my order was left out. Other than that, incredible! I have never had quesabirria before and I'm kicking myself for not coming in person, but those were delicious. The meat was tender, the consommé was ridiculously flavorful (I saved the leftovers that I have no idea how to use), and they considerately packaged the onions & cilantro apart from the tacos for anyone who doesn't like them but I used it alllll. It was a generous amount, too. The torta was delicious and HUGE. I got the american torta simply because that's my meat preference, and now I must try them all. I will say there MIGHT be one problem - the filling is concentrated in the middle so you have to wait to reach ALL the goodness but still. Delicious. The quesadillas were kinda weird to me, I always expect something pan-fried and almost flat even if it's not cut into perfect little triangles. This, however, was more of a taco. A little weird but no big deal, it was so tasty! I dumped both red and green sauce on there - wonderfully spicy and adds a lot to the taste. I ordered mine with suadero and it was so tender and juicy. The alambre dish is worshipped on here so of course I had to have a shot at it. Y'all were correct. I barely used the tortillas that came with it because I basically just wanted to scoop up the veg+protein. I added a little red sauce to add a kick and it paired really well. I grabbed 2 mexican cokes and there was something off about the taste. Then the food arrives and my carne asada burrito was cold on the inside. My chicken tacos looked rubbery.
