I've been wanting to give this place a try for awhile. It seems like it's been in this location for many years and I often drive by and wonder. I recently had my chance, made a reservation, and stopped in (with about 8 other family members) on a Friday evening. The place was dead, so we all got a little worried. But the staff was nice and seated us right away (of course). A lot of people seem to order takeout/delivery here. The interior is a bit plain but still wonderfully decorated in traditional Thai decor. We ordered the basil chicken, drunken noodles, red curry, pad Thai, orange chicken, and pineapple fried rice, and fried banana for desert. Everything was outstanding, and came out fairly fast given the large order!! I'd never had red curry or basil chicken before and I am now a huge fan!! My young daughter loved the red curry and couldn't stop eating it. She's also now a huge fan! Everyone agreed the food was excellent. I've had a lot of good Thai food, and this place is one of the best. The service was more like 3-4 stars, but the food alone was 5+ stars, so it balances out. Can't wait to come back! read more

After a long weekend of driving, my husband and I decided to use up our Uber Eats credit since we were both too tired to cook. I came across this place on the Uber Eats app and noticed they had BOGO deals on a few of their dishes. It is a Halal Thai place so we were interested in how the food would be like here since we have never seen a fusion like this before. We ended up ordering majority of it so that way we had food to put together our lunchboxes for work for the week. We got 2 orders of Pad Thai (Chicken and Tofu), 2 orders of Drunken Noodles (Chicken and Tofu), 2 orders of Egg Rolls, 2 orders of Chicken Tikka Kabab, 2 orders of Thai Tea, and 2 orders of Vanilla Ice Cream. As you can see, we got 2 orders of everything because that was the beauty of their BOGO deal on Uber Eats! All of this was about $150 but we only paid around $65! Definitely a steal and so worth it! We picked up the food and took it home and the food was still pretty hot. Even the ice cream wasn't as melted. We ate a little bit of everything and it was all good! Given the fact that this place was a Halal Thai fusion, the Medium spice level was way too spicy for me. 1 of the Drunken Noodles and Pad Thai orders we did a Mild spice level and the other Drunken Noodles and Pad Thai we did a Medium spice level. If you aren't able to handle spice like me, definitely stick to the Mild spice level or no spice at all. I typically can handle Medium but the Medium spice level here was way too much for me so I will probably stick with the Mild spice level here from now on the next time we order from here. Overall and despite me not being able to handle the Medium spice level, all the food has a very satisfying taste and made us full for the rest of the day! read more

I ordered through DoorDash and everything was underwhelming. The food quality was poor, specifically the flavors of the pad thai and mango sticky rice. However, service was quick and food was still hot upon arrival. I am not sure what the restaurant atmosphere is like but I will not be a returning customer. read more

Phaya Thai is under new management. The new owners gave the worst service we have ever had. All three of our orders were incorrect. We ordered by the number and the waitress didn't know what the numbers meant so took the menu from us and wrote some stuff on her handheld computer and then disappeared for about a half hour. All three dishes were wrong. It took so long to get that we couldn't reorder. I nicely commented on the wrong noodles, wrong meat and wrong veggies and received no apology, not even a kind word. Here is my two cents on the food and delivery. My food was delivered by Grubhub. It arrived, still hot in a timely manner. . I order chicken, red curry . It was just spicy enough with lots of chicken and other vegetables withbeans . Actually, on arrival it was too hot to eat. I had to wait for it to cool off for about five or 10 minutes. . My only regret was I did not order rice . They used to always give you rice free of charge but now you have to order it. Additionally, it seems. But it was very good food and they had plenty of chicken in it. I do recommend you try. read more

Random, cute little Thai Place in the corner of this shopping center! Definitely "mom and pop" vibes forsure. My 4 stars are really for my experience, since I only ordered a Beef Salad to go. I'm all about customer service and the gentleman there who greeted me and took my order was the sweetest. The salad was a bit pricey being $18 with tax! BUT.. I do have to admit, the salad itself was very filling! It was packed with tomatoes, cucumbers, onions, lettuce and MEAT! Check out the difference of what it looks like in its to go container vs on my plate.. The sauce had a decent chili lime flavor, but was a bit on the watery side. This was real good! Apparently, it's under a new owner. It was our first time visiting and definitely going back again. We got the wonton pot and chicken drunken noodles. Overhearing the table next to us there were 5 spice levels before well now there's 6. We got 3 - medium spicy and I was spiced up! As a person that enjoys spicy food but not super spicy, 3 was perfect. The wonton soup had such great flavor. According to the menu I didn't see an option to pick the wonton meat. I was fine with ground chicken but I can imagine it tasting as good with pork or shrimp. The service was great. Big thumbs up on the service. Super attentive and we felt welcomed. read more

We were excited to find halal Thai food nearby and have never been here before. The staff were kind and friendly. We were impressed with the wonton soup to start. We ordered too much food but will have great leftovers- the garlic eggplant with shrimp, chow mein with chicken, and orange chicken were all beautifully presented and had excellent flavor. As others have said, the wait after ordering was about 25 minutes but the environment was comfortable. We definitely recommend and will be back soon. read more

Finally made it in an evening before they closed. First time here, never had Halal Thai food before. I ordered the chicken pad thai level 2 spicy and drunken noodle with chicken also level 2 spicy, as well as a thai iced tea. They were out of their normal milk so it was substituted with coconut milk which was fine by me. I love coconut. Dishes were good sized portions. Everything was very frsh and hot. The pad thai was lacking chicken, and the drunken noodle had a ton of chicken, but was lacking noodles. They balanced out nicely. Lol I am sure glad I only got level 2 spicy as it was pretty spicy and I like spice. They were very busy with internet orders, I was advised to call ahead to not have to wait for the next time. Service is the worst I've ever seen. My friends and I were the only ones there and it took them 30 min just to bring us our appetizer. For the papaya, it was only a small portion, most of the portion were lettuce. The side order is steamed rice costs $2 but it was smaller than a handful. Food is only mid. Me and my family use to go here all the time, we lived the won ton soup it was the best around! But I think they are under new ownership because I placed an order for pick up last night and when I walked in it was not the same person I am use to seeing running the front, so I was concerned that the food had changed, when I got home we tried the fried rice which was good along with the pad woon sen, I also got my fav which is drunken noodle and the won ton soup I was sort of disappointed it was not the same we did not even finish those two and usually the soup is the first to go. A couple years after my first review, I have to add a star! Yesterday I ordered the pad Thai via DoorDash and WOW! The noodles and prawns were cooked perfectly, the serving of prawns was generous, not too oily and still hot from the pan. Another bonus is that their definition of "spicy" is in line with mine...I've been to too many Thai restaurants that have served me up what I call "White people spicy," ie: not at all. We ordered with Postmates and decided to try a new Thai. So I can only rate the food, not the restaurant. We had the fresh rolls that were yummy! I love the fresh cucumbers. My son ordered the Pad Thai, and it was the bomb. I ordered the Panang Curry with vegetables. The Curry tasted great, but it does not come with rice or noodles. I wish I had paid more attention to the recent reviews which commented there was new ownership. What was called Tom Yum soup was , in a word, "not." Inedible pieces in it, thin broth-- a fail. The spring rolls were nothing more than a shrimp thrown into a bed of lettuce and placed inside a rice wrapper-- no seasoning and no other components. The curry was more like a soup, with a few token veggies. The rice pudding with mango was decent mango with a hard-as-a-rock so-called rice pudding that I could barely cut with a sharp knife. Oh-- and the food was 30 minutes later than promised. I don't know why since the restaurant was empty and there was only one other to-go order. Disappointing and I will not go again. There are plenty of other Thai options in the area. read more
