I came here at various times on my business trips awhile back but never reviewed. I had this sweet older lady who waited on me multiple times, funny enough. She was excellent; very friendly and caring. As a lobster roll aficionado, I got the lobster roll with waffle fries, and was worth every penny. Good sized lobster roll for the price in comparison to other lobster rolls I have had at other places. The hostess is so very friendly here. I stopped on a recent trip and wasn't sure I had time, but she told me where my gate was and said I'd be fine. My waiter was extremely polite as well and fast. I had a great bowl of lobster bisque and a drink and it completely rejuvenated me for the rest of my trip. It's nice to have a real food option in an airport. It even nicer to have great service. I love seafood, if you are in Atlanta at the airport near the terminal D you must make a pit stop here, I love the place so much that I did my stop twice, when I arrived in Atlanta and when I was going back home. They are very fast, a good thing if you are traveling in a hurry. I recommend eating the waffle fries with shrimp delightful dish; I love the spicy flavor that were in the shrimps and the different type of salsa that came with it, very juice and fresh. read more

Traveling the east coast, Phillips is in quite a few airports and I will often stop in and grab a lunch or just a beer depending on the time. When ATL got one here at the airport - Concourse D, I stopped in as I was on my way to Houston and felt like some crab. The crab cake sandwich for and airport location was pretty damn good. Sure, not the best crab cake you ever had but quite good, presented well, and the waffle fries were hot and crispy. Got a Sam Adams to compliment it and ended up staying to wait for a flight pretty long .Food came out quick- important- so since I stayed a bit- I ordered another one. I've had the lobster roll here as well, which also was tasty but a bit more mix than I like and quite pricey but I didn't leave a bite!! Airport prices apply but happy I stopped in. Its a chain and I've been to the one at Providence RI, yes- did seem to be better there but happy here in ATL. Staff was on point, so if you have some time to spare, try it out. I had a brief layover, so I stopped in for an appetizer. I ordered the Seafood Sampler: calamari, butterflied shrimp & crab minis. It was served up hot, fresh, and fast! I was impressed with how good everything was. The sampler also included sweet potato bites. They aren't mentioned on the menu, so they were a great surprise. Grabbed lunch here recently and it was pretty good. The restaurant has plenty of seating with tables and a bar, and it's open, airy and spacious and located in terminal D right off the shuttle elevators. I ordered their Caesar salad with salmon. The food was delicious with a good balance of ingredients in the salad and salmon cooked to perfection. I also had their infamous crabcake, too which was just fabulous. It was extremely flavorful and really enjoyed it. The service was awesome. The server was extremely polite, helpful and welcoming. She was very attentive and efficient. We are waiting for our flight home and saw Phillips Seafood, was a little skeptical initially but decided to give it a try. My husband and I shared shrimp and a crab cake. Of course this is airport, so it's always more expensive than eating outside of the airport. I must have had one of the last flights into ATL last night. I saw Phillips on my way to my connection and decided to grab something for dinner. Even though they were closing in minutes, you would have never known-they took orders until the very last minute. Everyone was so nice and friendly too-even to go as far as making sure you didn't need extra ketchup etc (while closing)! Great service and my fish tacos were just fine!! read more

This place takes a little time, so don't be in a hurry for your plane. The extra time is worth it. The Blackened Fiskh Tacos were awesome. Surprisingly for an airport restaurant, it was some of the best fish tacos, especially with Baja sauce. read more

Anytime I fly into Atlanta for work, this is my go to. Great food, great service and always right by my gate. As a frequent Yelper, can't believe I've never done a review so let's clear that mishap right now lol. My go to is the Calamari, Mahi Sandwich or this Shrimp basket with crab cakes. Although I had the grilled chicken breast this visit, the other entree items were equally delicious. Phillips is always packed anytime I've come but I mean it's the airport but people always look like they're enjoying their food. I would recommend sitting at the bar if you can find a seat. I tend to meet nice travelers. The waitresses are always very attentive and there is a since of urgency which I also like. Sometimes I only have 30 mins to eat and get to my gate. The longest I've waited for my food was maybe 10 mins. Have a beer, check your email and eat good food. If I had to mention anything negative, I waited at the hostess desk longer this time around maybe 2-3 mins for someone to seat me which wasn't normal from my many visits. read more

Warm welcome by the hostess, at an airport it can be stressful. I ordered to go New England Clamchowder, Salad, Seafood Dumplings, Lobster Bisque, all was solid. Better than other places in this Atlanta Airport by Terminal D. The hostess/cashier for to go, even brought the food to us while we were across the restaurant drinking coffee in the sitting area. Had a few hour layover and opted to try this place out based on its menu and seafood sounding great. While the service was spot on , the food was quite the letdown. I ordered the crabcake and shrimp platter for 23.99 and fully expected some price hike for being at the airport but it honestly was a joke. Received a few shrimp, 1 small crabcake and a handful of waffle fries. The crabcake was as basic as it can get, most definitely frozen and warmed at order , same with the shrimp which were on par with store-bought freezer breaded shrimp. She is in a wheelchair so getting around is kind of cumbersome going through restaurants. The hostess was pleasant and was helpful in finding us a great seat and helped us navigate through the tables. Then our server Amber took care of us from there. Amber was wonderful!! She seems to really care about the customers. We received a quick meal that was fabulous!! Amber was attentive and understood we were in a hurry. She did her best to get us out quick while still having a pleasant experience!! Also the restaurant was very clean! Huge plus!! I've been to a freestanding location in Atlanta a few times and was hoping this one lived up to the same standards. To my surprise they do! The service here was very fast and the waitress was attentive. I ordered the shrimp and grits with crab on top. The grits are thick and creamy with good seasoning. I'd imagine these grits were cooked using a seafood stock or chicken broth because you can taste the heartiness of flavor. The shrimp were large and prepared blackened. I was contemplating between 3 and 4 stars, but went with 4. To be honest, reviews should be about how good they are regardless of whether they're airport restaurants or not but the truth is, they're just not that good in general. Having said that, Phillips was actually good. I get the sense that Phillips is a recognizable name brand, which I've never had a pleasure of trying. But if this airport version is any indicator, I'd love to give them a shot some time. Had the crab soup and yellowfin tuna sandwich. Both turned out very good. I was in the Atlanta airport (Terminal D) when I saw Phillips Seafood. Phillips is a sit-down restaurant with a bar, dining room and good view of the runway. I ordered the Cream of Crab soup (around $9) and ended up pretty sick. Some of the chunks of crab in the soup were darker in color and tasted like chicken which was strange. About 30 mins later my stomach started feeling very upset and I was sick for most of the afternoon. 2 stars because the customer service at the restaurant was great! Got a hot tip to try the Fish Tacos at Phillip's Seafood in Terminal D while connecting at ATL's Hartsfield-Jackson in route to Mexico. This turned out to be a very solid reco' with great food and providing a comfortable respite from the craziness throughout one of America's busiest airports. We started w/ an order of the highly touted Salt & Pepper Calamari with Phillip's own Pineapple Sweet Chili Sauce which had a great flavor. Lightly breaded, the 'mari was everything I expected and then some. My co-worker jumped on a bowl Phillip's signature Cream of Crab Soup...great aroma with good size chunks of crab. I ordered the recommended Fish Tacos made w/ grilled mahi-mahi and served w/ waffle-cut fries. He tried the Crab Cake Reuben, which was made w/ Phillip's premium lump crab cake, provolone & remoulade slaw on grilled Texas toast. Both entrees scored well. I can now reco' Phillip's Seafood to fellow travelers in the ATL who want more than your standard Chick-fil-A sammy while fighting for a table in the food courts of the busy terminals. 4 stars all the way to Gate 37. read more

By far the best food I've had in an airport. The crabmeat omelette had lumps of crab meat. And the sauce on top was good. The Texas toast is a decision and the potatoes are real potatoes. This place is definitely worth the stop. And they have fresh juice. read more

I had a flight from Atlanta but I was there about 3 hours early so I decided to find somewhere to sit and grab a bite. Phillips seafood was recommended to me by a friend and I am glad I stopped by. I had the crab cakes and fries - it was around 18/19$ which may sound pricey but it was also in the airport so we know how that goes. The portions were not as large as I would've expected it was more of a "snack size," but it was still really good. I'll definitely stop by again and check them out when I am in town. read more

This restaurant is located in the D terminal behind the Food Network restaurant across from the food court. I am giving this place four stars to the lady who greeted me when I first walked in for a quick soup take out order. It was 9:15pm at night and I did not want anything heavy since it was already so late. She was more than willing to help me pick out a soup for myself (they had three soups to choose from). I had a tasting of two out of three and went with the Lobster Bisque. The price is about right for airport standards and the soup was pretty good (so was the crab soup I tasted). Airport food is always expensive and this is no exception. I do feel that I overpaid for my meal, but I left happy nonetheless. Their famous crabcakes were alright, but I really enjoyed their Crab Bisque. The portion sizes could have been bigger, but it's just smaller since this location isn't a "regular" one. I would definitely want to try a Phillips outside the airport setting. The atmosphere was busy and rushed, but the servers and customers were all friendly. There was a positive review of this place for breakfast. I checked it out and can say to anyone who likes eating good breakfast food, you will be disappointed. The food is not made here, it's from a Sysco or US Foods plastic container and is warmed before serving. It's like eating at the free buffet at a Super 8 or Motel 6. How is it that the majority accept eating greasy pre-processed potato squares that hardly taste Like a potato? How can we accept pre-made eggs that taste like trail food?
