The Dockside Bar & Grill Shark-A-Rita

With speedy service and a smile I got my garden burger and french frys .Everything was hot and tasty.Since it was shark week I decided to try the fascinating looking shark-a-rita, it was amazing and included a shark that looked like he was swimming around. Patio or indoor seating is an option ,plus a bar area to just come in for cocktails.

Ordered a spicy margarita tasted like simple syrup. Their policy is even if one sip you buy it. Yes manager was asked by the server to take it off the bill. Then ordered a vodka and soda and the soda was flat. Just steer clear yall the views are great but drinks and service sub par. Food is middle of the road.

This is somewhere you come strictly bc it's on the water and beautiful out. I ordered multiple martinis and each of them were disgusting.. they use soda water for a lychee martini and dirty martini had no vermouth which I've never heard of. The manager was also extremely hostile and rude. Go across the street to Remington or prescotts... soooo much better!

Fish fry was amazing!!! My date and I got a fish fry and broiled Cajun lime fish. We enjoyed both! It was a Friday and they don't take reservations so we had to wait for a table but we knew that before heading there. Bartender was awesome! Server was so-so but nothing is better than dinner on the water amongst friends. I'd be inclined to go back again!

I placed an order for pick up for meatballs and a chicken sandwich last night. First the meatballs were forgotten when my husband picked up out the order and he had to go back for them. When we got them, they were cold. I couldn't finish the first meatball as I bit into a piece of bone. They also had far too many onions in them. We've been to The Dockside many times and never had an issue. This is disappointing and we will rethink revisiting.

Reserved a table for restaurant week. The $35 surf & turf special was fantastic. Salad & dessert included for the fixed price. Chad was a great server too! Brought 4 other guests with me, left no one disappointed. Fair pricing, great atmosphere on the upper level, and a huge selection of beverages. Thank you very much.

Never a let down at dockside! You come here for an experience. Great vibe to the restaurant and the patio on the water is perfection! My service has never let me down. The bartender Tim is one of the best bartenders I've ever had! They are extremely attentive and accommodating. The food is always solid! No, it's not the best in WNY, but the atmosphere makes up for that in a heartbeat. For all my bills fans, this is a must stop! Free shots for touchdowns and the energy is electric! If you are in the area, take a night to experience dockside, I promise it won't let you down

We stopped here for a late dinner, it was pretty busy and they were which having their Halloween party which was fun to watch. I got the grilled vegetables which I had gotten last year, they were better last year. My partner got the steak frites which was good. Fresh cut fries. Their espresso martini is good. I got the pumpkin martini, it was good, loved the rim. Good service. Great Halloween decorations!

Beautiful meal, with a beautiful view!!

Prime location! You can get there by car, or dock a boat. Sit by the water and enjoy the view with some drinks and food. Everything we ordered was delicious and they were very gracious to split plate our shared lunches.

Not nearly as good as it once was. Menu is smaller with basic offerings. Capitalizing on the location / view.

It was not busy and we didn't have to wait for a table which is a plus. I ordered smoked turkey, with salad and sweet potato fries and a pg13 which was ginger beer, mint and I added a shot of vodka. When our food came out I had to question what was going on with the sweet potato fries because they had a thick coating and looked beer battered, not at all indicated on the menu. I asked the server, Kelsey W., and she paused and said yea I don't know for sure but if you can't have gluten I wouldn't eat them. I was annoyed at the situation and just took them off my plate but I understand this can happen. The server seemed annoyed and goes on to blame me and says I should have told her. Now will say I did have to go through the salad ingredients and pick most of them out, she didn't ask me about allergies either. And it's not common to add a beer batter coating to sweet potato fries without indicating it in the menu. The menu should be updated asap for other guests. Any other server would apologize for the situation and ask how they can make it better and not blame for a customer for a misunderstanding. After that I realized there was an extra sauce on the tray, I asked her to check with the kitchen to see what was in it, is it safe for me to eat? She came back 15 minutes later and said she will check and have an answer soon. It was not busy, this was not acceptable. Again clearly not showing any help for your guest with a food issue. This showed me she had zero concern or care about this or trying to smooth it over. Finally, towards the end of the meal I realized my water was leaking, had thought it was condensation as it was hot out. My glass, water cup had a huge crack in it. You would have hoped that someone would have seen it before serving it to someone. Clearly a safety issue. I hope I didn't ingest glass. I handed it back to our server and told her this glass needed to be tossed in the trash. Her response was another blank look, she didn't really care and just gave me another shallow I'm sorry. The rest of my meal was tasty and it was a large portion. Everyone else at my table had nice looking food and was happy with it. I will personally not come back here. District 37- it wouldn't hurt to update your menu and add what is gluten safe and indicate what kind of coating is on your sweet potato fries because a lot of people who choose these have special dietary needs. You should also train your staff to help bring up allergy issues with your guests and have more empathy if an issue arises. If this is something a server isn't able to work on they might consider an alternate employment opportunity.

The service was very good and it's a cute spot that I'd be willing to come back to. The best thing we had BY FAR were the beef croquettes. These were perfect, and I could have made a meal out of them. They had a tender birria like shredded meat inside with some cheese and probably some potato, I can't even remember but I do remember that everyone loved these. We also ordered asparagus, the Korean Fried Chicken, the shrimp with potatoes (all small plates) and one of my friends ordered the duck entree. My husband and friends had cocktails and mocktails; I didn't order one because they said they had nothing that was sweet. Incidental pet peeve: Saying "all our cocktails are balanced". I get it, you want to brag. But, some of us like things that are sweet, or as in the case of one of my friends, decidedly NOT sweet. If all of your cocktails are balanced the same way, it gives little useful info on what to order. I will respond to this by NOT ordering and sticking to tap water. I'd prefer it if you have a little something sweet and a little something not-sweet on the menu for those of us who don't actually want "perfectly balanced". That said, I did have a sip of the cocktails the others ordered. To my surprise, I liked the Broken Garden Tools. Though it wasn't particularly sweet it was also not super sour/tart and it was refreshing. I *could* have ordered that one, but I never would have known it from the description. I didn't like any of the others I tasted, but I can't remember what those were. Since I don't like whisky and I prefer sweet drinks, don't take this to mean that they don't have good drinks - the others enjoyed theirs, they just weren't to MY taste. Of the other dishes, I liked the cabbage that was on my friend's duck plate (I didn't try the duck). The asparagus was fine. The shrimp and potatoes was ok but not as good as I'd hoped for. And honestly, I didn't love the KFC. It didn't seem to be twice-fried and super crispy like KFC should be, and the sauce to me wasn't balanced between the sweet and spicy flavors I prefer. However, my husband liked it very well. The only other thing I'd caution is to double check ingredients. There was a dish ordered (I can't remember which now, some kind of bread maybe, but not listed as a bruschetta) that said it contained rosemary among other things but did not list basil. We saw no rosemary at all, but a lot of basil, which I can't eat. So I didn't have any. The others shared it. I would have been more disappointed had it been my selection. My friend noted that the server did not ask us about any food allergies, which, if your menu doesn't accurately list its contents, is problematic. Fortunately I know what basil looks like so no harm done. All in all, I would return, get lots of croquettes, order a Broken Garden Tools, and maybe try some other things we didn't get to. But I'd double check all the ingredients.
