We have eaten here a lot over the years. My hubby is from PA and every now and then wants a taste of home. The last couple of times it has not been the same. We just went yesterday and the decor is so odd now. It's like farm ish chic/ French bistro ish looking. The walls are shiny white and the rest is navy blue and the comfy booths are almost all gone replace by very uncomfortable and banged up chairs. I don't get it at all. The food is still good, although I noticed that the cheese steaks use canned mushrooms which is such a pet peeve of mine. Have I just never noticed before? Or is this a new owner thing. I miss the old place, all it needed was a fresh coat of paint and a little clean up. But nope... We have to turn it into some farm French cafe looking thing. With super uncomfortable and old banged up chairs.

Photos taken 6 months apart, all of the character, warmth and coziness has been stripped away, and replaced by drab white and grey. The cool yellowed vintage posters now dont make sense against the sterilized backdrop. If the owner reads these, I think grey/white minimalist design is on the way out in the next 5 years or so, people are longing for rich colors and unique atmospheres. Unfortunately youve already bought the supplies so I dont see it being changed again any time soon, just unfortunate such a cool place was dismantled. The food is good but a large part of why people leave their house and spend a premium over home cooked meals is for the experience/atmosphere

    Breaded Onion Rings

Went for a sandwich this afternoon and this place didn't disappoint. I had a Philly with peppers and onions. Delicious. The meat was tender and more than enough. My husband had the Philly slugger. It was chock full of meat, peppers, onions and mushrooms. For side items we had coleslaw and onion rings. The coleslaw made me think I was back in Massachusetts. Delicious flavor. The onion rings were ok. Christin our server was amazing. She checked on us often and made sure our drinks were always full. This place has been around for a long time but I never went to it. This is changing today. We will definitely be coming back. The restaurant was super clean.

Bill with tax added two times.

Watch out. They add sales tax to each individual item, then they total the meal and add it a second time. They keep the first 6.5% and only credit the second 6.5% to the taxes.

Went to see what all the hype is. There is not perfect Philly Cheese Steak unless you live in Philly, and even there you can find 2-3 versions. I was not overly impressed, the meat was chopped too fine for my taste; no evidence of Au Jus, (I prefer to have it running down my face when biting into) and little evidence of cheese. We ended up getting the Cheese sauce on the side. Making a Philly Cheese Steak is one thing, but don't try to convince people that it is the best in Fort Myers. The search continues...

I've been by the location quite a few times and finally said I am trying it! I love cheesesteaks so I wanted to put it to the test. I ordered the Cheesesteak with onions and a side of the rings. Over all I would rate this a 6/10. It was a decent steak but a little too wet for my taste. Made bread soggy pretty quick. I also enjoy my steaks with cheese wiz but i did not see the option on the menu. The rings were pretty good I added a side of ranch to dip and it paired well. Service was great. The waitress was very attentive to everyone and kept up with all the tables. The location has a very dinner/apple bees style feeling. Decor is sports related and mainly Philly teams. Plenty of space for big and small groups. Parking is abundant since this is a plaza with multiple businesses.

Hurricane Ian has left so much damage behind. They may be working with a limited menu, but they are working hard to provide fresh food to all those who have been without power for over a week. They are working tirelessly and have such a positive attitude. My Italian sun was over flowing with goodness and I even had to take 1/2 home ! Please support this small business - they are working to help get us all back on our feet.

This is the "Double Play" with extra meat and cheese. Doesn't even fill the roll. I'd hate to see the regular version.

We spent time walking around looking at all the artwork while waiting for our food, and there was a lot to see. They also had a big selection of seasonal specials, which was fun. I ordered the Island Vibes Punch, which was supposed to have coconut, pineapple, and matcha. I was expecting something more like a piña colada with matcha, but it ended up being really citrus-heavy and honestly kind of strange, not in a good way either. Two people in our group ordered it, and both drinks actually tasted different from each other. The food took a while to come out, probably around 20-30 minutes, but the staff was super nice and apologized several times. The food itself was okay. My sandwich could have used more filling because parts of it were mostly just bread. Overall, I'm glad we went because it was a cool experience and a fun place to explore, but it's probably not somewhere I'd go back to regularly.

Clearly, NMR specializes in Caribbean Cuisine with a heavy focus on Haitian dishes. Fish is a favorite on Caribbean Islands. In Haiti, poisson gros sel is a popular fish dish. It is simply a poached fish cooked in an aromatic broth. The term gros sel means rock salt, the fish is not salted or salty. With red and green peppers, onions, and some seasons and spices, the broth is light, tasty and flavorful. I ordered a Poisson gros sel, or poached red snapper with plantain, white rice and bean. What a treat! It tasted light, aromatic, and savory, with a little citrus flavor. As the white rice absorbs the broth, it gave your tastebud a surprise! Excellent dinner! The staff is attentive, friendly and welcoming! I observed they have a large number take-out orders. Lalo, Calllou and others look great, but will return just for poison gros sel alone!

This restaurant is TERRIFIC…read more We ate here our first night in Fort Myers. It was near our rental. They had a lot of fires going in the outdoor dining area, giving a festive vibe. And the parking lot was packed. On a Tuesday. So we thought "what the heck." The less than happy hostess let us know their indoor dining room was booked, but we could be seated at an outside table on the deck. So first advice- make a reservation. Even on a Tuesday in February. We were hesitant, but the shades were drawn, creating a wind barrier, and the fires were plentiful. We actually lucked out. Because working the deck was James, the most funny, engaging, witty yet sarcastic waiter. Ask to be seated in his section. Wait for a table of his to open if you have time. You'll thank me later. Now for the food. This place offers a little bit of everything, so if you're dining with friends and family, everyone should find something to their liking. For appetizers we started with their Bruschetta and Calamari. The bruschetta is like not normal, it's COVERED in cheese, and I'm not complaining one bit. It basically made them like little slices of pizza. 6 pieces. Delicious. The calamari was fine. A good portion with a decent marinade dip. For entrees we had their special of the night, lobster mac, plus steak salad, Bouillabaisse and pasta primavera. Dinner is also served with bread and an olive oil dip. The steak salad is a terrific value, for $20 you can't make this at home any cheaper. And the steak is seasoned well and served with a honey mustard dressing, which is good, but this would be better with a horseradish based dressing. The lobster Mac comes in a very generous portion, with lots of chunky lobster, three different cheeses and breadcrumbs. I hate to see lobsters terrific flavor concealed with anything but a dash of mayo or butter, but this dish slaps. The pasta primavera is fine, it's pasta with a ton of veggies (we added chicken). But the star of the show was the Bouillabaisse. Apparently Cristof has some creole cooking background, or inspiration, or something. Our waiter James said this was his second favorite dish here (the scallops dish was #1) but I'm here to tell you, I don't care if you are only so so like shrimp, or are unsure about mussels, get this dish and you will be licking the bowl dry. It's that good. For dessert we got tiramisu, key lime pie, pecan pie and a this ice cream thing covered in chocolate (like a truffle) with a cherry middle. Sorry, can't remember its name, didn't take any pics because we got them to go, and forgot to ask if any were made in house. They were priced like they were made in their kitchen, and we would order any of these again, so go for it if you like your sweets! We are in this area once a year and will definitely be back, and maybe you'll consider going off the beaten path and trying out this spot too!
