Called for delivery recently and the person the answered was very rude and not helpful whatsoever. I order over 30 dollars of food and expected so much more. That said the food was decent. I had the philly cheese steak and it was good. The cheese fries was very disappointed with the actually quality. The most disappointing thing however was the calamari. I would recommend no one ever get the calamari. Not only not worth the money but tasted terribly bland. Might order again but only if there's no other delivery options aside from pizza. read more

I found this place hoping that the food would be as good as home (Philadelphia) and was encouraged to find out that they have our hometown amoroso rolls shipped in for the cheesesteaks. The place was filthy, especially the grill but I was starving so I ordered a cheesesteak anyway. Big mistake. I was sick to my stomach for two days. They really need to clean up that kitchen. Also, one of the things that makes a cheesesteak so great is the bread but u have to toast it on the grill. As well as other sandwiches, wings, and a slew of deep fried appetizers, fries, and rings. I decided to get a cheese steak with onion, peppers, mushrooms, and whiz as well as an order of hot wings and onion rings. The wings were okay. Nothing special, but tasty. They could have benefited from being served with some celery. The onion rings were also not bad. A little bready, but they had good flavor. The star of the show, their cheese steak was good as well. A little on the small side, but the flavors were on point. Could have been a little juicer, but it satisfied. Overall it was an enjoyable meal, but it did not wow me. It was all a bit pedestrian. But nothing was bad. So will I be back? Absolutely. It's close, and decent, and satisfies my occasional cheese steak craving. Will I go out of my way to get here with other places around? The reviews had me excited to try it considering I'm from Philly and definitely crave steaks and Italian hoagies but unfortunately they missed the mark on both. The steak was dry, bland and no caramelized onions ... couldn't even finish it. The Italian has sweet ham or peppered meat of some kind which threw the whole hoagie off extremely, one bite I was done YUCK!!! Ordered online today.....while experience is usually a good one and they are pretty quick to deliver, my food actually showed up an hour after ordering. The onion rings were cold. When I called back to get it corrected, a young lady lacking customer service in reply to my complaint said what do you want us to do about it? Some customer service huh! She proceeded to put me on hold and got what I am assuming is the manager. However while on hold, I could hear someone picking up and then placing me back on hold. .....finally the phone hung up. I proceeded to call back and the young lady said to the guy here she is, she said the phone hung up. The guy made some excuse about not preparing the food until 12:55pm. ...although I originally ordered at 12:17pm, but didnt receive the food until 1:25pm. I doubt they cared at all....because when I said it appears that no one cares that the food received was cold, therefore I just will no longer order from you all. He said ok and hung up! I ate here several times in it's early days & finally tired of the owners attitude...some people need to be self employed and he's one! He had signs stating if you want "extra" expect to pay extra & you do. I decided to give it another try recently. I was happy to see the owner absent & most of his tasteless signs gone! I like lots of veggies so wound up paying $1.50 extra for onions, mushrooms, & green peppers. I felt the amount was decent, not "extra". The meat is tasty & I requested provolone, not traditional but personal preference.What I didn't prepare for was the amount of SALT maybe it spilled on my cheesesteak, but 3 days later I am still thirsty! Philly Phlava has had a special place in my heart for many moons. I've noticed some people trashing it b/c of slow delivery service, but dial it down, folks - it's not Papa John's. Do a cheese steak right and go to the damned sandwich shop, sit your ass at a table, and chow down. Try the basic pizza steak, the spicy Italian, buffalo chicken, anything...it's all tasty goodness. And everyone I've ever dealt with there, going back 15 years, has been super cool. One of the simple joys I'm stoked to have back in my life after over 3 years away in the land of the lotus eaters (Los Angeles). This place is a hometown jewel for me. Ok, went to get Five Guys fries next door and they are permanently closed..what happened? Anyway This Philly place stuck flyers on the windows where Five Guys was, so we went there....cheesesteak sounded good. We got a cheeseteak with peppers, onions and mushrooms and an order of fries. First bite into the sandwich and all I got was salt on some kind of weird meat. ok, hmmm..taste the fries...are you kidding me? I was a second time customer with Philly Phlava. food came good and fresh. I loved the fact that the delivery minimum was 'none' because at work I would order by myself and other places was too much food to order for it to be minimum 15 for just myself. I do not have a vehicle at the moment and I've noticed their delivery minimum went up and I'm upset about that because UBER trips are already expensive for me. I'm guessing they figured I was too far for them and moved it up because the last order took 3hours and they kept delaying it. Then I call, my food was otw finally. then they called me that the driver got into a car accident (which I expressed my apologies) and he told me they canceled my order. He realized I didn't agree with the canceled order so He offered another driver who was going to take an extra 30 min and to remake my food in the process. I guess he thought I was going to say never mind it but I was still hungry wayyy past my lunch time. SO yes They tried me ! Im so UPSET still. read more
