First time I've been there. I got a pretzel dog. The pretzel part was super crispy and hard to chew. The hot dog part was good.

Pretzels are delicious and rival the staples of STL. Service was great and the new location just makes them more easily accessible.

As much as I want to love and support this local place, the owner is completely oblivious and has…read moreno self-awareness. I honestly have no idea how they've stayed open so long. Possibly for some on a budget to dine out because they are inexpensive compared to other breakfast places around, but the quality matches the price. The service is basically nonexistent. We walked in on a Monday morning around 11:30 and there were three tables occupied. The owner was the only one working, I'm guessing because of how he treats his staff after reading other negative reviews that all sound strikingly familiar. My friend got one egg over medium, bacon, potatoes, and a biscuit and gravy. It looked disgusting. The egg was overcooked, but she seemed to be happy with it otherwise, so I won't make any other comments on her food. I on the other hand had already had breakfast earlier in the day so I decided to take a chance on a salad. Terrible idea. I ordered the grilled chicken salad, which is supposed to come with lettuce, tomato onion, cheese, green bell peppers, and dressing. I asked for honey mustard on the side. My salad did not come out until 10 minutes after my friend's hot meal came out. When it did, it only contained lettuce, tomato, cheese, and he gave me Italian dressing on the side. I immediately tried to stop him and ask him for honey mustard instead, but he dropped it and bounced without asking if we needed anything else. He proceeded to go up to the front counter, check out all three tables consecutively, make conversation with each as they were paying, completely ignoring my friend who was waving her hand and yelling to him. He kept saying oh I'll be right over! After a good 10 minutes, he came back over and handed me a ramekin of 1000 Island and told me, "Here try this one, I think it's honey mustard." Like seriously? Where the heck did that even come from? He didn't go to the kitchen on his way to the table! I took one look and could clearly tell it was 1000 island. I asked him if I could please just have honey mustard as I had originally asked for, and a side of tomatoes and green peppers with my lettuce, chicken, and cheese. This man tried to take my plate back to the kitchen to add those things instead of just bringing me a side dish. Make it make sense. At this point there are fruit flies buzzing all around our table because we're the only table now. My sad salad has been sitting there for 10 minutes and now you want to take my plate back? Anyway, my friend likes the place so I shut up and ate my unappetizing salad. This place is such a disappointment. I hadn't been in a while so, I had high hopes that it might have improved since I was last there. Honestly, I'm pretty sure it's declined. I wouldn't recommend it.

The quantity of the eggs was a little under normal and they were cooked a little too long. The bacon slices were big but nowhere crispy. The breakfast potatoes were a big clump which caused uneven browning. Perfect wheat toast and orange juice. Jonathan was my server and he was awesome. The vibe is small town diner.

We had a great waiter; he was attentive and helpful throughout the meal. We ordered a table appetizer to share, The Batter Dipped Lobster Bites are a big hit, for good reason! They come on a bed of crispy fries that are great on their own, but the lobster bites are fantastic! Crunchy but not greasy and dipped in the warm butter, yum! I have ordered different things every time I visit, this time I ordered off the chef's plates menu and went with the Steak Frites. Ribeye cap, lounge fries, the same fries as with the Lobster Bites, arugula, citrus herb aioli, and bearnaise butter. The Rib cap is a cut I haven't had before; it reminded me of skirt or flank steak. It was tender and flavorful. I love arugula and this with the citrus herb aioli was great. I would order it again. Signature Wedding Cake with vanilla ice cream, shared by the table, everyone enjoyed it. Great food, great service, loved by all my out-of-town coworkers!

Although I will say that the risotto was insanely good, and I did enjoy the bone marrow. Admittedly, the best part of the meal were my two bourbons lol. They have an excellent selection of bourbon, tequila, and other things. I know a couple things went right, but when you pay over $200 for a meal, I sort of expect everything to be perfect. This was super disappointing, and I honestly can't say if I'll go back or not. I can say this, I know other people who have been there, and they swear by the place, so I'm really hoping I just caught them on a bad night. It's just unfortunate. I would have to pay so much for a bad night.

Not having been here before I had called ahead and asked for a table close to the entry as one of our party has an illness and not as mobile as he'd like. I was pleased with the table that they had reserved for us and the hostess didn't mention why we got that table, imo that was classy as I had hoped they wouldn't bring it up. It just looked like we got lucky and got a table a bit larger than needed and near the front without being obvious. We had drinks brought out and I had the amore spritzer suggested by the server. It was larger than expected and fairly strong, great taste. The other two drinks were just standard gin & tonic and a beer. All three dinners were excellent: my lobster ravioli, calamari, and chicken Romano. The house salads were very good, as was the shared slice of cheesecake that ended our dinner. The food & drinks were excellent, the server was great interacting with us and doing some give and take, and it was not overly expensive. In cost this would be a 3 out of 4 or a 3.5 out of 5 if the top number was higher expense for a restaurant. Without a doubt I would go back on a date if I was looking to impress.
