Prices are outrageous. More than $50 for 4, no drinks, no sides. The food is mediocre at best, but price is absolutely bonkers.

Usually a fan, today was A-ok…read more I'd seen their $3 specials menu available Tuesday/Thursday and finally got my act together to try it. Good variety to choose from, I opted for a sausage wrap and a chicken taco. Added a potato salad and a coke from the fridge, bringing it to just over $10 after tax and before tip. Now this is the budget menu--don't be expecting fancy toppings on your taco. You're getting carb and meat. The sausage is short but fat, has good flavor and one wrap would do me for lunch. The chicken taco was not enormous, but generous with the chicken. It was well seasoned if on the dry side; both sausage and pollo were hot, smoky, and grilled tasty. So no onion/chiles, lettuce/tomato, no problem. Here's where it got weird. When I went to open the included standard shots of condiments, the bbq sauce was watery and my beloved jalapeño ranch....wasn't ranch. I think it was jalapeño mayo? Glad they came on the side, as I chose not to use them. An unusual glitch in smooth service for a year but I have to report honestly. If you're taking it home or carry Yellowbird sauce in your purse or car, you'll be fine. As it is, I was glad I'd ordered the potato salad to help that taco go down. Despite the off condiments, I'm happy with my budget items and I'll gladly try everything else on that $3 list outside of the corn dog. My usual caveat: I don't do big plates of carne here, just snacks and thick sandwiches. Love their late night hours, tons of parking, 95% friendly service. Their pork sliders are a solid bargain, and I'm a sucker for their Texas tots, stoner mac, and usually excellent jalapeño ranch.

This evening, I opted for my AJ's favorite, the bacon and fried egg cheeseburger. I wanted a…read morepretzel bun, and although they were out of pretzel buns, the sourdough bun -- toasted, natch -- was absolutely delicious. The burger was great: the meat was tasty, and the fried egg and bacon added just the right amount of flavor. Also, I got lettuce, tomatoes, and pickles to take away. There could have been more lettuce, but that is a minor nitpick. Fries were quite tasty, and all told, it hit the spot. I shared the burger and fries with Mrs. R. because as a forty-four-year-old who still wants to fit in his pants, I can't eat the full burger and fries. As always, great place, open late, and tasty.

Wow! I wasn't expecting much when I arrived. There was only 1 car in the parking lot. I usually go…read moreto restaurants where there are more cars which usually means the food is good. The restaurant got busier after we sat at our table. The restaurant doesn't look like much from the outside. The inside isn't much either. But the food and service was TOTALLY EXCEPTIONAL! We ordered some pot stickers and roll appetizers. They were very good. I ordered the "C4 Panang" with shrimp. The one word to describe this dish is "AMAZING!" The flavors were deep and complex. I thoroughly enjoyed every bit. The service was also excellent. My son ordered a dish with "Fried Snapper" which he enjoyed very much. I consider my son an expert in Thai food since he's been to Thailand and lived in England where the cuisine is heavily influenced by India and Thailand. Everyone at our table enjoyed their meals. Our waitperson checked on our table often but not overly intruding into our table's conversation. And the "Fried Ice Cream" and "Mango Rice" were unique and excellent endings to a great meal. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this restaurant.

I got another 5 off $20 coupon and Mr R wasn't flying out until the afternoon, so we grabbed brunch…read morehere to go. Migas plate has enough to make three pretty fat tacos. The new onions and peppers as well as eggs tasted fresher than most breakfast places. Still love their middle-ground salsa. Avocado toast benedict is Mr R's new favorite, (beating out their carnitas in his opinion and even after eating most of a tub of Fuego's good guacamole this weekend). I think it's absolutely wonderful, the only drawback being one of the soft eggs had leaked beautiful golden yolk but the base of toast and fried potatoes did a good job soaking it up. Enjoyable balance of rich and fresh, beautiful colors, filling without being sleep-inducing. It's more expensive than drive-through sausage biscuits or a taco stand and there's a wait if you don't call in your order ahead, but there is some tasty stuff here made with decent ingredients and presented well. Once again, it would have been worth the price without the coupon and I understand why this parking lot was busy after church hours. We'll definitely be back.

All the girls are super sweet but compared to the Hooters I grew up growing to in Arizona, this Hooters needs a lot of help. The girls don't follow the typical Hooters standards of greeting, making sure you have plates and silverware before your food comes out, asking if you want dessert, etc. but again the food always comes out amazing - no complaints. In terms of cleanliness this is something management needs to work on at this location. Dirty floors, windows, and bathrooms. Want to see this location improve. Otherwise kitchen staff - keep up the great work

Came to Hooters in San Marcos, Texas on a Wednesday night. Not a whole lot of customers here today…read morebut we still had a great time here. We were seated right away. Waitress came and took our drink order right away. She came back with drinks and we ordered fried pickles for an appetizer. They came out to us right out of the fryer. Just awesome, hot and crispy, perfect. For dinner, we ordered the 10 piece original bone in wings and 12 piece buffalo shrimp. My wife and I always share these so we always order the hot sauce and then I get a side of the 911 sauce and the ghost pepper sauce. I like my wings and shrimp spicy. These also got to us right from the fryer, hot and crispy. These also were amazing! We have been to Hooters all over the country and I have to say, this place was pretty cool. It's got a really nice bar in the center of the restaurant with seating all around. If you like sports, they have tv's everywhere. You have a view of a TV no matter where you sit. Also, the place is clean and I forgot to mention the waitress was great. If we are ever in the area, we will stop by again.
