Great vibe and light atmosphere. The couch is super comfy and fun to sit on. Excellent service - everyone is really friendly. Located in a lively area with a great crowd. The coffee is strong and good, similar to a European style. The lighting inside is beautiful, with an art gallery-style vibe.

This store has a good amount of tables to sit and enjoy your coffee, or to study. Tables were pretty full at 9am. I went with a friend, she got a mint cold brew with cream and I got a cinnamon oat-milk cold brew. She really enjoyed her drink. Mine was ok, I think it would've been better with a stronger cold brew.

Trying Philz for the first time since I usually make my own drip or espresso at home. Inside the cafe looks minimally decorated, plenty of seats. I stood infront of at the casher for a few minutes white another employee was just talking to another customer(?) and didn't even acknowledge me. The coffee tasted ok. Not bad, but nothing stood out either. Can't really taste the complexity of their coffee for a $6 coffee. Seems like they are more known for flavored iced coffee but definitely not my way of appreciating good coffee.

Absolute great experience today at Philz, I've never had it before so I was a first time customer, and the experience was fantastic the cashier assisted me with choosing something to my liking and it was exactly what I wanted, I tried there tiramisu. If you are someone who loves sweet flavor that is definitely an option I recommend. The quality of the coffee shop was amazing, everything was neat and well established made it me feel comfortable to sit down and do my homework with friends, can't wait to be back here at this location!

BE CAREFUL!! Strange item in my drink. Thank goodness I felt it when I drank it and did not swallow! It sucks because all of the baristas are so friendly and I love their coffee. I have been here many times and have never had this happen. I don't think I want to come back if there are literal choking hazards in the drink. Pictures below.

Although I've never been to this store, I always order delivery via DoorDash from this location for my office mates and I. They always deliver perfectly and in the BEST packaging ever!! The drinks from Philz are all delicious. My usual go to is the Iced Philtered Soul, sweet n creamy. I recently tried the oatmeal cookie cold brew today and it is delicious! Wish it was a bit more creamy but that's okay. Their monkey bread is also absolutely delicious. The Delivery Service is always great and the to go cup holder box it comes in is fantastic. Love the branding and everything about this chain. Hoping for a closer one in the valley someday! IG: @ammysalamii

A cup of coffee from PHILZ in Calabasas always makes my day! Especially because they're made with love (check out the label on the cup!). I usually place my order through their app, then pick up within 10 minutes. My favorite drink is the Iced Coffee Rosé - it's creamy, not too sweet, with a hint of rose flavor. Coming in at #2 is the Iced Mojito, which also seems like a customer favorite as I always spy multiple drinks with the mint leaf. Finally, when I'm craving for something on the stronger side, it's a hot Tantalizing Turkish for me. The Green Chile Burrito doused with hot sauce and the Mushroom & Potato Foccacia are a two thumbs up!! Hits the spot every time. The cafe has high ceilings, which brings in a lot of natural light. The pop of color on the far wall is a nice touch: Be Kind, Keep it Real. A cool reminder the moment customers walk into the door! Service is always great!! Indoor and outdoor seating available. Location: Erewhon shopping center.

Philz after a bike ride, mehhh.

Philz Coffee was... fine. My wife and I stopped by after a bike ride around the neighborhood, feeling good and caffeination-ready--only to discover there's nowhere decent to park a bike. We ended up wheeling them inside feeling like a couple bums looking for free water and public restrooms. The vibe? Minimalist, yes--but not in the cool, modernist sense. More like if a Burger King decided to sell pour-overs. The energy was low, the lighting flat, and the general mood inside felt like a Monday that never ended. I ordered the cold brew, which tasted like someone brewed drip coffee, forgot about it, then remembered and tossed it in the fridge for later. It wasn't bad, just... uninspired. Not the kind of drink you'd text a friend about. The baristas seemed like they were having a rough day, which happens--but we walked in buzzing from our ride and left feeling like someone had hit the emotional dimmer switch. That said, I'm giving it three stars. Maybe we caught it on an off day. I want to believe there's a better version of this place out there, hiding beneath the fluorescent lighting.

Anastasia gives fabulous service, and really helped me understand their poor Over model here. She recommended a little bit of cinnamon in the filtration with the decaf coffee I was getting. Great recommend Very vegan plant-based friendly. They have a vegan plant-based breakfast sandwich and they don't charge for nondairy Milk Take a look at the menu and putting pictures it will help you understand the order and process. The other gentleman who I believe was the lead at the cafe - was so helpful when I ended up deciding to add sweetener. I actually wondered if he was the owner. He did such a great job. He had such poise and pride in the store. I am so sorry I don't have your name in my memory right now, but you deserve a big shout as well. Kudos to the owner who has really found and trained an incredible staff. I would come back just for the great service and knowledge. Easy parking, big bright area, and indoor seating and outdoor patio

This is the Philz I frequent since there aren't many locations around. The staff here is always a pleasure and they're super attentive and helpful. The food always looks delicious but the most I have done is the everything bagel which is always a hit. The ambiance is laid back but also high paced. It seems more people enjoy the pick up option they offer since they're always on the go.

Omg, this new Vanilla Date Delight drink at Philz is in fact a true coffee delight. Holy moly, you can thank me later

The kale and cesear salads have fresh ingredient and perfectly dressed. And it's always the same exact item. A Cesar wrap (I always ask kindly) and a roasted artichoke. First, lately, the artichoke has been coming raw. But because it happens every few times, that was not the reasoning for coming today. Father's Day. We had a 12pm reservation and we were early- knowing it would be packed. Sat AFTER a large party that arrived after us- at 12:15, we were off to a rocky start. Waiter finally took our orders about 10/15 minutes after sitting. I tried ordering my Cesar wrap but was immediately snapped at that they didn't have tortillas. I replied 'you sure, quesadilla, do' . Not wanting to argue, under my breath I said 'I order it weekly but that's ok, I'll just take a Cesar salad!' Takes the rest of the orders and leaves. Mind you- there are two kids at the table. A 7 year old and 9 month old. I can't remember the last time the kids weren't served first. But hold on for that. 12:50, I ask the waiter the status and if the kids food can at least come out. He rudely comments about it being slammed and that all the food will come out when it's ready. No bother asking the people cooking it. He walks opposite direction. Before leaving makes it a point to rudely say 'but I put in your Cesar wrap'. Bro. Don't care. It's been an hour since our reservation, you sat us late and I just want my kids butter pasta. I get up and speak to a manager (12:55). Takes her like 10 minutes to get an answer and comes back to say 'it's just going to take longer. Jt is what it is.' Asks if we want bread and we said no thank you Waiter comes and slams tiny plates in front of all of us. Then proceeds to place down bread, steak knife in front of a 9month old. Who grabs it quicker than we can. Finally 1:45 kids and us finally get our food. An hour and Fourty five minutes from our reservation time. People sat after us around us were served before us and the kids. Sadly we will never eat here again, order take out or have any other family event here. Our engagement party was even at this location. big fat pppppopffffffffffffftttttttttttt

The Father's Day tomahawk steak special was a great value for the price and the portion was huge. The steak was good, but compared to other tomahawks we've had, it wasn't quite as memorable, which is the only reason for the 4-star rating. The creamed spinach was amazing, and the mashed potatoes were delicious. What truly made this experience stand out was the customer service. David and, I believe, Lance were absolutely wonderful. They were friendly, attentive, and made us feel genuinely welcomed. Their hospitality elevated the entire experience. While dining, I noticed several guests stopping to thank them, give them hugs, and say goodbye personally. That says a lot about how well they treat their customers. If management sees this, please know these two are incredible assets to your team and deserve recognition. We didn't order from the bar since we brought our own champagne, but the bartender was also very friendly. The service we received was also excellent, thanks especially to our server, Blake, who really made the experience more enjoyable. Star of the Night: Without a doubt, the focaccia was the best I've ever had. Perfectly fluffy, flavorful, and truly next-level. The pizza butter was a nice touch, though not as memorable as the bread itself. Appetizers: * Caesar Salad: I wasn't a fan of the presentation with the large anchovies on top. I don't mind anchovies in the dressing, but having them laid out on the salad wasn't appetizing. * Tempura Mushrooms: Great flavor, but they were overly fried, making them a bit too hard and masking the mushroom itself. The sauce that came with them was delicious, but there wasn't enough of it to balance out the crispiness. * Grilled Shrimp: Unfortunately, this one missed the mark. The plating was very plain compared to the other dishes, and the flavors just didn't come through. It felt like the dish could use a serious upgrade. * Hamachi Crudo: This was a highlight! The passion fruit purée paired beautifully with the fish, though the extra oil on the plate caused separation and made it hard for the sauce to stick. A small tweak here would make it perfect. Entrees: This is where the meal lost momentum. After the apps, it took about 30-45 minutes for the mains to arrive, which felt unnecessarily long since the full order had been placed upfront. By the time they arrived, the dishes themselves didn't really deliver. * Scallop Curry: Decent flavor, but the scallops could have used a much better sear to really shine. Something about the plate felt a little off-balance. * Pappardelle with Short Rib Ragu: The pasta noodles were well-made, but the short rib lacked depth of flavor and tenderness. It seemed undercooked for what should have been a slow-braised, melt-in-your-mouth kind of meat. Overall, the dish was bland and uninspired. Drinks & Dessert: I skipped the cocktails because none really stood out, but the glass of wine I ordered was excellent. We also passed on dessert after waiting so long for the entrees. Final Thoughts: The restaurant has a lot of potential, the ambiance is beautiful, the focaccia is unforgettable, and the service (thanks to Blake) was wonderful. But the rest of the menu felt inconsistent, with several dishes needing more attention to detail in both flavor and presentation. I'm glad I finally tried it, but for me, the focaccia and service were the true highlights of the night.
