Beautiful interior, friendly staff, but overrated beverages. I came here with a friend and had very high hopes due to the social media trends raving about their drinks. We ordered an iced Strawberry Matcha Latte and an iced Perfect Latte, which were both good, but not necessarily great. Although the matcha was creamy, the flavor was light and a bit too sweet for me (this is personal preference, so if you prefer sweeter matchas, this might be a good choice!). As for the coffee, it was honestly nothing special, just your average sweet latte. The drink price ranges from $6-$8, which is relatively normal for LA cafes. I will say that the decor and ambiance are wonderful, and there is plenty of outdoor seating with umbrellas. From the moment you step towards the store from the parking lot you already feel magical vibes. The fountain in front of the store is beautiful and the entrance of the store and interior are just as beautiful. Just screams chic vibes. They have indoor and outdoor seating. I tried the matcha einspeiner, matcha squared latte and strawberry milk for the kiddo. Also got the chocolate chip cookie and hand and guyre croissant. This La La Land is one of the better ones out of all of the locations in Los Angeles or in the greater LA area. They're located at the Calabasas Commons and even surrounded with all of the construction, they're still better than the Westlake Village location. Unfortunately, though, the construction I think is still a big turn off for people, as the restaurant next door, Marmalade Cafe, just closed down from the lack of customers due to construction after being open for over 40 years of business. The service here, though, is great! Someone always says hello to me when I enter, and the line is never too long since I feel like they take orders pretty quickly. La La Land's are never really slow, so it's important to work fast as a barista. The workers are focused, but calm and collected while making the food and drinks. It's fast and easy, which is super convenient for me and makes me want to be a returning customer here. Outside, they have a cute little sitting area with chairs and tables to sit at, along with the water fountain/ pond area with the turtles that are always fun to look at. If they can balance the amount of business that's projected after all of the surrounding work is done, then I think they will be better cemented in the area. Nevertheless, it's a fan favorite in the area and I'd make the stop here if I'm out in the area. The food is always good, whether it's the toast or the pastries, and their drinks have never been an issue or made incorrectly. Dropped my car off for service and stopped in here for coffee. The inside of this place is nice and open very clean cute design. Very affordable prices two large coffee drinks were $13. So excited to visit La La Land cafe for the first time! Friendly barristas! Delicious hibiscus iced tea! A huge variety of avocado toast, i had the one with burrata and it was the best I've ever had! So sad that they have such an unkind policy of not exchanging a stainless steel Tumbler for another item for the same price within a minute of purchase. This is a review based solely on ambiance since I did not buy anything but my friend did. Ambiance: STELLAR Great vibe. Beautiful color scheme. Lighting augments the good vibe. Love the couches. I'm sitting on an individual seat right now and it's par excellence! The name of the place fits. The current song and the last were 80's and 70's - and who doesn't love music from those decades? Okay my friend had a banana cloud latte and she gave me unmistakable yes nods so that's two thumbs up I think. I may go and get one! Anyway, love the place. Oh and another thing. This time around, I arrived around 10:40am on a Sunday morning. The parking lot was busy, but there were spots if you were willing to walk a little bit further. I placed my order online, and it was ready when I arrived. I did notice there were quite a bit of people waiting inside for their drinks around this time. I think being busy is just the norm. I ordered the Medium - Banana Cloud Latte (matcha), and my partner ordered the Medium - Keith Lee Latte. These two drinks came out to $15.10. We both enjoyed our drinks with no complaints. Overall, drink quality both times have been great. I would definitely recommend ordering online to avoid the wait to order, and then the drink is ready so you just have to grab and go. My experience at La La Land Café was very positive with delicious items, friendly staff, and beautiful decorations. However, seating was a bit limited inside, and some items are a bit pricey. First, I ordered the banana cloud latte, and it was very good. It wasn't very banana heavy. As someone who prefers more banana heavy drinks, I wish there was more banana. However, it had a nice taste, and the Matcha was smooth. I could see how others would really enjoy it! The staff taking our order was very nice and friendly. I did come to this location to study, but it isn't the best for that kind of activity. The seating inside is limited and it's a bit on the loud side. There is some seating outside, but I would prefer to study at the nearby library. Lastly, it is a bit expensive. I ordered a small, and it came much smaller than I expected for the price. Overall, it was a good experience and I would go there again. There are many more drinks to try and they often have collaborations with other brands (this week there was a Beverly Hills Hotel collaboration) , so there's usually some kind of limited time drink to try. read more

While making my drinks upon talking to them, it turns out that the new worker at the register--who didn't repeat my name back as they usually do--typed my name incorrectly. I came to the commons to go to Barnes and noble but it wasn't open until 10am so I decided to get coffee. It was my first time so I asked for a recommendation. The very nice employee said I should get the Lala latte. She did warn me that it was on the sweeter side but woah was it sweet! It was good but a little too sweet for my liking. I opted for non fat milk which helped but I would try a different drink next time. I did love the yellow cups and heart stoppers for the coffee. Staff: The team here was nice but nothing above and beyond. Quality/Quantity: The drinks here so so good. We got the Banana Cream Top Latte which is now my absolute FAVORITE drink ever. I love banana flavored anything so this one really was a grand slam. I opted to lose the matcha and add espresso instead. We also got the Mango Passionfruit Cooler which was also really good. I also liked how there was no line and the drinks came pretty quickly! However, the drinks themselves were underwhelming. The Keith Lee Matcha was okay at best. It didn't give you a strong matcha flavor and it was really mild. The strawberry on top was sour and all the salt went on it. The banana cloud matcha was much better in taste. The banana and matcha together just weren't balanced. The banana flavor profile was overpowering the matcha a little too much.
