Out of all the Philz Coffee locations I have visited, this one has the worst customer service. I always feel unwelcome here, especially because of one barista who is very rude and unfriendly. She never greets customers, just stares when you walk up to the register with an unwelcoming look, which makes the whole interaction awkward. read more

Great coffee, excellent service, beautiful location and very clean. The wait is a little longer than others (but not too long) but that's expected with a brand new location and also pour over coffee. If you're expecting the speed of Starbucks or instant coffee, this may not be the place to go. Pour over coffee takes more time to make, but that's also why it tastes so good. I'm glad they're here in the IE and I will gladly wait for a good cup of their coffee. read more

I was so excited for them to come here, but it wasn't very pleasant when I got my usual mocha tesora order. Out of all the other philz I've been to, this was the only location where they didn't have those chocolate bits in the coffee, which Is what I loved about it the most. When I tried to explain to the baristas that it didn't taste right, they didn't offer any solutions and just basically said the other locations were the ones that didn't make it right. So excited to have Philz in the IE. Was hitting this spot in LA when there for work. Love the mint drink iced and creamy. They have a good amount of choices and pasties. More area to sit and do some work. Nice to have different options for specialty coffee and the prices are not quite as much as the other guys. Kinda a neat touch, they tell you to taste your drink to see if you want anything else added or different. Has a more personal effect. Give it a try, you won't be disappointed. read more

Good coffee! As for the food items, I would not get breakfast or muffins. The breakfast burrito taste like tortilla and a small amount of potato. The burrito has left a bad taste in my mouth all day. The breakfast burrito from Starbucks taste way better! Both Philz and Starbucks use breakfast items that are frozen, but Philz is just awful. I usually love the drinks from this place I used to live next to the one in Fullerton. I've been to this location at Victoria gardens a couple times now and the customer service in comparison to other locations is ehh, baristas always seem mad/irritated about something and we ordered two burritos with hot sauce (they are $6 for a tiny little thing) and both were still cold in some places and they forgot the hot sauce..for that much you'd think they'd care more about food temperature and order accuracy..and the lady was not very much at checkout, very aggressive tone. The first few days they opened were the best. The staff were super polite & accommodating. Today was a different story. The barista kinda threw a dirty lid on the counter once my drink was called out. She didn't really acknowledge me as I cleaned the lid, grabbed my coffee (which wasn't that great) and left. I absolutely love Philz coffee so I'm still a customer just probably not at this location. I'll wait for Claremont to open, hopefully that one will be better. People have been waiting a long time for this location to open and I get that it can be busy at times but if you continue to run it like a McDonald's you won't have any regulars. I went to their soft opening today, and the free coffee and burrito were fantastic, but the girls out front helping with the hecticness of day 1 were even better. I actually really like their coffee here even though it's not espresso and they don't do that here. It is really good coffee and it has a great flavor without having to add so much syrup, some sugar and flavoring, and they have a great variety of flavors to choose from. And I'm surprised that I'm able to get the caffeine That I would normally get from espresso, so definitely give this place a try for yourself and pastries are yummy. read more

They all were completely off in flavor, sweetness, etc. I know the baristas are new and probably still learning but everyone was asking to get their drinks altered or changed, so it evidently wasn't just my order. the employee that took my order seemed like she was in a rush to get us out even though we had been the only customers in the store before it had gotten busy again. while the employee did verify we ordered 3 drinks before paying, we still had to be charged twice because she only charged us for 1 drink. thankfully they made our orders fast, however i'm a little disappointed in the service we experienced as we did not feel welcome. read more

Waited an absurd 35 minutes for 2 coffees. When I asked the manager if this is the usual wait, she stated yes, it's busy so it's an average of 15-20 minute wait. If you don't have 30 minutes to wait for your coffee, go to Klatch or Badass Coffee instead for delicious coffee without the wait. read more

I would have to really be honest - i have waited for this coffee shop to open in Victoria Gardens - where I work. And since I work nearby, I have practically tasted every food and dining cafe and restaurant that offer coffee in theor drinks menu. From Starbucks (theres 3 starbucks in the location), Crepe De Paris, Corner Bakery, TCB, Peet's Coffee, Verve Coffee, Lavazza Coffee from Panini Kabob Grill, even the coffees being served by TGIFridays, CF, and that Art studio store - Philz is so mediocre in their brewed coffee. Please take note that I dont drink blended drinks unless it's a hot peppermint mocha from Starbucks. I have always ordered brewed coffee without cream and sugar. Philz has no traditional coffee and I get that but on its opening day, I ordered the Tesora which is supposed to be medium blend (after being so confused with the cashier's explanatiom on what Tesora is - she said we dont have just plain brewed coffee and she presented some ingredients and I heard chocolate, nuts and so on). But my hot brewed Tesora was too sour. Like brewed from an old coffee bean. Order took too long like 15 min which I understand, but the one thing that threw me off was the tomato focaccia. It was not warmed up it was served cold and hard and chewy. The store also does not give employee discounts to the Victoria Gardens store employees unlike the others. No enough tables and chairs. Most tables are occupied by people on their laptops and these people I guess were all from Philz corporate. They kept on talking out loud enough to overhear about their customer service and trainings but man, part of the service is food quality. I was way too over excited for this store and first day of its opening it was all disappointment. Honestly the brewed coffee from Corner Bakery is 10x better tasting. I hope Philz will improve. Again I dont care about blended drinks, my review is about their hot brewed coffee and food. read more

PHILZ has very quickly become my go to coffee spot. The coffee is amazing. The service is EXCELLENT. Susie in particular is absolutely stellar at her job. She helped me on a very busy day. With a huge line behind me, I didn't know what to order and she was so patient so kind and made sure I ended up with exactly what I wanted. I've never had a sub par experience here. We placed a mobile order around 10am with our usual order, 2 Philtered Soul cold brews with a breakfast burrito. It was scheduled to be ready by 10:45am. I walked in 15min earlier and my drinks were ready. I waited about 10 min and went to follow up on my food and was told by the girl preparing the food that she will not start my order since it's not 10:45am yet. It was clear that other orders where coming in and she was preparing their food first and by this time, my coffee was watered down. I don't understand their process but that response was ridiculous! I love Philz coffee. i have been to Philz in OC many times and now they are here in Rancho Cucamonga. My favorite drink is the Iced Mint Mojito. I love the rich and creamy mint flavor. I have been to the Rancho Cucamonga location 5 times now and ordered the same drink each time. However, I find the Iced Mint Mojito at the Rancho Cucamonga location to be less rich and creamy than the OC locations. It is a little watered down. The line can be busy and with only one cashier. I recommend using their mobile app so you don't have to wait in line. The store is small and not a whole lot of sitting area but what they do have is nice. read more

never had philz until this location opened up at Victoria Gardens, i've only ever tried the Oatmeal Cookie cold brew and Philtered Soul cold brew and they were both delicious the first two times i got them but the past couple times I have gone it's been trash lol.. it just taste like flavored water and it's disgusting.. i do order online so im not to sure if they have the drinks sitting there before pushing it through the app to let you know it's ready but I always get go to get it as soon as the barista says it done and the flavor is not there at allll... not to sure what's going on but yeah read more
