Another magical hole-in-the-wall right in our hood. We used to have to travel to Malden for the best pho we could find but that is no longer needed after discovering P-1. It's quaint and has some awkward steps involved with two levels of tables. We were there one February night when it was close to 0 degrees outside and the front tables by the windows seemed awfully cold so we had ourselves moved which they happily obliged. Parking can be tricky but not exactly difficult. It's a main drag of state route 38 with cars speeding by but check some of the side streets (watch for the restrictions) and you should have no more than a three minute walk to the restaurant. Pho hoac mi is the staple here and clearly what they excel at with an amazing price point. I tend to order all kinds of meat, from the tendon to the flank steak. They put the thinly sliced steak in very late and it still comes to the table raw, other pho restaurants have made this faux pas for me in the past so I appreciate them not doing it here. Another staple they get right is the ample supply of "rooster sauce" along with hoisin, it's plentiful at each table along with clean soup spoons. The basil has been a bit discolored in the past but there was enough where I just avoided using those leaves to add in the soup. They offer over 10 different options for vegetarians so don't feel like everything is going to be meat-based....it looks like there is even a vegetarian broth for the pho hoac mi. The appetizers are splendid as well, the Goi Guong fresh summer rolls are a good compliment to any pho bowl. There are 23 appetizer options to add on and something for everyone. I was disappointed here only once, hence the non full 5-stars. I got the Bangkok Paradise and have posted a picture of my dish. It is supposed to be chock full of four different kinds of fruit. But alas, it seems to have been forgotten by the chef which was one of the only reasons I ordered it. Lesson learned, don't stray away from the pho that they do best and stick with what works. read more

I have been here a couple of times. It's a small place but definitely gets full and busy, which means its good! They close for a little from 3pm to 4pm. I had gotten there at almost quarter of 3pm. This after I realized it when they were putting their coats on. They were nice to let me eat my pho without rushing me, but I tried my best to eat as fast as I could. Friendly staff! I went there yesterday ordered to go, and find out that their menu expanding and I think they did something in their restaurant too. It looks cleaner now. I'm happy for them! I love PHo been eating this soup around, their quality of the meat is better than other PHo around -that I have been tried so far- but something about the broth. This place has me really confused. I got a medium pho, and it came with 3 pieces of meat... no joke... 3 pieces of meat. Yum! So glad we tried Yelp delivery oh a whim. The food was delivered HOT and delicious. The peanut sauce with the steamed veggies hit the spot. The apps were a crowd pleaser. Dumplings were steamed and the crab Rangoon were the biggest/fully stuffed I've had in the area. I tried a hot soup with tomato, roasted garlic and pineapple. It was perfect for a cool evening. My boys wanted chicken pho so that is what led us here and they gobbled up a lot of it. I loved how they allowed you to choose a noodle type when ordering online. Looking forward to trying more ! Honestly, I underestimated this place when I entered. But big things come in small packages. It's the same for this place. Small restaurant with humble decor but lots of food options on the menu. The place closes at 9:30pm on Friday and we entered at 9:20 pm and they were happy to accommodate us. We ordered vegetable tempura, yellow curry and drunken noodles. They were super delicious. This is one of the best Thai food I had in Boston area. This place is a hidden gem. The people working there are super polite and kind. Kudos to the team. You folks are doing a great job. The food is still pretty good here. The quality is great. I'm still a big fan of the pad thai, and it's my favorite place to get it. The place is small and is always packed now so I suggest to come early to get a seat. I've been coming here for over a year now, and I feel like portions have gotten a bit smaller than what they were used to. The service has become a bit slower now too. I've waited almost 40 minutes for my food once. I understood that it was a busy night, but my friend's food came a bit over 10 minutes after I got mine. The place itself was fairly small but the taste of the food made it well worth the wait. There were so many options to choose from and you literally taste the freshness throughout the meal. The only thing to plan for is that the street parking is 30 minutes and the wait to be seated was 20. We parked for an hour with no issues, but If I were to do it again I would've ordered to take out. I use to absolutely love their pho gha & visit weekly. Last couple times it seems to be less tasteful and more expensive.

This place is the only authentic Vietnamese noodle shop in the area. Parking is a hassle and the small eatery can only accommodate small groups. We have actually arrived that before and had to leave because there were no tables and a few other groups waiting before us. The menu offerings is good, there are lunch combos, noodle soups, Thai dishes and some rice plates. Prices are very reasonable. I like everything on the menu but I usually go for the pho. Service is inconsistent. Sometimes the food comes out really fast and sometimes we have to ask for it to go. read more

Been in here three times in the past four months. I'm in agreement with a few of the reviews. I've had lots of Pho over the past 30 years. I think they need to put more meat and vegetables in the soup itself. That said, their prices are low. Broth was fine by the way, sides of sprouts, limes, basil (fine). Service staff could have been just a bit friendly ( Hi--good day. How are you? Thanks for coming?) They added the bill and added tax but didn't put a line in for tax, thus the total on the food (itemized ) and the bill total didn't match....just a mysterious high figure that didn't match the food total. Amazing, reminds me of a lot of the family run pho places back home! I got a Dac Biet with no tripe. Man it was good. The meat was so tender, the tendon, which is always my favorite, was so soft and plentiful. I also asked for chili oil on the side and it was smoky and HOT and made my pho so much tastier! Had to take off a star. Got the Woburn black bean catfish dinner and the fish was sliced into 1/8 thickness slices. No black beans ( aren't beans super cheap)? Pho#1 is very close to where I work. I would consider Pho#1 as my booty call for hot soup on a chilly day like today. Granted, I've been here twice, they make a pretty decent Pho soup in this area. I have my favorites closer to where I live. It's a small little hole in the wall. Ambiance isn't astounding. But, when I'm in need to cure my Vietnamese fever, Pho #1 will just have to do for lunch. They serve Thai food as well, as my boyfriend had the Lunch special Pad Thai. It was somewhat soggy and mushy. Flavor is all there, but texture is dead. Personally, I wouldd only stick with the Viet side of the menu. Service is as dull as it gets in Asian restaurants. Though, I have no doubt that they are fully capable. My mantra when it comes to any Asian dining: it's not about service, it's about the food. No worries here. Cell service was no where to be found. If you're Checking-In with Yelp, you must step outside. Prices are decent. Parking may be difficult to find. This is my spot when I start to get homesick. I work 14 hour days in oppressive air conditioning, nearly constantly lit by high wattage fluorescent lights. This pho shop is my respite. I usually get the chicken pho, but everything is good. I drink their coffee, and appreciate their quick service. While sipping what dark luxury remains in my cup, I put out of my mind that I probably have lived longer than I have left to live, and that I'm spending what time remains in Woburn. From the outside, this place looks old but the inside is clean and functional. This place seems to have more take-out orders but a friend and I decided to sit down. The server came over with waters and menus. It was my first time there so the server gave us more than enough time to look over the extensive menu. I knew I wanted Pho, but my friend had no idea. The server took our orders and within 5 minutes had our appetizers (scallion pancakes, vegetable dumplings, and their Tom Yum soup). Overall, they were good. Can't go wrong with scallion pancakes but my vegetable dumplings kind of fall apart once I picked them up with the chopsticks. Next came the Bac Diet Pho I ordered in a medium bowl (although it looked like a XL). There was plenty of noodles, vegetables, and beef. I added some siracha to the soup and it was awesome, although I noticed the soups are very heavy on cilantro which I don't like but managed. I would advise the server to hold the cilantro or put less in it. To end the meal, we ordered thai iced tea and passion fruit bubble tea. The ice tea was amazing, very tasteful and rich.
