We've eaten at most pho places in Olympia, but this one is our favorite. Our family has eaten here regularly for years- the food is always solid, and the service is great. The steak pho and the meatball pho are delicious- and the egg rolls are worth it too. Also really love some of the soft noodle dishes! read more

I saw the ratings on Yelp and thought I'd check them out. Been trying to break the burger/pizza/taco(Bell) habit(I will never abandon you, street Tacos!!). I saw they had a drive thru which took away my last excuse not to go visit. So I go in, I order the #9 to-go and I was firstly shocked at the size of the bag they handed me. My dad requested pho and I immediately agreed. The weather was slightly chilly and wet so pho was the best decision. My family apparently comes here a lot and they swear it's the best pho place they've tried and they love the size of the serving. There were only two servers there with an almost full restaurant and they were super efficient and on point. They definitely didn't mess up any of our orders (5 of us) and the service was pretty quick. People were coming in and out and the only thing I noticed was that people who showed up there weren't very diverse. They were all similar background and that was disappointing especially for a pho place. I swear, ever pho I've tasted tastes the same. All delicious but nothing has out beat the others. I was just super impressed with the service and the food quality. Will definitely be back. read more

Solid authentic Pho...eh on the service. Table ordered beef Pho and the spring rolls. Everything was just ok. Nothing was bad...just ok. Service was...less than eh...they forgot our veggie plate, didn't refill drinks, and kept forgetting that I was waiting for the bathroom key. I'm curious as to the "102" in the name? Standard Vietnamese fare including Pho noodle soup. It was average, not bad but not great. I like to support new restaurants ESP in my own town. It's very strange that the entrance to the bathrooms are from the outside! The building was an Arby's. Driving your car to the restaurant is most challenging unless you are driving eastbound on Trosper. If you come up north on Capital Way you can cut across the old bank on the corner, but be careful of the oncoming traffic! Lol Service was very polite & prompt. I will return! read more

Okay when I tell you this place was awesome THIS PLACE IS THE BEST RESTAURANT EVER. The waiters wasted no time while taking orders and delivering them. The bathrooms are not dirty, and the food is so good! They have a variety of foods to choose from, my personal favorite is brisket and spring rolls. I do have to complain on one thing though, on one of the food orders you can get you have to pay a extra dollar for them to add a egg. You can make a egg at home for free. read more

This is a place that is worth getting off I5 for. The spring rolls are top notch quality ingredients but could be rolled tighter to keep all the goodness in. The pho is a show stopper. Unbelievable craftsmanship on the broth and the beef is the best I've had to date. read more

So... reviews are random... so I try to communicate what I'm reviewing. Service/Venue/Atmosphere - It feels like a middle of the road Asian restaurant. It was sufficiently clean and the service was adequate. I feel like the service matched the atmosphere. Food - I am uninitiated in regards to pho and Vietnamese food in general. So this was my first go and I went with the sandwich (bahn mi) and spring roll. They were both good. I did not know what to expect with regard to the sandwich. I liked it... the veg and pork were quite good. The ingredients seemed fresh and each bite had meat and veg in it. I would get it again. The fresh roll/spring roll was also good. I've had lots of these other places. I would say it and the peanut sauce were good but nothing spectacular. I did like that they cooked the tofu to a crispy point - a first for me in these types of rolls... and it left me wondering why everyone doesn't do the tofu crispy like these guys. Overall - those of us who actually read reviews are looking for a recommendation... so here it is. Try them out. While the venue isn't awesome, the food makes up for that and then some. read more

Recently we ordered take-out from here. This was our first visit. The person that answered the phone was very courteous and knew exactly what I was asking for. They said they were out of fresh spring rolls which was sad but I hope to try them sometime. (I took off one star for this.) We ordered two regular size steak and brisket phos. We went in to pick them up and saw they have a drive thru - super cool! The restaurant looked clean and everyone in there looked very happy with their food. The portions looked very big. I greatly appreciated that they didn't have loud music playing (as I have a hard time with loud sounds, too many sounds and music in general). In fact, as an aside, my favorite pho place is Pho Hoa in Lacey across from Red Robin but they usually blare their music so I can't stay inside. I will say the staff there is fabulous as well as their food! Anyhow, back to this new place. Check out was fast, the food was read when we arrived. It was $17.04 including tax. We get home and I prepared the soups. There wasn't a large amount of meat like I am used to from the other Pho places but it was enough, I didn't feel cheated. They gave us tons of bean sprouts and basil - my favorite part of the whole dish. They gave us tons of broth! (I'll be eating that for lunch tomorrow!) There was a perfect amount of noodles. There was also an adequate amount by of sliced jalapeños and lime slices - both were fresh. The small containers of sauce they gave us were incredible! I can't tell you what it was, as I don't know, but it was yummy!!! They packed plenty of napkins, silverware and best of all two sets of chopsticks. Very nice chopsticks, not the cheap kind that give you splinters in your lip. All in all, a great restaurant for the whole family. The staff were knowledgeable and professional. My 5-Star rating is based on the other places I have tried in the South Puget Sound Region versus all places. This is the best Pho I have had since moving to Thurston County almost two years ago. (I had a favorite in the San Gabriel Valley of California, Vietnam House, which I consider superior, but this is by-far the best in the Olympia-Tumwater-Lacey area that I have tried.) Solid and flavorful broth, fresh, nice flavor of meat, they give a generous portion of basil, lime and bean sprouts. I am a creature of habit when it comes to Pho and usually get the Pho Ta' or Chicken Pho if I am feeling a little stuffy. (Yes ... that old American belief that Chicken Soup will cure anything ... I just like it Vietnamese style.) I do need to add more flavoring to make it to my liking, but they do have the Hoisin sauce, chili paste, and additional accoutrements available on the tables. I have tried a few of their appetizers and those have been flavorful too. The staff is pleasant and attentive. They do have a drive-through window if you call and place an order to pick-up. That way you don't have to get out of the car and go in to pick it up ... a nice feature when it's raining, you're tired, or you just don't feel like dealing with people and you are hungry. read more

Came here with my mom. She would eat at this family's last restaurant, and brought me along. We were seated and had drinks quickly. The menu was well organized and clear. Our food came out quickly, but long enough to make it obvious it was fresh. Our food and tea arrived hot and plated very neatly. The restaurant was clean and well lit. The blinds had been adjusted to keep the dining room comfortble. I have eaten my fare share of Asian cuisines and the food was great. I have been back several times. This place is fresh and when these guys put down a bowl of pho it's amazing. The pho was hot and great tasting I never had chicken PHO that was so amazing. I go to Pho 102 at least once a week, if not more in the Olympia area this is by far the best Pho restaurant around the number 35 with wonton and vermicelli is some of the best soup that I've ever had. Number 38 soft noodles with seafood is an awesome awesome dish even my 12 year old loves to come to Pho 102 Very family-friendly, the owners are very friendly even when the restaurant is packed I still can get service at a reasonable time and served quickly.
